Abstract

Improving entrepreneurial skills among the younger generation is key in driving the local economy and promoting economic sustainability. Santri, as an important part of the potential community, often need special guidance to develop their entrepreneurial potential. In this context, this study aims to organize entrepreneurship training that focuses on making patterned fabrics with high economic value for students. The main objective of this activity is to increase students' understanding and entrepreneurial skills in the context of producing high-quality patterned fabrics. We also aim to motivate participants to explore and exploit local potential in creating sustainable economic value. This training is implemented through a series of workshops, hands-on practice in making patterned fabrics, group discussions, and individual assistance. The students receive comprehensive training on entrepreneurial aspects, such as business planning, production management, fabric design, and marketing strategies. They are also encouraged to explore cultural and artistic elements in fabric design, as well as the importance of building a strong brand. Collaboration between participants is promoted to enrich their experience and skills. The result of this activity is an increase in understanding and entrepreneurial skills of the students in making patterned cloth. They have succeeded in creating patterned fabrics with unique designs that reflect local culture, and this has received a positive response from the local community. Apart from that, some of the santri have also started their own small businesses to market the patterned cloth products they produced during the training.

Abstract

The growing digital era has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the economy. Digital understanding and proficiency is key to helping society deal with this change. Therefore, we held a community service program entitled "Digital Literacy Campaign to Improve the Community's Economy" to provide training and support to the community in increasing their understanding and application of digital technology in their businesses. The main objective of this activity is to increase people's ability to use digital tools to increase their economic potential. We aim to provide practical training on using digital technology, increase their access to digital resources, and help them grow their business online. This activity is carried out through a series of workshops, training, and consultation sessions involving participants from various backgrounds. Teaching methods focus on understanding the basics of digital technology, practical application in business, and using the internet for marketing and sales. We also provide access to digital resources and ongoing support. This activity succeeded in providing significant benefits to the community. Participants experience increased skills in managing their business digitally, from website creation to online marketing. Several participants reported a significant increase in their sales and income after applying the knowledge they had acquired. In addition, this activity also strengthens connections between members of the community and promotes collaboration in dealing with digital economy challenges.

Abstract

The environment is home to all forms of life, especially humans, and protecting it is an absolute obligation. Environmental quality greatly affects human life. Even though there are many ways to protect the environment, careless waste handling is still a troubling problem. Piles of garbage on the streets and especially plastic waste, which is difficult to decompose, are increasingly widespread and have an increasingly serious impact. To respond to this, we as academic members feel the need to contribute in the form of Student Community Service, which we do at the Al Kamilah Foundation, Jl. Raya No. 3, Serua, Bojongsari District, Depok City, West Java. Our main goal is to increase awareness of the dangers of plastic waste and teach them how to process it into valuable and economically valuable goods. We apply the 3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) training method with a focus on making piggy banks from plastic bottles. The results of this activity indicated the enthusiasm of the participants in learning and being creative with plastic waste. The resulting creations are not only useful as a place to store pocket money, but also have the potential to be used as business products. Through this activity, we hope to be able to provide valuable learning to the participants and open the door for ongoing training to improve their ability to manage plastic waste in an innovative and sustainable way.

Abstract

The development of local products, such as soap made in residential communities, has great potential to improve the economy and creativity at the community level. However, one of the challenges often faced is unattractive and uneconomical packaging. Therefore, this service activity aims to provide training to residential communities in choosing attractive and economical packaging for their soap products. The main objectives of this service activity are; 1) Increasing housing society's understanding of the importance of attractive and economical packaging in marketing soap products. 2) Provide practical guidance in choosing the type of packaging that suits their soap products. And 3) Encouraging residential communities to develop creativity in designing their own product packaging. This service activity will be carried out through a series of interactive training and workshops involving the housing community. The methods used include counseling sessions on the importance of product packaging, demonstrations on the selection of materials and economical packaging designs, packaging design workshops to encourage creativity and group discussions to share experiences and ideas. The results of the Community Service Activity show that participants have a better understanding of the importance of attractive and economical packaging. Then participants can choose the appropriate type of packaging for their soap products, resulting in an increase in the design of soap product packaging, which will help increase product attractiveness and sales.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is an important factor in economic development. The younger generation, especially students, have great potential to become entrepreneurs. However, they often do not have sufficient knowledge and skills to start a business. Therefore, efforts need to be made to build a generation of entrepreneurs through entrepreneurship training. The aim of this community service activity is to increase entrepreneurial knowledge and skills for students at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar Kebumen. This community service activity is carried out using lecture, discussion and practical methods. This community service activity has succeeded in increasing students' entrepreneurial knowledge and skills. Training participants admitted that they were more motivated to start a business after attending this training.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that have an important role in developing the potential of teenagers. One effort to optimize the potential of teenagers in Islamic boarding schools is through youth organization management training. This training aims to equip teenagers with the skills and knowledge needed to manage youth organizations effectively and efficiently. This community service activity was carried out at the Nurul Hidayah Lebak Banten Islamic Boarding School. This activity was attended by 33 students who are administrators of organizations in the Islamic boarding school environment. This activity lasted for 2 days, namely on 29 and 30 September 2023. The training participants were very enthusiastic about taking part in this activity. They feel that they have benefited a lot from this training, especially in terms of increasing skills and knowledge in managing organizations in the Islamic boarding school environment.

Abstract

Digital marketing has become an important element in a company's marketing strategy in the current digital era. This also applies to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). One of the popular digital marketing platforms in Indonesia is the marketplace. Marketplaces offer various benefits for SMEs, such as ease of managing online stores, access to a wide market, and relatively affordable costs. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of SMEs in opening and managing online stores on the Indonesian marketplace platform. This activity is carried out using training and mentoring methods. This community service activity was carried out in Tangerang City, Banten for Batu Ceper Clothing SMEs. The results of the activity show that participants have acquired adequate knowledge and skills in opening and managing an online shop on the Indonesian marketplace platform.

Abstract

The aim of this community service is to increase learning motivation, insight into thinking and the obligation to study at the tertiary level for students and students at Cepu Islamic Middle School, Central Java. The method of community service is seminars and discussions. The population in this community service activity is 100 people, all of whom are students of Cepu Islamic Middle School, Central Java. The result of this community service is that all participants understand and apply all the material and discussions that occur during the event so that the goals of this service are achieved.

Abstract

In the era of digitalization, developing village officials requires human resources who can adapt to technology. This is closely related to the demand generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, where all activities are conducted online and physical gatherings are prohibited. This is necessary to ensure that village officials' skills continuously improve and they become proficient in operating electronic devices, particularly computers. The training is intended to equip all village officials in Kerik sub-district Takeran Magetan district with the skills to manage village data administration using statistical data and create infographics, based on the service requirements. The primary goals of this training are managing village archive data, financial management, and population statistics. This training delivers both theoretical and practical components. Hence, the Mathematics Education Study Program at PGRI Madiun University organised a training session at Kerik Village Office, Takeran District. This session aimed to train Village Officials in processing village data administration using Google Spreadsheet with a focus on Love Statistics (CANTIK concept). This training session utilises Google Spreadsheet to teach basic operational skills with the help of descriptive statistics. The training covers five parts that include an introductory session on Google Spreadsheet, Ribbon parts and functions, data management, data analysis, and data printing. The training session was carried out smoothly, and its success was measured by the enthusiasm of the participants during the training, as well as the post-activity evaluation and monitoring. The participants are now competent in managing the village office data properly as they work.

Abstract

Cookies are a dry snack that has several flavors to choose from, from savory to sweet. This snack is usually served at big holiday celebrations such as Eid al-Fitr, Christmas, Chinese New Year and New Year. Indonesia, with a majority Muslim population, makes the pastry business a business that has good prospects. Community service partners, in this case students from the Development Economics study program, saw this prospect and started starting a dry cake business. The dry cake business he started started with the production of pineapple cakes and was offered through word of mouth. The market segment targeted is the lower middle segment. With the scope of marketing being limited to college friends and neighbors in the village where the partners live. The community service team saw that the partner's dry cake business startup had prospects for further development. The first thing the service team did was discuss with partners to identify problems found in their start-up business. From the problems identified, solutions are then planned. The results of the service activities include producing a logo design for the packaging label that is more attractive than previously not having a packaging label, the packaging used is more attractive, marketing has been expanded by utilizing social media Instagram, and product quality is better by using quality ingredients and delicious taste. more delicious.
