Abstract

This article reviews an in-depth study on the Local Theology of the Bolaang Mongondow Ethnicity, focusing on history, ethnic origins, perspectives on God, and the contextualization efforts of the Gospel. With a long history, Bolaang Mongondow carries a cultural richness reflected in their Local Theology, examined through content analysis methods on relevant literature. Beliefs in Ompu Duata and ancestral spirits serve as the foundation of cultural authenticity, particularly in wedding and funeral customs. The worldview of this ethnic group is shaped through the elements of ancient belief in Ompu Duata. This research reveals contextualization strategies that empower Local Theology through content analysis, emphasizing the importance of preserving local terms while assigning new meanings consistent with Gospel teachings. Overall, this study provides a profound understanding of the harmonious balance between Local Theology and Gospel teachings, laying the groundwork for meaningful relationships with this ethnicity, and contributing to discussions on belief pluralism and cultural heritage preservation amid global dynamics.

Abstract

The aims of the research were to know (1) the lecturer’s obstacles in teaching listening, (2) the lecturer’s strategies in overcoming the obstacles, and (3) the sudents’ motivation and attitude in learning listening. The data was conducted by interview in semi-structured interview with the lecturer and structured interviewed with the students, and doing the observation toward the lecturer’s obtacles and the strategies, and the students’ motivation and attitude. The result of the research found that the lecturer’s obstacles in teaching listening were in four factors. The first was students factors: the students’ lack in vocabularies and grammar, and the students’ low motivation in learning listening. The second was speakers factor: the speakers’ accent especially the native speakers’ accent in conversation make the students difficult and can not catched the uttarances by the speakers because they speak too fast. The third was teaching methods factors: the lecturer used inappropriate material for the college students. The fourth was classroom fasilities: unreadiness of listening material books, unreadiness of language laboratory and unreadiness of listening module for the students. Furthermore, the strategies used by the lecturer in overcoming the obstacles consisted of predicting strategy to overcome the students’ low motivation. Monitoring, evaluating and clarifying strategy to solve the obstacle with students’ lack in grammar and vocabularies. Responding and monitoring strategy to overcome the problem about the speakers. The lecturer used material based on students’ level to solve the teaching method problem about in appropriate listening materials for college students. The lecturer used material from another resources to taught the students, the using of language laboratory from other school for teaching listening and gave materials for the students to independent study to overcome the unreadiness of listening module. In addition, the result of the research also found that the students’ motivation in learning listening were in moderate level and the students’ attitude toward learning listening were in high positive attitude.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out whether small group discussion can motivate students in speaking English or not and to know the factors of students have not motivation in speaking English. The participants of the researcher are 25 students of tenth grade of MA Al-Khairaat Guraping. The method of the research is qualitative research and the result of the research is the students were motivated when small group discussion applied as a technique in teaching English. The students were so happy and active when speaking English in small group and they can speak without afraid they will make mistake, they can responds the teacher’s questions and asking a questions when they did not know the materials and they have desire in practice speaking and they know the important of English for their future. They also can work together in a group, they can practice speaking without afraid and feeling shame, and the extensive materials make them happy to learn English. So that, the conclusion is small group discussion can motivate students’ in speaking English but the teacher must have big attention to the students who still less in motivation.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative approach by conducting descriptive analysis that has integrated technology in their learning. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis method. The results of the study show that technology can play an important role in shaping the creativity of PAI teachers. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, technology gives PAI teachers access to various digital resources, such as interactive learning materials, videos, and game-based learning applications. The use of this technology provides an opportunity for teachers to present learning materials in a more interesting and innovative way, so as to increase their creativity in designing effective learning strategies. This research shows that technology has a significant role in shaping the creativity of PAI teachers in the Independent Curriculum era in MI/SD. With the right use of technology, PAI teachers can develop innovative and interesting learning strategies for students, increasing their participation and understanding in Islamic education learning. However, challenges related to access to and skills in technology need to be addressed to ensure effective use of technology in the context of PAI learning.

Abstract

The basis of this research is inspired by the rapid growth of tourism activities and technological development that are increasingly accesible. Therefore, it is easy for foreigners to carry out the Child Sex Tourism cases in several regions, currently it will be focused on areas of Bali that are visited by many foreigners for vacation. The growing progress of tourism that leads to commercial sexual exploitation of children must be concern of the government and non-governmental organizations that can help eradicaate Child Sex Tourism. This organization is called ECPAT, which is an international organizational that assists and responds to cases of child exploitation or sexual crimes. This research is used human security theory and behavioralism approach. Research methodology uses qualitative research with literature study techniques sourced from several literature such as articles, journals, annual reports from various institutions and real data to support the research. The research conducted can be supported by justice and spreading education on social media.

Abstract

The study descriptively analyzed the implementation of the functions of Christian Chaplain for the development of Christian Education in North Sulawesi. Qualitative research method was applied and software NVivo 14 was used for analyzing data. This study was aimed to investigate the application of the four functions of Christian chaplain, namely, informative-educative, consultative, advocative, and administrative, as stated in the Technical Guide of Christian chaplain Number 137 Year 2017. The result showed that Christian chaplains, generally, had not yet understood those functions, characterized by the conventional practice of chaplaincy, which is by conducting worship. Primarily, uncomprehending and lacking of managerial competency became the main reasons of the traditional practice. To be professional, in applying the informative, Christian chaplain had to include identification and evaluation stages as part of managerial competency. For consultative function, Christian chaplain need to apply consultation steps by Killman and Miltroff and applying 7 advocation step of the Open Society Foundations for advocacy, and Fayol stage of administration for administrative function. This study was expected to open the opportunity of policy redesigning concerning of recruitment, education and competencies

Abstract

Personal data is what is most needed to process or carry out transaction activities on digital platforms. In processing, storing and managing personal data, it is not uncommon for failures in the system to result in personal data being leaked due to the inability of the electronic organizer to process the data, the electronic organizer's system being inadequate and a lack of security in the system. This research aims to determine the factors that cause leaks of personal data of platform users in e-commerce, legal protection for digital platform users who are accused of personal data leaks, and government efforts to reduce leaks of users' personal data in e-commerce. This research uses a normative juridical approach, namely an approach based on the main legal materials by examining legal principles, legal systematics and legal comparisons. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the factors causing the leak of personal data of platform users in e-commerce are due to the lack of implementation of regulations, supervision of system suitability, education regarding the importance of protecting personal data, and cyber space security that is not well controlled, and the existence of forms of cyberspace threats. Preventive legal protection efforts in article 16 of Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Protection of personal data, Article 26 paragraph (1) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, Article 33 Paragraph (2) of Government Regulation Number 80 of 2016 2019 Concerning Trading Through Electronic Systems. Repressive legal protection for users can be resolved through litigation or non-litigation based on Article 60 of the Personal Data Protection Law. The government's efforts to reduce data leaks include regulation, supervision and control, providing education, and securing cyberspace.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the nature of the provision of legal aid for people who cannot afford it and to find out the legal protection for people who cannot afford legal aid from the perspective of justice. In this research, a normative legal research method is used, to explain and examine the issues raised, there are several approaches that need to be taken in order to conduct a comprehensive and detailed research. In this context, researchers use a statutory approach (statue approach). The legal material analysis technique used in this research is normative/prescriptive analysis technique. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, the essence of providing legal aid for the poor is integral in a fair justice system. It is not only about providing financial assistance, but also about providing equal access to the law, protecting human rights, and maintaining justice in the legal system. Ensuring that every individual has equal access to the justice system is a crucial step in maintaining a just and democratic society.

Abstract

The problems found in this research were: low student mathematics learning outcomes, feeling bored while studying, lack of interest and attention of students towards the teacher during learning. This research aims to determine the learning outcomes of students at SD Negeri 136541 Tanjungbalai City for the 2023/2024 academic year learning mathematics on fractions, decimal and whole numbers. In cycle I, meeting I, there were no students who got a very high category score (0%), 2 students (8%) got a high category score, 11 students (40%) got a low category score, and 13 students (52%) got a very low category value. In cycle I, meeting II, there were no students who got a score in the very high category (0%), 7 students (24%) in the high score category, 9 students (36%) in the low score category, and 10 students (40%) in the very score category. low. There was an increase in the completeness of student learning outcomes in cycle II. This can be seen in the data from cycle II of meeting I, as many as 5 students (20%) were in the very high score category, 11 students (40%) got a score in the high score category, 8 students (32%) were in the low score category, and 2 students (8%) fall into the very low score category. In cycle II, 20 students (76%) got a score in the very high category, 5 students (20%) were in the high score category, 1 student (4%) had a low score, and there were no students who were in the very low category ( 0%). For the teacher's ability in the learning process in cycles I and II, the results were 2.4 and 2.7 in the quite good category. Meanwhile, in cycle II, meetings I and II obtained scores of 3.6 and 3.8 in the very good category. So it can be concluded that using the Make A Match method can improve the learning outcomes of class V students at SD Negeri 136541 Tanjungbalai City for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The Make A Match learning method can make students active in thinking when doing assignments and more enthusiastic in learning.

Abstract

Character education has become crucial in individual development, especially in today's modern era. This article explains an effective approach to character formation through extracurricular, teenage scientific groups, by integrating Al-Ghazali perspectives. The main focus is on Al-Ghazali's views of ethics, morality, and positive moral development. The extracurricular scientific groups of adolescents have the potential to achieve character education goals. By defining the purpose of the group, its relationship with the character, and the methods of development used, this article analyzes the compatibility of Al-Ghazali values with the activity of the teenage scientific group. Case studies highlight the implementation of this concept, evaluate the positive impact on group members, and highlight the role of guidance. Challenges and opportunities in integrating traditional concepts into modern contexts were also discussed. In conclusion, this article provides an in-depth insight into how extracurricular teenage scientific groups can be an effective medium in shaping characters according to Al-Ghazali's views.
