Jurnal Cahaya Pendidikan (JCP) adalah media publikasi ilmiah di bidang ilmu pendidikan dan manajemen pendidikan secara umum. JCP bertujuan untuk mempublikasikan hasil-hasil penelitian terkini atau inovasi baru di bidang pendidikan, dan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan ilmu pendidikan. Mulai Volume 8 tahun 2019 Jurnal Cahaya Pendidikan fokus mempublikasi artikel dari hasil penelitian atau review paper yang belum pernah diterbitkan di media publikasi manapun. Setiap manuskrip yang dikirim melalui proses online akan direview oleh mitra bebestari. JCP terbit 2 nomor dalam setahun, yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember Fokus kajian jurnal Cahaya Pendidikan meliputi bidang Bahasa Inggris, Matematika, Biologi, Sejarah, dan Bimbingan Konseling. Namun, juga terbuka untuk bidang-bidang serumpun yang bersesuaian. Topik yang dicover meliputi teknologi pembelajaran, media pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran, dan manajemen pendidikan,

A This study analyzed of psycho-analysis, particularly the Oedipus complex problem faced by the main character named Michael Berg in the film The Reader based on The characteristics of Oedipus Complex theory. This study employed a descriptive qualitative .The data obtained from the transcript of subtitle of the movie “ The Reader “ movie as primary data. In addition, secondary data was from paper, books, article. The data collection in this study was completely done through watching, giving marks and categorizing the data before do the analysis from the dialogue, situation who delivered in the movie which becomes the main data in this study. The result of the analysis this study show that the main character in “ The Reader” movie has the Oedipus complex’s characteristics. Based on the analysis in this study why main character loved older woman duet his closed relationship his mother which cuased gap with his father. Te old woman was a reflection of his mother.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas XII SMKN 5 Batam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen design dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas XII SMKN 5 Batam. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas XII Multimedia 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XII Multimedia 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes yang telah di uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-t satu sampel untuk hipotesis 1 dan 2 serta uji-t 2 sampel independen untuk hipotesis 3 dengan taraf keyakinan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat pengaruh model permbelajaran think-pair-share terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematissiswa; (2) Tidak terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran konvensional terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa; (3) Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share dan model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apakah Melalui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn Siswa Kelas VI SDN Gendongan 02 Salatiga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan 2 siklus penelitian. Tehnik pengambilan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tehnik tes tertulis dan tehnik non tes. Tehnik tes tertulis pada setiap siklus diadakan dengan memberikan soal tertulis, sedang tehnik non tes yang dimaksud adalah pengamatan yang dilakukan saat pembelajaran. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan dicatat dalam lembar pengamatan. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif komparatif yang dilanjutkan dengan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan dengan telah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar. bila dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar pada kondisi awal dengan siklus-1 mengalami kenaikan sebesar 9,88 %, sedangkan hasil belajar pada siklus-1 bila dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siklus-2 ada peningkatan sebesar 10%. Berdasarkan refleksi pada pembahasan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa melalui diterapkannya model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn tentang proses perumusan Pancasila sebagai dasar negara pada siswa kelas VI SDN Gendongan 02. Hasil belajar dari kondisi awal ke kondisi akhir terdapat peningkatan, dari rata-rata 60,12 menjadi rata-rata 80.

Teacher-centered learning less than optimal impact on the lack of student motivation. In addition, students are also difficult to understand the learning material of teaching materials that have been provided so that students become less enthusiastic in receiving lessons. This study aims to reveal the students 'motivation on IPS Terpadu subjects through CollaborativeLearning strategy and to know the of the differences in students' motivation Experimental Class and ControlClass in junior IT UlilAlbab Batam. This research is a quantitative research with Quasi-Experimental Design approach. The subjects were students of class VIIa as a Class Experiment, totaling 32 students and Class VIIb as a Class control totaling 32 students. The sampling is using random sampel.Data obtained from the test results questionnaire were analyzed using the average difference test (T-Test). The results of this study indicate that there are significant differences on the students motivation in the Experimental Class Kata kunci: Strategi Collaborative Learning, students motivation, social sciences. Berpusat pada guru belajar kurang dari dampak yang optimal pada kurangnya motivasi siswa. Selain itu, siswa juga sulit untuk memahami materi pembelajaran bahan ajar yang telah disediakan sehingga siswa menjadi kurang antusias dalam menerima pelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan motivasi pada mata pelajaran IPS Terpadu melalui strategi CollaborativeLearning dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan di siswa siswa motivasi Kelas Eksperimental dan ControlClass di SMP IT UlilAlbab Batam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Desain Quasi-Eksperimental. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA sebagai Eksperimen Kelas, berjumlah 32 siswa dan kelas VIIB sebagai kontrol Kelas berjumlah 32 siswa. sampling menggunakan sampel.Data acak yang diperoleh dari hasil uji kuesioner yang dianalisis menggunakan uji perbedaan rata-rata (T-Test). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada motivasi siswa di Kelas Eksperimental dan Kontrol.Kata kunci: Strategi Collaborative Learning, Motivasi Belajar, IPS Terpadu.

This study was aimed at identifying the role of Project Based Learning implementation that were there any significant or no toward the secondary students’ writing skills at tenth grade of SMA Negeri 21 Batam. The design of this research was running by experimental research which consist of control class and experiment class. To meet the purposes of the research, 50 students from Tenth Grade of first Science class and second Science class were selected to be the participants of this research. Both of the classes first science class and second science class were given different treatment. The first science class was taught by Project Based Learning and the second science class was taught by conventional method. The data were collected through running written test which consist of pre-test and post-test (in which the participants wrote the simple descriptive text). The analysis of the data obtained from the scoring of students’ written test. The data analysis indicated that the Project Based Learning was given significant effect on enhancing the students’ writing skills. It was also found that students’ score in experimental class achieved affected result with the highest score was 92, meanwhile the lowest score was 67. The t-count was higher than t-table (Sig). (4.188 ˃ 2.011). Therefore H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, there was significance effect of Project Based Learning toward the secondary students’ writing skill. As the implications of the study, it seems that Project Based Learning can bring helpful insight for both of secondary students and teachers on enhancing the writing skills.

This study was aimed to analyze types of cooperative maxims in the” Omar” movie. In addition, this study could be considered as a language is a complex phenomenon whose meaning depends on where and when it is used in the “Omar”movie based on the interrogation between the Israeli soldier and the main character (Omar). This study used cooperative maxims of Grice’s theory that The cooperative principle was stated in the following way make your conversational contribution such as was required, at the stage at which it occurs, by the accepted purpose or direction of the talk exchange in which you were engaged. This study applied descriptive qualitative approach in analyzing of the data obtained. The data based on the transcription of the dialogue of the main character and the Israeli soldier. The data found was the maxim of quantity 16 %, maxim of quality 5%, maxim of relevant 47%, and maxim of manner 32 %. Therefore, in this study the most dominant was relevant maxims. Thus, the most frequently used was relevant maxims because the interrogation needed relevant to answer the interogerator.Keywords: Analysis, Cooperative Maxims and Omar Movie.

This study deals with the register analysis of the Football terms used by journalist in the online media of “BOLA” news magazine. This study focused on the lexical and phrasal items of the grammatical features and contextual meaning of the register in the football terms. This study is deigned qualitatively. The findings show that there are 22 for lexical items, and 24 for phrasal items. Thus, in term of lexical mostly used by journalists in writing the terms of football lexically come to” team” and “youngster”. On the other hand, the mostly phrasal items found in the online media of BOLA news come to “Top scorer” with 6 occurrences (25%). The second places comes to “ Mid-week” with 3 occurrences (12.5%). This study can be concluded that the use of the lexical items of “youngster”, this register refers to the social context that football mostly played by young people. While in term of phrasal items come to the term of “Top scorer” to identify a player who has created or scores the most goals in a match. This term relates to the social context in term of the skill to kick the ball inside the goal keeper. On the other side, the use of the “Mid-week” is used to relate with the time of the match.Keywords: Register, Football terms, and Online News.

Semiotics, as a study about a sign as part of social life, leans on the rule or social code in a society. A rose for Emily is a short story tells about the detail of the story that has in Emily’s life and an odd relationship with her father, her boyfriend, Jefferson City, and her terrible secret that she was hiding. The objective of the article was to describe symbols used in the short story. The data was analyzed by using semiotics approach. It was found that there are some symbols in the short story illustrated by the author. They are “The Rose, The Move of her Hair, Ticking of Watch, The House and Black Color”. The Rose was symbolized as the relationship of Emily and her father. Emily grew up in luxurious. And The move of her hair was as a symbol of changing of her life. Moreover, ticking of watch was as a symbol to come to the new generation. Both of the House and Emily have changed after the death. Her house extinct as abandoned. Lastly, the black color was a symbol of death, depression, and darkness.The writer found that each symbols in A Rose for Emily illustrated the darkness and mysterious life of Miss Emily. Komunitas anak punk semakin lama semakin banyak. Dengan berbagai latar belakang dan memiliki ideologi yang sama dengan teman lainnya. Pada kenyataannya,keberadaan anak punk tidak sepenuhnya dapat diterima di masyarakat. Masyarakat menilai mereka dengan pandangan yang negatif. Dalam pandangan masyarakat, komunitas punk memang memiliki perilaku menyimpang, identik dengan label negatif yang mengedepankan gaya, trend, dan fashion. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran komunitas anak punk di daerah X Kota Batam. Hasil penelitian ini bahwa anak punk di daerah X memilih untuk menjadi anak punk bukan karena terpaksa atau sekedar ikut-ikutan saja. Bagi anak punk di daerah X menyikapi hidup mereka dengan tidak tergantung kepada orang lain (lebih mandiri). Dimana, disaat anak-anak muda yang lain lebih memilih diskotik atau tempat hiburan lainnya. Anak punk di daerah X memilih jalanan sebagai tempat mereka berbaur bersama dengan teman-teman anak punk lainnya dalam kesehariannya. Kata Kunci: Kasus, Komunitas Anak Punk, dan Daerah BatamCommunity punk gradually becoming more common. With a variety of backgrounds and have the same ideology with other friends. In fact, the existence of punk kids are not fully accepted in society. People consider those with a negative view. In the view of the public, the punk community does have a deviant behavior, synonymous with a negative label that emphasizes style, trend and fashion. The purpose of this study is to describe the punk community in the X area of Batam. The results of this study that the punks in the X chose to become a child of punk is not out of necessity or just went along with it. For children of punk in the X addressing their lives by not depend on others (more independent). Where, when young people others prefer a discotheque or other entertainment venues. Penelitian ini berjudul "Pengaruh Guru Profesional terhadap Motivasi Siswa di Kelas VIII Bidang Ilmu Sosial di SMP Baptist Batam Tahun2013 / 2014." Penelitian ini dilakukan karena kurangnya guru profesional yang penting untuk mengendalikan kelas sebagai hasilnya. Itu mempengaruhi motivasi siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Guru Profesional terhadap Motivasi Siswa dalam Mata Pelajaran Ilmu Sosial di Kelas VII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Batam tahun 2013/2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa SMP dengan menggunakan Baptist Batam di kelas VIIIB sebagai sampel melalui teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengolahan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji uji normalitas prasyarat, uji t dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guru Profesional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Hal itu ditunjukkan sebagai koefisien korelasi sebesar0,540. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh hasil t = 3.399 dan tabel = 2.048, t-test ternyata tableor3.399 2.048 maka Ho (hipotesis nol) ditolak sedangkan Ha (hipotesis alternatif) diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara Motivasi Siswa Guru Profesional di Kelas VIII Bidang Ilmu Sosial di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Batam tahun 2013/2014. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan koefisien determinasi, diperoleh faktor kontribusi guru Profesionalisme sebesar 29,217% terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dan sisanya 70,782% yang ditentukan oleh faktor lain.
