Abstract

Problems in the business world are very complex and difficult to predict. In the last 3 years, global scale problems have emerged, starting from the pandemic, the wars between Russia and Ukraine, and the energy crisis in the western region. It is not imaginable that many companies have gone out of business, because they were unable to face the global economic storm. Not to mention the unstable domestic conditions, starting from high political temperature, the level of unfair business competition, and declining people's purchasing power are a number of problems that need to be addressed. Therefore, the presence of an online market, which is called a marketplace, is one solution to this condition. However, to be able to enter the online market, knowledge is needed, namely digital marketing. This service activity is carried out as one of the efforts of the campus community to be able to contribute to problems in society, namely by providing training on marketplaces and digital marketing. This activity was carried out at furniture SMEs in the Cirebon area with a total of 30 participants. The activity method is carried out by means of training in creating online stores in marketplaces and creating digital advertisements, both on social media and marketplaces. This activity was quite well received and the participants participated enthusiastically. The participants gained knowledge about marketing their furniture products throughout Indonesia by creating an online shop. Then the participants gained knowledge about making advertisements and advertising on social media, both paid and free. With this training, it is expected to increase sales and income, thereby increasing the welfare of the furniture business community in the Cirebon area.

Abstract

Beautiful nature is a bonus for an area, but it is more valuable or has added value if local people can maximize their potential. Therefore, improving the quality of human resources in the form of skills in producing natural products as souvenirs is a necessity. These skills are relevant to the regional theme, namely as a tourist destination. This service activity is carried out, aiming to share knowledge and provide training on processing agricultural products in tourist cities, so that they become regional specialties, and become a source of income. The activity method is training on making wedang in the Puncak Bogor area. The results of this activity, especially in the form of increased knowledge and skills in making wedang. Then increase public understanding about marketing products effectively, namely utilizing social media as information dissemination and image formation, so that production results are widely known by Indonesian people, especially visiting tourists.

Abstract

Welding training is a learning activity about the science and practice of welding, so that the trainees know the correct welding methods and can practice them. It is hoped that this training activity can become one of the competency provisions for the training participants, in this case the youth of the Pondok Benda sub-district, South Tangerang. In order for this activity to run smoothly, a scientific method was established, namely a theoretical explanation of welding and practice. The participants in this activity were teenagers who were members of the Pondok Benda sub-district, South Tangerang youth organization, which totaled 45 people. The activity was carried out at the community hall RW 014 Pondok Benda, South Tangerang, on Saturday, July 30 2022. This activity went smoothly and the participants were very enthusiastic. It was evident that many questions were asked, the participants' responses were very enthusiastic, and the participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the welding practice. This activity was welcomed positively, because according to one of the training participants, this activity can form welding skills that are useful for the world of work.

Abstract

Having expertise is the main capital to be accepted for work, almost all companies set technical competency standards as one of the main indicators of work. Therefore, by participating in AC/air conditioning repair training, it can be a provision to be accepted to work in a company. Based on this explanation, this activity is aimed at teenagers in the village of Cipanas Lebak, Banten. This activity is intended to be a provision of skills, so that the trainees can compete in the world of work. The method of implementing the activity is the presentation of material and practice. The number of training participants was 50 people, consisting of young women and men. This activity was carried out for one full day, namely on June 25 2022 which is located on Jalan Raya Cipanas Lebak Banten, at the Cipanas Village Hall to be precise. The result of this activity was in the form of holding air conditioning/AC repair training activities which were attended by 50 Cipanas village youths. In addition, they get an understanding of the importance of having certain skills, in order to be accepted for work or to compete with other prospective workers. Furthermore, this activity can increase the participants' knowledge and technical expertise regarding AC repair procedures.

Abstract

Uncertainty in economic conditions can be caused by many factors, one of which is the Covid-19 pandemic. Many companies have gone out of business, because they were unable to overcome the negative impact. This becomes a lesson for business actors, especially in Indonesia, about the uncertainty of economic conditions. Based on this, this training activity is an effort from the academic side of Pakuan University to provide vocational school graduates with knowledge about running a business. Thus, they get referrals as provision/preparation for running a business in the future. The object of the service activity was carried out in the city of Bogor, which was attended by 150 participants from vocational school graduates in the city of Bogor. The method of this activity is presentation and discussion, namely explaining economic conditions, the impact of economic uncertainty and solutions to overcome problems. As a result of this activity, the participants received information on how to deal with economic uncertainty through the concept of business digitization. This activity explained the opportunities and benefits of using digital media as a solution to maintaining a business existence in the midst of economic uncertainty due to the pandemic and globalization.

Abstract

One of the keys to business success is creativity and innovation, but both can only be achieved through continuous learning. As in the village of Cilebud Bogor, the abundance of guava fruit plantations, not many farmers have developed it into value-added products. Generally, the harvest, directly sold in the form of fruit only. This requires a role from many parties, one of which is the academic community, to provide provision of knowledge about the processing of high economic value plantation products. To answer this goal, community service activities were carried out by students and lecturers at Pasundan University in the village of Cilebud, Bogor. This service activity is in the form of training in making juice and dodol from guava fruit, as a strategy to increase farmers' income. The number of participants who took part in this activity were 32 people, consisting of farmers, sellers and people around the village of Cilebud. The results of the activity showed that the community was enthusiastic about the practice of making juice and lunkhead from processed guava. Apart from that, they also taught how to pack and digitally market, so that processed products can be widely known by Indonesian people, especially tourists who visit the city of Bogor.

Abstract

Building a business is not as easy as turning your palm, especially for beginners. As a new person, of course you don't have a lot of knowledge, experience and expertise in running a business properly. Then the right step is to start a small-scale business. This is done as a learning medium, in order to provide a real picture of the business world. So that a business spirit is born which in the future can become a provision to build a better business. This activity was carried out to provide knowledge and reference for youth in the village of Caruban, Kebumen. The method of activity is explanation of the material, giving examples and simulations. The number of participants who took part in this activity were young children in the village of Caruban, Kebumen, with 47 people. The result of the activity was an increase in the knowledge of the participants about entrepreneurship, especially for beginners. So that the participants have references in building a business according to their capacity, for example by running a motorbike washing business. This training also provides skills provision as one of the assets in living life in the future.

Abstract

Garbage is one of the old problems that has not been resolved, the poor awareness of the Indonesian people is one of the causes. However, along with the magnitude of the negative impact of waste on human life, it requires the attention and efforts of all parties. In this regard, as an educated society, it has contributed to the problem. Therefore, this service activity is carried out, in the form of counseling and waste processing practices. This is done in order to raise public awareness of the waste problem, which must be solved together. This activity was carried out in the waste processing community in the city of South Tangerang which is part of the Ganespa organization. There were 20 participants in the activity, and it was carried out on Saturday, May 21, 2022. This activity was packaged in the form of socialization, discussion, question and answer, and practice of sorting waste based on groups and their benefits. As a result of this activity, it turns out that waste with economic value is more responsive than other types of waste. Waste with economic value is generally in the form of plastic, paper, and iron. However, the participants were also enthusiastic about processing organic waste which can be processed into fertilizer or compost for plants. Even organic waste from vegetable and fruit waste can be used as livestock feed, such as maggot food, catfish, and so on.

Abstract

Orphanages have an important role in providing protection and education for children in need. However, they often face challenges in preparing children for the real world after they leave the orphanage. Accounting and entrepreneurship skills are important aspects in equipping children with the ability to manage finances and develop their business potential. This service aims to help orphanage children develop basic accounting skills and a basic understanding of entrepreneurship. We strive to provide them with a foundation of knowledge that will assist them in managing their personal finances and open up opportunities to grow their business in the future. This service activity is carried out through a series of interactive workshops which include a basic understanding of accounting, recording simple transactions, making simple financial reports, and introducing basic concepts of entrepreneurship. Workshops are held periodically over a period of time to ensure deep understanding and practical application by children. The results of this community service activity show an increase in the understanding of orphanage children about the basic principles of accounting and the concept of entrepreneurship. They can understand the importance of accurate financial records and the opportunities to develop small businesses in their surroundings. The participants showed great enthusiasm in following the workshop and actively participated in the discussions and practical exercises. This service activity succeeded in building basic accounting skills and knowledge of entrepreneurship in orphanage children. With this knowledge base, they have the potential to manage their finances more wisely and develop small businesses that can have a positive impact on their future. Thus, this approach has the potential to make a positive contribution in equipping orphanage children with relevant and useful skills.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the pare chips sector have great potential to support the local economy. However, challenges in the rapidly developing digital era require understanding and adaptation of appropriate business strategies. Therefore, this service activity aims to provide business training to SME owners of bitter melon chips in order to optimize their business competitiveness in the digital era. The main purpose of this community service activity is to increase the understanding and skills of UKM owners of bitter melon chips in dealing with the digital era. We strive to provide participants with a better understanding of leveraging digital platforms, online marketing strategies, technology-based business management, and using digital tools to increase productivity. The implementation of this activity involves several methods including presentation of entrepreneurial material, question and answer, practice and guidance. The results of this activity include increasing the understanding and skills of SME chips pare owners in implementing business strategies in the digital era. They are able to leverage social media, increase online visibility, manage inventory more efficiently, and increase their business productivity. In addition, the collaboration between the UKM owners of bitter melon chips that was established during this activity allows for the exchange of experiences and learning between people. Some of the participants even reported a significant increase in their sales after taking this training.
