Abstract

Financial literacy has become an essential competency for young people in managing personal finances and making informed financial decisions. However, knowledge of capital market investment among junior high school students remains limited, resulting in low awareness of financial planning and investment opportunities. Therefore, community service activities were conducted to introduce basic investment concepts and improve students’ understanding of the capital market from an early age. This program aimed to enhance financial awareness and provide fundamental knowledge of capital market investment for junior high school students. The Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out at Aruna Surya Bestari Foundation, Pamulang, South Tangerang, on May 14, 2026. The activity was implemented by a team of five lecturers and students from Universitas Pamulang and involved 17 foster children studying at the junior high school level. The program was conducted through several stages, namely preparation, implementation, and reporting. During the implementation stage, participants received educational materials through lectures, practical exercises, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The results of the activity indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of basic investment concepts, capital market instruments, and the importance of financial planning. Participants showed high enthusiasm and active involvement throughout the program. The activity successfully increased students’ financial awareness and encouraged a positive attitude toward responsible financial management and future investment planning.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in strengthening the local economy; however, many women-led culinary MSMEs affiliated with the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) in Kelapa Indah Village, Tangerang City, still rely on conventional marketing and cash-based transactions. These limitations reduce market reach, operational efficiency, and business competitiveness. Therefore, this community service program aimed to enhance participants' knowledge and practical skills in digital marketing and cashless payment systems to support sustainable business development. The program was conducted on June 7, 2026, at the Kelapa Indah Village Hall, Tangerang City, involving 25 active culinary MSME owners from the PKK community. The implementation adopted a solution-oriented training approach through an interactive seminar, group discussions, case-based learning, and hands-on practice. The activities were carried out by a team consisting of one lecturer from the Master of Management Program, Universitas Pamulang, and four undergraduate student assistants. Training materials covered Business Model Canvas (BMC), product photography, persuasive copywriting, social media marketing, and the implementation of QRIS and electronic wallet payment systems. The results indicated a qualitative improvement in participants' understanding and practical competencies in digital promotion and digital financial management. Participants demonstrated high engagement throughout the program, reflected in active discussions and increased confidence in applying digital marketing strategies and cashless payment technologies. These findings suggest that integrating digital marketing literacy with digital financial practices can strengthen technology adoption and improve the long-term competitiveness of community-based culinary MSMEs.

Abstract

Kolaka Regency has considerable potential in developing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on local livestock products, particularly salted eggs. However, the utilization of chicken eggs as an alternative raw material and the application of different salting methods have not been widely introduced to the community. This community service activity aimed to introduce the production of organic salted eggs using two methods, namely the brining method and the mud-coating method, by utilizing both duck eggs and commercial chicken eggs. The activity was carried out through preparation of tools and materials, production practice, observation of product quality, packaging, and product introduction as a local MSME innovation. The instruments used included observation sheets and documentation during the implementation process. Data were analyzed descriptively by comparing the implementation process and the resulting products from both methods. The results showed that both methods successfully produced organic salted eggs with good quality, distinctive taste, and attractive appearance. The brining method was easier to apply and produced a more uniform salt distribution, while the mud-coating method provided a more traditional processing technique with satisfactory product quality. This innovation demonstrates that both duck eggs and commercial chicken eggs can be processed into value-added products that have the potential to support local entrepreneurship and improve community income in Kolaka Regency.

Abstract

East Sepatan District has significant potential for MSMEs as economic drivers, but they are vulnerable to occupational risks due to a lack of social safety nets. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve literacy regarding the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Non-Wage Recipients (BPU) among MSMEs in the region. Observations revealed that 90% of business owners had not yet participated in the Old Age Security (JHT) program, and 30% had inactive membership due to delinquent contributions. The methods used were interactive outreach and direct counseling regarding early protection and retirement financial planning. The results of the activity demonstrated an increase in partners' understanding of the importance of active participation via the JMO application, accident insurance benefits, and JHT savings management. Through this program, MSMEs in East Sepatan can operate their businesses with a sense of security.

Abstract

Inappropriate use of dexamethasone without adequate knowledge or health-professional supervision poses significant risks to the community, particularly through its informal circulation as a "miracle drug" (obat dewa) and illegal addition as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (BKO) in herbal products. A community education activity was conducted at Klinik Armina Sakti, Bengkulu City, to improve participants' understanding of dexamethasone, including its therapeutic indications, adverse effects, drug interactions, BKO contamination risks in traditional medicine, product legality verification through BPOM, and the importance of medically supervised dose tapering. The intervention employed an educational presentation followed by discussion, with knowledge assessed using a seven-item multiple-choice pre-test and post-test. Simulated data from 30 participants demonstrated a mean knowledge score increase from 34.76 before education to 80.95 after education, representing an average gain of 46.19 points. The mean normalized gain (N-Gain) was 0.692, categorized as moderate according to Hake's criterion. Before education, 27 participants were in the low knowledge category and three in the adequate category; after education, 15 participants achieved adequate knowledge and 15 achieved good knowledge, with all participants showing improvement. These simulated findings illustrate the intended structure and analysis of the article; however, they must be replaced with authentic questionnaire data, or the limitation explicitly disclosed, before manuscript submission for publication.
