Abstract

A positive work environment is an essential factor in enhancing employee motivation and performance, particularly in public sector organizations that play a key role in community services. This community service activity (PKM) aimed to improve understanding and implementation of positive work environment practices to strengthen the motivation and performance of human resources in Cicalengka Village, Pagedangan, Tangerang. The activity was conducted at the Cicalengka Village Office on August 31, 2025, and involved ten lecturers from Universitas Pamulang as facilitators. A total of fifteen village officials participated in the program. The PKM activities were carried out through a combination of lectures, practical sessions, group discussions, and question-and-answer interactions. This participatory method encouraged active involvement and reflection from participants on their daily work practices. The results of the activity showed an increased awareness among participants about the importance of creating a supportive, communicative, and collaborative work environment. Participants also demonstrated improved motivation and readiness to apply the concepts of a positive work culture in their organizational setting. In conclusion, the PKM activity contributed to strengthening the capacity and mindset of village officials toward a more productive and harmonious work environment, which is expected to improve overall performance and service quality in Cicalengka Village.

Abstract

Human resource development is essential for empowering communities and fostering sustainable social entrepreneurship, particularly in rural areas where access to knowledge and practical skills remains limited. Yayasan Tajaul Karomah in Desa Situ Gadung, Tangerang, faces challenges in optimizing the capabilities of its teachers and students to initiate socially beneficial entrepreneurial activities. This community service activity aimed to enhance human resource competencies based on social entrepreneurship by providing knowledge, practical skills, and motivation to teachers and students to engage in socially-oriented business initiatives. The program was implemented at Yayasan Tajaul Karomah on October 4–5, 2025, by a team of nine lecturers from Universitas Pamulang and involved 32 participants, including teachers and students. The methodology combined lectures, hands-on practice, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions, ensuring participants could understand theoretical concepts and directly apply them in practical scenarios. As a result, participants demonstrated significant improvement in understanding social entrepreneurship principles, business planning, problem-solving, and community engagement. They also expressed increased motivation to develop sustainable entrepreneurial projects that generate social impact, while discussions facilitated the exchange of creative ideas and strategies tailored to the local context. The activity successfully contributed to strengthening human resources, promoting social entrepreneurship awareness, and laying the foundation for ongoing community empowerment initiatives at the foundation and surrounding areas.

Abstract

The development of human resources in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is crucial to enhance productivity, competitiveness, and digital literacy in local communities. Many SMEs still face challenges in adopting digital tools for marketing, financial management, and operational efficiency, which limits their growth potential. The Community Service Program (PKM) entitled “Improving Human Resource Competence through Digital Skills Training for SMEs at Yayasan Tajaul Karomah, Situ Gadung Village, Tangerang Regency” aimed to address these challenges by enhancing digital competencies among educators, administrative staff, and community members. The program was conducted on October 4–5, 2025, at Yayasan Tajaul Karomah and involved three lecturers from Universitas Pamulang as facilitators and 26 participants, including teachers, administrative personnel, and local residents. The PKM activities employed a combination of material presentation, hands-on practice, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions to ensure interactive learning and skill development. Results of the program indicated significant improvement in participants’ understanding and ability to utilize digital platforms for business operations, including social media marketing, online transaction management, and digital record-keeping. Participants also demonstrated increased confidence, collaboration, and initiative in applying digital solutions to support SME development within their community. The program successfully fostered not only technical skills but also an entrepreneurial mindset aligned with digital transformation needs. These outcomes highlight the effectiveness of participatory and practice-oriented training in strengthening human resource capabilities for local economic empowerment.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has significantly influenced the development of human resources, particularly in educational institutions. Many schools and foundations face challenges in integrating technological tools effectively to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative processes. In this context, the Community Service Program (PKM) was implemented at Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Tajaul Karomatu, Desa Situ Gadung, Tangerang, aiming to optimize the use of technology to improve the quality of human resources, including both teachers and students. The primary objective of the PKM was to provide knowledge, practical skills, and guidance on utilizing technology for educational and personal development. The PKM was carried out on November 8, 2025, involving six lecturers from Universitas Pamulang as facilitators and 38 participants, consisting of students and teachers. The activities employed a combination of material presentations, practical exercises, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions, structured across three main stages: preparation, implementation, and reporting. During the preparation stage, facilitators conducted needs assessment, prepared training materials, and coordinated with school management. The implementation stage focused on hands-on practice with technological tools, enhancing digital literacy, and fostering problem-solving skills, while the reporting stage involved evaluating the participants’ understanding and the overall effectiveness of the program. The results of the PKM showed a significant improvement in participants’ ability to utilize technology for learning and teaching, enhanced engagement in classroom activities, and increased motivation among students and teachers to integrate digital tools in daily practice. This program demonstrates that technology-based interventions can effectively strengthen human resource quality in educational settings.

Abstract

Balancing study and work has become a significant challenge for vocational high school students, as managing academic responsibilities alongside part-time employment can lead to stress, fatigue, and reduced academic performance if not handled wisely. This community service program, titled “Managing Study and Work Time Wisely: Risks and Strategies for Studying While Working”, aimed to equip students with practical knowledge and strategies to manage their dual responsibilities effectively while raising awareness of potential risks associated with poor time management. The activity was conducted at SMK Perguruan Rakyat Jakarta on October 31, 2025, involving 16 facilitators, comprising students and lecturers from Universitas Pamulang, and 50 participating SMK students. The program was implemented in three stages: preparation, implementation, and reporting. In the preparation stage, facilitators developed materials on time management techniques, risk awareness, and prioritization strategies. During implementation, participants engaged in experience-sharing sessions, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer activities, fostering active participation and peer learning. The reporting stage summarized the outcomes, feedback, and reflections from both facilitators and students. The results indicated that students gained a better understanding of the risks of poor time management, improved awareness of strategies such as scheduling, prioritization, and self-reflection, and expressed motivation to apply these strategies in their daily academic and work routines. The program successfully enhanced students’ ability to balance study and work responsibly.

Abstract

This community service program (PKM) titled “Balancing Study and Work: A Practical Guide to Overcome Challenges and Achieve Dreams” was designed to provide practical strategies for managing both academic and work responsibilities effectively. The activity took place at SMK Perguruan Rakyat 1 Jakarta on October 31, 2025, involving 16 lecturers and students from Universitas Pamulang as facilitators, and 50 vocational high school students as participants. The PKM was implemented through several stages: preparation, implementation, and reporting. The implementation phase included material presentations, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions to actively engage participants. The results of the activity showed that students gained better understanding of time management, motivation building, and goal-setting strategies, which are essential for maintaining balance between study and work. Participants expressed increased awareness and confidence in planning their future academic and career paths. Overall, the program successfully enhanced students’ knowledge and readiness to face the dual role of worker and student in pursuing their aspirations.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the creative industry in Indonesia requires the development of human resources capable of producing innovative and economically valuable products. This community service activity (PKM) was conducted to strengthen the skills and knowledge of the local community in managing waste into creative products. The main objective of this PKM was to empower the members of the Cicalengka Village waste bank to enhance their creativity, entrepreneurial mindset, and economic independence through sustainable waste management practices. The activity took place on November 2, 2025, involving 8 lecturers from Universitas Pamulang as facilitators and 49 community participants. The implementation method included material presentation, hands-on practice, group discussion, and question-and-answer sessions. The program was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and reporting. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants’ understanding of creative product design, marketing strategies, and the economic potential of recycled materials. Participants also demonstrated improved skills in processing waste into marketable products, indicating a positive impact on local creative industry development.

Abstract

The community service program aimed to enhance the digital marketing capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs in Perumnas Monang Maning, West Denpasar. This initiative was motivated by the limited understanding and application of digital marketing strategies among local MSME actors, which hindered their competitiveness in the digital economy. The program sought to strengthen participants’ abilities to promote products and services through online platforms effectively. The activity was conducted on October 25–26, 2025, in Perumnas Monang Maning, involving ten lecturers from Universitas Pamulang as facilitators and twenty-four local residents as participants. The implementation methods included lectures, hands-on practice, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The PKM process consisted of three stages: preparation, implementation, and reporting. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and practical skills in digital marketing, particularly in creating social media content, managing online promotions, and developing simple digital catalogs. Furthermore, participants reported increased confidence in using digital tools to expand their business networks and customer reach. Overall, the program effectively contributed to empowering local MSMEs to adopt sustainable digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted to improve financial literacy and enhance the understanding of financial management among teachers and educational staff at Yayasan Tajaul Karomatu, Situ Gadung Village, Tangerang Regency. The background of this activity stems from the limited knowledge and skills in managing personal and institutional finances effectively, which often leads to inefficient financial practices. The purpose of the program was to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills related to budgeting, saving, and financial planning. The PKM was carried out by seven lecturers from Universitas Pamulang on October 25, 2025. A total of 18 participants, consisting of teachers and educational staff, attended the session. The implementation method included the stages of preparation, execution, and reporting. The activities involved the presentation of materials, practical exercises, group discussions, and a question-and-answer session to ensure active participation. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of financial concepts and their ability to apply them in daily financial management. Participants also expressed enthusiasm and commitment to applying the acquired knowledge in their work environment. Overall, the PKM successfully achieved its objectives in fostering financial literacy and promoting responsible financial behavior.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted to address the need for enhancing the economic capacity and self-reliance of residents in Perumnas Monang Maning, West Denpasar. The objective was to improve the skills and knowledge of local community members in managing economic activities to support sustainable economic independence. The activity took place on October 25–26, 2025, and was led by 10 lecturers from Universitas Pamulang, with 24 community members participating. The program was carried out through material presentations, practical exercises, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The implementation followed three stages: preparation, execution, and reporting. During the training, participants actively engaged in hands-on practice and interactive discussions, which enhanced their understanding of economic management, entrepreneurship, and human resource development. The results showed a noticeable improvement in participants’ skills and confidence in applying economic strategies to increase household income and develop community-based initiatives. The activity also strengthened collaboration between the university and the local community, providing a foundation for continued support and guidance. Overall, structured training combined with mentorship effectively empowered residents to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
