Abstract

Introduction – Dengue fever is a disease that often occurs in tropical countries, including Indonesia. DHF is caused by the dengue virus from the Flaviviridae family and infects through the Aedes aegypti or Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. DHF transmission is related to the survival capacity, behavior, and habitat of mosquito as vectors, therefore it may be influenced by climatic factors such as the number of rainy days and the sunshine duration. Purpose – The aim of the study was to determine whether the number of rainy days and the sunshine duration were correlated with the incidence of dengue fever in the city of Yogyakarta. Methodology/Approach – This study uses a retrospective analytic observational method. This study was conducted by analyzing the relationship between monthly data on the number of rainy days and duration of sunshine with cases of dengue fever in the city of Yogyakarta in 2015-2019. Climatic data were obtained from the recording of the Yogyakarta Mlati Climatology Station and data on dengue cases were obtained from the records of the Yogyakarta City Health Office. The data was then analyzed by the Spearman correlation test to find the correlation between the two variables. DHF with an accumulation of 3705 cases during 2015-2019. The city has a tropical climate with an average of 8.96 rainy days and 66% of sunshine duration per month. In the Spearman correlation test, it is found that there was no relationship between DHF cases and the number of rainy days, which had a non-significant positive correlation (p = 0.056 ; r = 0.249) and there was no relationship between DHF cases and sunshine duration had a negative and insignificant correlation (p = 0.316; r = - 0.132). There is no significant relationship between the number of rainy days and the sunshine duration with the incidence of DHF in the city of Yogyakarta. There is a difference in the direction of the correlation between the two variables, namely the number of rainy days is positively correlated while the sunshine duration is negatively correlated with the incidence of DHF in Yogyakarta City. Originality/ Value/ Implication – This study proves that the factor of the number of rainy days shows a positive correlation with the number of cases of DHF, while the factor of the sunshine duration shows a negative correlation in the city of Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Introduction - Colon cancer is a disease that has a high mortality rate. Cancer treatments such as chemotherapy can cause severe side effects. So, it is necessary to do research on herbal plants to minimize these side effects. The bioactive compounds in Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera L.) are known to have antioxidant and anticancer activity, so they have the potential to be used as cancer treatment. Purpose – . This study aims to determine the potential of Moringa leaves as an anticancer agent in silico. Methodology/Approach – The in silico test used is STITCH-STRING bioinformatics and molecular docking. STITCH-STRING bioinformatics was used to determine the target protein of the test compound, and molecular docking was used to determine the binding affinity between the test compound and cancer protein. Findings – In the STITCH-STRING bioinformatics test, the potential targets for kaempferol and quercetin were TP53-ESR1 and STAT3-EGFR, respectively.test Molecular docking on cancer protein showed that quercetin compound in EGFR protein had the best binding with a docking score of -9.2 kcal/mol. This shows good results because the docking score obtained is lower than the comparison drug (Fluorouracil) which has a docking score of -4.2 kcal/mol. These results indicate that compounds in Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera L.) have the potential to be used as anticancer agents. Originality/ Value/ Implication – Moringa leaf research using bioinformatics and molecular docking methods is still rarely done, so this research can be used as further knowledge related to the search for moringa leaf compounds that have the potential for anticancer using bioinformatics and molecular docking methods

Abstract

Introduction – Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is a respiratory infection where the cause is a virus or bacteria that lasts for 14 days. One of the efforts to prevent ARI in infants is to provide exclusive breastfeeding, because breast milk contains elements of specific and non-specific immunity that can protect newborns from respiratory infections. Purpose – The aim of the study was to determine the effect of exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) in infants aged 7-24 months in the Community Health Center Ujung Pangkah Gresik. Methodology/Approach – The research design used was observational analytic with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all infants aged 7-24 months. The number of sample 60 babies taken with the sampling technique using purposive sampling method. The study used a questionnaire with a closed ended item type of questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi Square. Findings – The results showed that 33 respondents (55 percent) had ARI and 27 respondents (45 percent) did not. Respondents who did not give exclusive breastfeeding were 28 respondents (46.7 percent), giving exclusive breastfeeding were 32 respondents (53,3 percent). This shows that the proportion of children under five who are not exclusively breastfed and has ARI is higher than the proportion of infants who are exclusively breastfed and have ARI. The results of statistical calculations obtained p-value = 0.000 (p-value <0,05), so there is a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of ARI in toddlers at the Ujung Pangkah Health Center. Originality/ Value/ Implication – This research is the result of my own work and has never been published at all.

Abstract

Pilkada is a process of implementing democracy that is followed by all circles of society, including generation Z. Social Media is very closely related to Generation Z. Generation Z tends to master technology and the internet since childhood. In the implementation of the 2020 Pilkada. Therefore, it is necessary to study the influence of social media as a source of political knowledge on political literacy in the 2020 Election of Blora Regency in the era of the covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine how influential social media is as a source of political knowledge in political literacy generation Z. This study was designed using mixed methods with a sequential explanatory strategy with data collection and quantitative data analysis in the first stage, followed by qualitative data collection and analysis. The sample in this study is Generation Z aged 17-24 years in Blora Regency, who have used their voting rights in the 2020 Pilkada. This study indicates that generation Z's political knowledge, knowledge of government, and knowledge of the environment and society are considered sufficient for political literacy. Because it is in the 2,3-3.6 interval, knowledge related to the political game rules is considered suitable for political literacy because it is at the highest interval of 3.6-4.9. From the output, the R square of political knowledge has a value of 0.641, which means that 64.1% of generation Z's political knowledge affects political literacy. Social media as a source of political knowledge affects the level of political literacy of generation Z. Other factors that can influence the political knowledge of generation Z are age, education, sources of information, experience, and occupation. However, social media as a source of political knowledge has not been appropriately utilized by the organizers and the candidate pair in providing information to voters.
