Abstract

Peningkatan kekuatan regangan sekaligus pengurangan polusi di lingkungan laut perlu dilakukan. Peneliti menggunakan serat alam berupa serat eceng gondok sebagai pengganti serat kaca. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kekuatan mekanik komposit berpenguat serat eceng gondok bermatriks Polyester unsaturated dengan perlakuan alkali pada orientasi yang telah ditetapkan dengan perbandingan komposisi serat, sehingga diperoleh komposisi terbaik. Adapun metode yang digunakan yakni melalui perendaman dalam pelarut NaOH 2%. Serat yang telah direndam kemudian di karakterisasi mikrostruktur, setelah itu dilakukan uji penyerapan air dan ketahanan terhadap kimia. Kemudian melakukan uji Tarik komposit dengan komposisi serat sebesar 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, dan 10% berat dari total massa komposit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan penyerapan air jika dibandingkan dengan serat eceng gondok tanpa perlakuan. Pada ketahanan kimia, terjadi peningkatan ketahanan kimia baik terhadap larutan basa maupun larutan asam. Pada komposit serat alam, tegangan paling tinggi pada komposisi 4% berat sebesar 25,17 N/mm2 dan regangan paling besar pada komposisi 6% sebesar 10,45%.

Abstract

This rice straw waste contains high levels of hemicellulose, cellulsoa and lignin. Cellulose content is high enough so that the rice waste has the potential as a base for making liquid smoke. One of the uses of liquid smoke is in fish products. The treatment that will be carried out in this study is based on the way the liquid smoke concentration is given to the product, the duration of cooking pressure and the method of liquid smoke. The treatment is: Liquid Smoke Concentration (A), A1: 0.8%, A2: 1.2%, Duration of Presto (B), B1: 60 Minutes, B2: 90 Minutes, B3: 120 Minutes, Method of Giving Liquid Smoke (C), C1: Soaked in Liquid Smoke for 5 minutes then dippedo and then dried at 150 ° C for 30 minutes, C2: Dipresto then soaked in Liquid Smoke for 5 minutes then dried at 150 ° C for 30 minutes, C3: Dipresto in Smoke The liquid is then dried at 150 ° C for 30 minutes. Based on the results of the research obtained, it can be concluded that: Rice Straw can be used as a material for making liquid smoke, Cakalang fish dipresto with liquid smoke using rice straw as the main raw material for skipjack tuna for all treatments, has good quality. Variations in testing of variations in treatment combinations, showed varying differences in each combination of treatments and there was no fixed combination of treatments to describe one test. Hedonic testing, the treatment that shows good results is at a concentration of 1.2%, presto time 90 minutes using either dipresto method or soaked first. In testing the trio duo, the treatment that showed good results was at a concentration of 0.8%, presto time 60 and 90 minutes was also good with the method of either dipresto first or soaked first.

Abstract

Indonesian shipyards are generally dominated by shipyards classified as traditional shipyards. Marine and Fisheries Bitung of Polytechnic dockyard or also known as workshop fishing vessel training is one of the shipyards belonging to the Technical Execution Unit of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. Currently, the shipyard is only used for repairing fishing vessels with a tonnage of less than 30 GT around the town of Bitung. The shipyard uses a slipway type construction or a pull dock that uses an electric winch. The large number of ship repair requests at Bitung Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic shipyard is the reason for the need to increase the capacity of the shipyard. A technology level assessment should be carried out in order to see to what extent the level of technology which includes components of humanware, technoware, infoware and orgaware meets the needs of ship repair at the shipyard. This research was carried out from June to August 2021 using the case study method and analyzed by calculating the TCC value (technological contribution coefficient) of the technological components of technoware, humanware, infoware and orgaware. The highest contribution value is the infoware component, while the technoware component has the lowest contribution. The marine fisheries Bitung Polytechnic shipyard shows that the value of technological contributions lies in the semi-modern classification. Abstract

Perairan Minahasa Utara bagian Barat pada umumnya merupakan hamparan batu karang yang memiliki potensi sumber daya perikanan yang relatif melimpah salah satunya adalah gurita (Octopus). Dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya ini masyarakat nelayan Desa Budo menangkap gurita menggunakan alat tangkap pancing yang disebut sihoru atau gara–gara boboca, alat tangkap ini adalah alat tangkap pancing jenis tonda. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan warna umpan terhadap jumlah hasil Tangkapan dan mengetahui spesies octopus hasil tangkapan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan adalah eksperimental dan dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik Uji T. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh hasil nilai analisis P coklat hitam dan sebesar 0.6041, coklat dan merah sebesar 0.4762, hitam dan merah sebesar 0.8455 yang semua nilainya berada diatas α0.05 = 2.2281 dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan warna umpan tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil tangkapan. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi gurita yang tertangkap adalah Octopus cyanea. Kata kunci :Desa Budo, gurita, sihoru

Abstract

The utilization of Tuna in Regency of Morotai Island include: selling the raw fish directly to consumers and processes to be a product. One of the refined products of Tuna that have come to international market is frozen Loin Tuna production from PT. Harta Samudra. The purpose of this research is to explain the Processing Profile of Frozen Loin Tuna at PT. Harta Samudra. This reseach be expected can give the information of the utilization of frozen Loin Tuna and become a the data base for advanced researches about frozen Loin Tuna at  PT. Harta Samudra. The research take a place at PT. Harta Samudra on 7-14 Oktober 2019. The collecting data on field used survey method and semi-structural interview. The result of this research is the Processing of frozen Loin Tuna at  PT. Harta Samudra consisted of: the accepted of staples, cleaning I, preparation and loin production, dark flesh disposal, barking, weighing, cleaning II, clear smoke injection, refigation, ozone spraying and retouching, final check, vacuum, refrigeration ABF, metal detector, packing and labeling, frozen storage, and stuffing.  Keywords: Frozen Loin Tuna, Processing,  PT. Abstract

Abstract–Bigeye scad resources which landed at Bitung Oceanic Fishing Port is one of important fish capture in Bitung because its have economic value and second ratings after scad mackerel in product volume. Bigeye scad fish capture was often mixed with another species in fisherman fish capture, so it making difficult to distinguish clearly.The objective of this research are : 1) to indentification bigeye scad in morfology, 2) to analyzemolecular bigeye scad, (3) to evidence the bigeye scad are the same species or not.Sample for the study were collectedfish landing site at Bitung Ocean Fishing Port from December 2015 to March 2016. The methodology of the research is survey research. For data analysis using truss morfometrics, principal component analysis (PCA) and mtDNA region COI. The result of this research indicated that based on the analysis of morphometric characters and PCA, bigeye scad and smalleye scad have differences in morphology, but result of mt DNA-COI analysis indicated those species are the same as Selar crumenophthalmus with similarity value 99,67%. Abstract

The research objectives were (1) to examine the difference of productivity level of the catch (hook rate) between the flying bottom longline (RDL) and the conventional bottom longline. (2) record the type and amount of catch. The flying bottom longline (RDL) in this study is a modified construction design of bottom long line, by shortening the branch line and reducing its distance on the main line. The fishing method was changed by spreading the main line on the bottom of the sea. Thus each branch line and hooks will float to the mid surface by taking advantage of the movement of the ocean currents. The research was conducted in August-October 2020 in the waters of the Lembeh Strait, Bitung City, North Sulawesi. The research method used was 6 fishing trips trials. The results of this study indicate that the normality and homogeneity test of the hook rate data distribution is obtained 0.635 for residual value of data normality and a 0.732 of residual value of homogenity, so the data is normally distributed and homogeneous The hook rate on the flying bottom longline (RDL) operated at a depth of 10 m with fresh squid fish bait illustrates that the flying bottom longline hook rate (RDL) is higher than the conventional bottom longline (Rdk). The same thing happened at a depth of 20 m. The hook rate of the flying bottom line (RDL) was higher than that of the conventional bottom line (RDK). The effect of fresh squid bait shows a significant difference in the amount of catch between RDL and RDK. There is a significant difference between RDL and RDK when using decapterus bait. There is no significant difference between the depths of 10 meters and 20 meters on the amount of fish catch. The number of fish species caught using the flying bottom longline (RDL) is eleven species of demersal fish. Total catch using conventional bottom longlines (RDK) is eight species of demersal fish. Abstract

Keselamatan dan  kesehatan kerja ( K3) di kapal telah menjadi perhatian di antara pemerintah dan pebisnis sejak lama. Faktor  K3 terkait erat dengan kinerja anak buah kapal (ABK) dan pada gilirannya pada kinerja perusahaan. Semakin banyak fasilitas ke sel amatan kerja, semakin sedikit kemungkinan kecelakaan kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis potensi resiko keselamatan kerja ABK dan aspek kelayakan, keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja diatas kapal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, jenis penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan kuesioner. Data-data yang diperoleh di analisis menggunakan matriks IFAS,EFAS dan SWOT. Perhitungan total  antara bobot dan nilai skoring pada tabel IFAS dan EFAS penerapan K3 KM Anna Rizky 7 menunjukkan nilai komponen internal sebesar 3,09, sedangkan nilai eksternal sebesar 2,89. Selisih nilai IFAS maupun EFAS bernilai positif, oleh karena itu penerapan K3 KM Anna Rizky 7 berada pada posisi kuadran 1. Hal tersebut berarti strategi yang digunakan adalah strategi progresif (pertumbuhan) yaitu strategi yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penerapan k3 demi mencapai pertumbuhan yang baik. Cara yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan strategi tersebut adalah melakukan pelatihan K3 untuk ABK, memberikan jaminan ketenagakerjaan ABK, melengkapi keselamatan atau memperbaharui alat keselamatan serta memperbaiki kondisi kapal dan melaksanakan prosedur kerja keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja di atas kapal .Kata kunci: ABK, K3, SWOT.

Abstract

Hutan mangrove merupakan sumberdaya pesisir yang berperan penting dalam pembangunan baik daerah atau negara. Kawasan mangrove memiliki peranan yang sangat vital bagi manusia dan hewan yang hidup di dalamnya. Dalam beberapa dekade terakhir ini sering terjadi pengalihfungsian lahan mangrove tanpa izin untuk dijadikan lahan pertambakan, pemukiman, dll. Oleh karena itu diperlukan langkah strategis untuk melindungi hutan mangrove sekaligus menjadikan hutan mangrove tersebut dapat menghasilkan uang bagi masyarakat sekitarnya agar manfaat ekonomi bisa dirasakan oleh masyarakat tanpa merusak hutan mengrove yaitu dengan cara pengelolaan yang baik dan tersruktur. Praktik ini bertujuan untuk: 1. Mengetahui sistem pengelolaan di Mangrove Information Center Wonorejo Surabaya. 2. Mengetahui jenis kegiatan wisata di Mangrove Information Center Wonorejo Surabaya. 3. Megidentifikasi permasalahan yang terjadi dalam pengelolaan Mangrove Information Center Wonorejo Surabaya. 4. Mengetahui jenis vegetasi mangrove yang ada di Mangrove Information Center Surabaya. Kesimpulan dari sistem pengelolaan Mangrove Information Center (MIC) adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Mangrove Information Center dikelola oleh masyarakat Wonorejo dibawah naumgan Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian Kota Surabaya. 2. Kegiatan wisata yang terdapat di Mangrove Information Center ada 2 yaitu ekowisata mangrove dan jasa foto prewedding. 3. Permasalahan yang dihadapi Mangrove Information Center dalam hal pengelolaan antara lain yaitu air bersih, akses jalan, tugas para pengelola yang kurang teratur, dana bantuan kepada Mangrove Information Center. 4. Di Mangrove Information Center terdapat 2 jenis spesies mangrove dari 3 stasiun pengamatan yang dilakukan, yaitu Avicenia alba dan Avicenia marina. Vegetasi Avicennia marina mendominasi pada tingkat pohon, anakan dan semai hampir di semua stasiun penelitian sedangkan vegetasia Avicenia alba mendominasi pada tingkat anakan, pohon, dan semai hanya pada stasiun 2.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the species composition (Kj) and the weight composition (Kb) of the catch using a bottom gillnet whom operated by fishermen the village of Kulu. The research was conducted from October to December 2020. The research method was experimental fishing using gillnets with a 3 inch mesh size. The fishing operation took place over 15 trips and the fishing area was around the waters of the village of Kulu. The results showed that the catch was 117 fish including 15 kinds of fish and one type crustacean. The composition based on the dominant fish species is Naso hexacanthus (29.06%), whereas the composition based on the dominant weight is Portunus pelagicus (33.6%).
