Abstract

Despite various intervention programs to address stunting in East Flores Regency, the stunting prevalence rate has not yet reached the target of 10% by 2023. One of the challenges is the lack of community and private sector involvement in handling stunting. In fact, stunting intervention is not only the responsibility of the government, but also requires cross-sector collaboration to work together in optimizing the program. This research discusses collaborative governance as an innovative strategy in overcoming stunting in East Flores Regency. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Five health workers and two community development cadres became research informants who were selected purposively. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles B. Huberman. Data validity was strengthened through triangulation. The results showed that the application of collaborative governance with the penta helix model, namely government, entrepreneurs, academics, civil society, and mass media, is an innovative solution that can be applied in overcoming stunting. The five main stakeholders in the penta helix collaborative governance model can work together synergistically to achieve optimal results in overcoming stunting problems.

Abstract

An efficient capital market is a concept in which stock prices reflect all available public information. However, the level of market efficiency varies in different countries, including Indonesia. This study aims to test semi-strong market efficiency on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) by analyzing the effect of financial and macroeconomic variables on stock prices. The study population includes all companies listed on the IDX in the 2018-2022 period. The sample was selected using purposive sampling method based on certain criteria namely issuers belonging to the primary and non-primary consumer goods sector, with a total of 174 issuers. Independent variables in this study include CR, DER, ROE, PER, Firm Size, DPR, CSR, inflation, exchange rate, and BI Rate. The dependent variable is stock price. The factor analysis method was used to reduce the independent variables into three factors: financial efficiency, corporate dimensions, and corporate external factors. Multiple regression analysis was then applied to test the effect of these three factors on stock prices. The results showed that financial efficiency factors and external factors did not have a significant influence on stock prices. However, the firm dimension factor is proven to have a significant influence on stock prices.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of various types of microfinance on the income of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Utilizing data from the 2022 Micro and Small Industry Survey conducted by Statistics Indonesia, the research employs multiple linear regression analysis to assess the effects of cooperative loans, non-bank financial institutions, and People's Business Credit (KUR) on MSME income across different industry sectors. The results reveal that KUR significantly enhances income across various sectors, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving financial performance. In contrast, the impact of cooperative loans and non-bank financial institutions varies by sector, with cooperative loans showing significant effects only in the tobacco processing industry and non-bank financial institutions impacting primarily the textile sector. These findings highlight the importance of selecting appropriate microfinance options tailored to sector-specific needs. The study underscores that strategic microfinance choices can significantly boost MSME competitiveness and operational efficiency in Indonesia.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to investigate the impact of Maqashid Shariah, as represented by accountability, which is the act of being truthful and accountable. Accountability can be related to both of Maqashid Shariah's goals: the first, to protect religion, or Hifdz Ad-Din, and the second, to preserve life, or Hifdz An-Nafs. This study explores the impact of mosque congregants' confidence and engagement in relation to mosque accountability. The impact of the mosque accountability variable on the trust and engagement of congregants is analyzed and tested through a quantitative manner in this study. The population's features are described using a combination of path analysis and descriptive analysis, two types of quantitative analysis. Using Path analysis and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach, the hyphotesis is tested. Congregants of five significant mosques located in the East Java districts of Lumajang, Jember, Situbondo, Bondowoso, and Banyuwangi make up the research population. This study used five large mosques with 125 members each as its unit of analysis. The quota sampling method is employed in the sampling procedure. The analysis's findings indicate that while participation has a considerable impact on members' involvement, accountability has no discernible effect on members' confidence.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is the third-largest contributor to Central Java’s GRDP and continues to grow annually. Despite this, labor absorption in agriculture remains low, and the declining farmer’s exchange rate indicates worsening farmer welfare. This study aims to analyze the economic base, growth potential, and sectoral mapping of agriculture in Central Java. The research employs several analytical tools including Location Quotient (LQ), Growth Ratio Model (GRM), Overlay Analysis, and the BCG Matrix. Results show that sub-sectors such as food crops, horticulture, livestock, and agricultural and hunting services are the economic base of the region, maintaining their relevance both before 2019 and after 2022 the COVID-19 pandemic. Among them, horticulture demonstrates strong growth potential, while food crops, livestock, and agricultural services also show opportunities for development. The BCG Matrix further highlights horticultural crops and agricultural services as the primary drivers of growth. These findings suggest that targeted government support and policy prioritization toward these key sub-sectors are essential for sustaining agricultural advancement and improving farmer welfare in the region.

Abstract

People’s well-being is a core goal of national development and can be assessed through the happiness index, which reflects overall quality of life. In the face of increasingly complex development challenges across ASEAN, identifying the determinants of happiness is crucial for shaping effective, targeted policies. This study analyzes the impact of various socio-economic and environmental factors—namely Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita, labor force, government budgets for education and health, Consumer Price Index (CPI), Corruption Perception Index (CPI), and greenhouse gas emissions per capita—on the happiness index of eight ASEAN countries during 2015–2021. Using panel data analysis, the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) was identified as the best-fit model. The findings reveal that GDP per capita and Corruption Perception Index have a significant negative effect on the happiness index, while education spending and CPI exert a positive influence. Meanwhile, labor force, health budget, and greenhouse gas emissions show no significant impact. Among the observed countries, Singapore ranks highest in happiness, while Cambodia ranks lowest. These results suggest that beyond traditional economic indicators, governance quality—reflected in effective budget allocation and efforts to manage inflation and corruption—plays a vital role in fostering happiness in the ASEAN region.
