Abstract

Key performance indicator is the ultimate goal pursued by financial technology companies. In most cases, the achievement of the goal has become major concern for top management. They need firmly mechanism to signal any possible risk that might interfere the process. At this context, the role of key risk indicator become very important. Unfortunately, focus in this issue is still rare and inconclusive. This research tries to propose conceptual framework to integrate key risk indicator into key performance indicators. Using COSO-2017 as the basic theory, we found that one alternative way is by combining both qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to detrude the key performance indicator in a quarterly basis. Series of medium enterprise financial technology company’s past performance must be treated using proper statistical tools while setting the most ideal targets for each quarter, thus rebalancing the optimism from the top management. Henceforth, the availability of historical loss event data would be useful to measure probability of risk occurrence and its possible impact objectively. We provide a conceptual framework to deal with this issue, followed by assessment for selected performance indicator in medium enterprise fintech. The study enclosed with conclusion and direction for further agenda.

Abstract

This research explores the implementation of Emotional Intelligence among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) leaders at Apotek Medical Plus. Through interviews and analysis, the study demonstrates that MSME leaders, such as the Finance Director as top manager and Pharmacist as first-level manager, have applied aspects of Emotional Intelligence, including self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. However, there remains room for improvement in this implementation. The research findings propose concrete steps for Apotek Medical Plus to enhance and maintain the application of Emotional Intelligence. These steps include fostering self-awareness through personal consultation sessions or anonymous surveys, cultivating self-regulation through mindfulness training, reinforcing motivation by providing career visions, deepening empathy through social activities, and enhancing social skills by attending seminars and receiving 360-degree feedback. These measures aim to ensure that the applied level of Emotional Intelligence can be sustained and even elevated for a better future.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have an important contribution in driving inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. However, limited resources, including in the aspects of technology and digital marketing, are still a significant obstacle for many MSMEs, especially those at the micro scale. Batik Wistara, a sociopreneur-based MSME in Surabaya that empowers people with disabilities, faces similar obstacles in optimizing digital marketing. Through a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods, mentoring activities were carried out which included digital marketing training, reactivation of social media channels and marketplaces, making product catalogs, and preparing applicable guidebooks. The results showed an increase in business owners' understanding of digital strategies, as well as the formation of a more structured and sustainable marketing system. This activity not only increases the competitiveness of Batik Wistara, but also contributes to inclusive and sustainable development efforts in accordance with the values in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

HKU Surabaya Performance Workshop, a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) operating in motorcycle maintenance and repair services in the Tropodo area, faces challenges in expanding its market reach and improving operational efficiency. Analysis indicates that the current business model relies heavily on walk-in customers, thereby limiting growth opportunities. Based on observations and interviews with the business owner, this article proposes a business model transformation by introducing a mobile motorcycle service supported by a digital ordering system via WhatsApp. Additionally, a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been developed to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery. This strategy is expected to address existing constraints, broaden customer outreach, and enhance competitiveness in an increasingly digital market. The adoption of a flexible, technology-driven business model is projected to be a strategic step toward achieving long-term growth for MSMEs in the automotive sector.

Abstract

The study employed a mixed-methods design. In the quantitative phase, 60 vocational nursing students who had completed an entrepreneurship training module participated in a post-test survey using two validated Likert-scale instruments: one to assess entrepreneurial attitude and the other to measure disaster readiness. Simple linear regression and descriptive statistics were used in the analysis. Semi-structured interviews with ten carefully chosen students were conducted throughout the qualitative phase to investigate their learning experiences and perceptions. Thematic analysis was used to interpret the qualitative data. A regression research showed a significant positive link between entrepreneurial mentality and catastrophe readiness (R² = 0.314, β = 0.560, p < 0.01). The qualitative findings corroborated the statistical findings, with themes including greater crisis self-efficacy, proactive thinking, leadership attitude, and the perceived application of entrepreneurship to disaster circumstances. Entrepreneurial training helps nursing students prepare for disasters. The combination of quantitative indicators and student narratives provided a more in-depth knowledge of how entrepreneurial skills translate into disaster preparedness. The findings emphasize the need to incorporate innovation-driven approaches into nursing school curricula.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the syntax and social system in the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with the Adversity Quotient (AQ) in entrepreneurship learning for students at STKIP Andi Matappa. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, involving students and lecturers of the Entrepreneurship course as research subjects. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through the processes of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the PjBL-AQ syntax is systematically implemented through six phases, namely identifying essential questions, designing project planning, conducting investigations, monitoring and mentoring, testing project outcomes, and evaluation and reflection. Each phase demonstrates AQ indicators (Control, Ownership, Origin, Reach, and Endurance/CO2RE), which play a role in developing students’ entrepreneurial readiness. Furthermore, the emerging social system indicates a collaborative relationship among lecturers, students, and business partners. Lecturers act as active facilitators, students exhibit strong independence and teamwork, while collaboration with entrepreneurs strengthens students’ authentic learning experiences. The findings confirm that integrating PjBL with AQ is effective in developing students’ resilience, creativity, responsibility, and entrepreneurial readiness through contextual and applicable learning experiences. This study recommends strengthening AQ evaluation instruments and expanding external partnerships to enhance the sustainability of the model’s implementation.
