Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of muamalah education at MTs Al-Huda Mertoyudan, Mertoyudan District, Magelang Regency. Muamalah education is an important part of character building and students' understanding of how to interact socially and economically in accordance with Islamic principles. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that muamalah education at MTs Al-Huda is implemented through fiqh subjects and religious extracurricular activities. The material taught includes the concepts of buying and selling, lending and borrowing, cooperation, and transaction ethics in Islam. The teachers emphasize the practice and application of muamalah values in everyday life. In conclusion, muamalah education at MTs Al-Huda has been implemented systematically and has made a positive contribution in shaping students' social and religious attitudes.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah perempuan memegang peran penting dalam mendorong perubahan di lingkungan pendidikan. Namun, perempuan sering menghadapi tantangan unik yang berkaitan dengan budaya, struktur organisasi, dan ekspektasi gender. Artikel ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi tantangan utama yang dihadapi kepala sekolah perempuan dalam memimpin perubahan, serta strategi yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan analisis induktif terhadap berbagai sumber primer dan sekunder. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama meliputi stereotip gender, resistensi internal sekolah, keterbatasan akses pengambilan keputusan, dan beban ganda peran domestik. Strategi yang efektif meliputi penguatan kapasitas kepemimpinan, membangun jaringan profesional, serta menerapkan komunikasi transformatif dan partisipatif. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini mendorong perlunya dukungan sistemik dan pengembangan kapasitas khusus bagi kepala sekolah perempuan untuk mempercepat perubahan pendidikan yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to classify research activities of Islamic Education lecturers based on Lecturer Workload Reports using the K-Means clustering method. The dataset includes research activities of PAI lecturers at UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda over the past three academic years. Classification was conducted by identifying publication types based on keywords and summarizing each lecturer’s activity. The results show variations in productivity, with many activities falling into the “others” category due to the lack of explicit publication descriptions. The K-Means method grouped lecturers into three clusters: Active, Moderately Active, and Less Active, based on the number of activities and total SKS. These findings can assist faculty leaders in formulating human resource development strategies and enhancing lecturers’ performance in supporting key performance indicators (KPI) and accreditation standards.

Abstract

Quranic Reading and Writing Learning at As-Sholih Islamic Education Center in Tegalretna Public Elementary School There are two main objectives of this research: (1) To analyze Quranic reading and writing learning in enhancing Quranic literacy at As-Sholih Islamic Education Center in Tegalretna Public Elementary School, and (2) To analyze the supporting and hindering factors in Quranic reading and writing learning. This study adopts a qualitative approach and utilizes a case study method, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research reveals that Quranic reading and writing learning are influenced by various aspects, including the teaching methods employed and the crucial role of teachers in developing students' abilities in reading and writing the Quran. The findings of this research indicate that As-Sholih Islamic Education Center at Tegalretna Public Elementary School represents a collaborative effort to establish Islamic-based education centered around the Quran. (1) The Quranic reading and writing learning process takes place outside regular school hours as part of extracurricular activities. Several factors affect the Quranic reading and writing learning process, including students' motivation and interest, teacher quality, facilities and resources, time, parental involvement, and the community environment. The method used at As-Sholih Islamic Education Center is the Iqro method, covering volumes 1-6. For the Quranic reading and writing classes, they are tailored to the students' basic Quranic literacy skills. (2) Tegalretna Public Elementary School plays a role in providing facilities such as students, classrooms, desks, chairs, and necessary teaching materials for As-Sholih Islamic Education Center. Since Tegalretna Public Elementary School and As-Sholih Islamic Education Center collaborate, they mutually support each other. The evaluation of As-Sholih Islamic Education Center's teaching and learning activities is conducted to observe students' progress in Quranic reading and writing skills. This evaluation takes the form of an event in which each Quranic reading and writing class will take the stage to showcase what they have learned during the academic year. Evaluation is also carried out by teachers from Tegalretna Public Elementary School and As-Sholih Islamic Education Center, although the focus and criteria for evaluation differ. The teachers' evaluation aims t discuss how to ensure the learning process continues to run smoothly.

Abstract

Abstract Education, especially Islamic Religious Education, has a goal, one of which is for students to be able to practice the values ​​they acquire in the educational process, so that they become good thinkers and practitioners of Islamic teachings who are able to dialogue with the developments of the times. SKI is one of the main subjects in the PAl curriculum given to students at MI, MTS, and MA. History of Islamic Culture at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is one of the PAI subjects which examines the origins, development, role of Islamic culture or civilization and figures who excelled in Islamic history in the past, starting from the history of pre-Islamic Arab society, the history of birth and apostolate of the Prophet Muhammad, up to the time of Khulafaurrasyidin. The SKI subject in the madrasah tsanawiyah curriculum is one part of Islamic religious education subjects which is directed at preparing students to know, understand and appreciate the history of Islamic culture, which then becomes the basis for their way of life through guidance, teaching, training, use of observation and habituation. Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of Ibn Miskawayh’s thought in early childhood education, particularly in shaping children's character in the digital age. Amidst the challenges of globalization and rapid technological advancements, early character education has become increasingly urgent. Through a literature review focusing on Ibn Miskawayh’s seminal work Tahzib al-Akhlaq, this research reveals that his perspectives on ethics, the human soul, and educational methods are highly applicable to contemporary child education. Ibn Miskawayh emphasized the importance of habituation, guidance, and role modeling in the character-building process. His balanced integration of Islamic teachings and philosophical reasoning provides a solid foundation for value-based character education. The findings show that his educational principles are highly relevant to early childhood education institutions (PAUD) in strengthening children’s character development in modern times.

Abstract

Penyebaran Islam di tanah Jawa tidak lepas dari peran penting para Wali Songo, salah satunya adalah Sunan Bonang. Ia dikenal sebagai tokoh dakwah yang berperan besar dalam mengislamkan masyarakat di wilayah pesisir utara Jawa, khususnya di Tuban, Jawa Timur. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kiprah Sunan Bonang dalam menyebarkan Islam di Tuban melalui berbagai media dakwah yang kontekstual dengan budaya lokal. Salah satu strategi dakwah yang digunakan Sunan Bonang adalah pendekatan kultural, yaitu menyisipkan ajaran Islam ke dalam kesenian tradisional seperti gamelan, tembang suluk, wayang, dan puisi Jawa. Sunan Bonang juga menciptakan karya-karya tembang seperti Tombo Ati yang hingga kini masih dikenal luas oleh masyarakat. Melalui pendekatan ini, nilai-nilai Islam dapat diterima dengan mudah tanpa menimbulkan perlawanan dari masyarakat yang sebelumnya menganut ajaran Hindu-Buddha. Pendekatan dakwah yang dilakukan Sunan Bonang tidak bersifat frontal, tetapi mengedepankan nilai toleransi, hikmah, dan kesantunan. Media dakwah yang digunakan bukan hanya sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai jembatan budaya yang mempertemukan nilai-nilai Islam dengan kearifan lokal masyarakat Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka, yang didasarkan pada sumber-sumber sejarah, karya sastra, dan tradisi lisan masyarakat Tuban. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa dakwah Sunan Bonang memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap perkembangan Islam di Jawa Timur, dan menjadi model dakwah yang efektif hingga masa kini. Strategi dakwah beliau membuktikan bahwa Islam dapat disebarkan dengan cara damai, adaptif, dan tetap menjaga identitas budaya setempat.

Abstract

Some Islamic education policies during the New Order brought changes to the status of Islamic education. These policies indicate that Islamic education during the New Order era had the authority to develop and participate in efforts to realise the goals of the 1945 Constitution. This article will further discuss the policies of Islamic education and the teaching of Islamic Religious Education during the New Order era. The research was conducted through literature study and qualitative analysis by reviewing literature related to the theme. Various policies have been issued in an effort to improve the quality of national education, including Islamic education. Starting with MPRS Decree No. 27 of 1966, which mandated religious education at all levels of education. The Joint Ministerial Decree of 3 Ministers in 1975, which had a very positive impact on the development of madrasahs, and the UUSPN No. 2 of 1989, which integrated religious education into the national education system. The impact of Islamic education policies during the New Order era had a positive effect on the teaching process of Islamic education. In fact, some of those policies are still relevant to the current education system.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the religious values contained in the Al- Barzanji book, which are instilled in the NU Fatayat in Sidomoro Village. Furthermore, it was also to determine the strategies used to instill these religious values. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation involving NU Fatayat administrators and members of the NU Fatayat in Sidomoro Village, Buluspesantren, Kebumen. The results showed that the Al-Barzanji reading activity was carried out routinely every third week of the month. Through this activity, the religious values instilled were aqidah (faith), moral values in social interactions, moral values towards children, gratitude, politeness, and compassion. The strategies used to instill religious values included role modeling, habituation, advice, reciting the Al-Promise book with beautiful melodies and understanding its meaning, and giving individual reading assignments.
