Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in Indonesia's economy, particularly in terms of employment generation and national economic resilience. However, many MSMEs face challenges in financial management and marketing, especially in the era of digitalization. This research examines the implementation of the Community Development Program KUM-017 in Sangkanerang Village, Kuningan, West Java, focusing on empowering the Wedang Jahe Binangkit MSMEs. The program aims to enhance financial performance, operational efficiency, and marketing strategies through educational approaches and the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Methods include field studies, data analysis, and direct mentoring. Results show significant improvements in financial record-keeping, SOP development, and digital marketing strategies, despite challenges in adapting to change and human resources. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of effective financial management and marketing as key drivers for enhancing competitiveness and growth of MSMEs. Programs like this contribute positively and can be widely applied to support MSME growth in Indonesia, alongside efforts to strengthen the local economy and improve community welfare.

Abstract

Keripik Tempe PEDO is an MSME selling light snack products originally made from Kawahmanuk Village, Darma District, Kuningan Regency, West Java. So far, Keripik Tempe PEDO only has one product, tempe chips. The UMKM was once inactive and became one of the reasons it became a part of the 2024 Community Development program to revive the business. After carrying out direct mentoring activities, the problems encountered were the production process and also the very narrow sales channels. Through the 2024 Community Development activities, it is hoped that it can increase the knowledge and skills of the business owners regarding entrepreneurship, management, and the adoption of technology to develop their UMKM. The purpose of this activity is to explore and observe the processes and business potentials that can be developed. The results of this activity show that Keripik Tempe PEDO can still be developed by expanding online sales channels

Abstract

Community empowerment based on tourism villages aims to create a symbiotic relationship between tourism and the local community, where both parties benefit. At the same time, it also promotes cultural and environmental preservation while improving the livelihoods of local residents. Prenggan Tourism Village is located in Prenggan Subdistrict, Kotagede District, and holds valuable cultural heritage, including handicrafts, traditional arts, and distinctive Javanese architecture. In addition to its many heritage buildings, this tourism village also offers various handicrafts such as silverwork and batik. Community empowerment in Prenggan Tourism Village follows three stages: awareness through socialization, capacity-building through training and seminars, and resource mobilization with financial assistance to manage the tourism village. Meanwhile, the cultural preservation process in this village includes registering heritage buildings, conducting maintenance or conservation, organizing cultural activities involving various stakeholders, and raising public awareness to preserve cultural heritage.

Abstract

Sumberjaya Village is a coastal community known as a traditional salted-fish production center, supported by abundant marine resources such as anchovy, grouper, tuna, snapper, and shrimp. Despite its potential, the drying process still relies heavily on conventional sun drying, making production vulnerable to weather conditions. During the rainy season, production frequently halts, product quality declines, and community income drops significantly. Through the BIMA Community Service Grant Program, the implementing team introduced an innovative Solar-Powered Greenhouse Dryer to address these challenges. This technology enables year-round drying in a hygienic, efficient, and environmentally friendly manner, producing cleaner and longer-lasting salted fish with higher market value. In addition to technological intervention, the program also provided training in business management, basic financial recording, digital marketing, and product legality assistance, including PIRT, NIB, and halal labeling. This integrated approach strengthened production capacity, enhanced community skills, and reinforced local institutional resilience. Overall, the synergy between appropriate technology and community capacity building has transformed Sumberjaya Village into a model of modern green-technology-based salted-fish processing, serving as a best-practice example of sustainable coastal economic empowerment in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of digital financial record-keeping at Coffee & Eatery BD Dubeskabta, a student-run MSME at SMKN 12 Kabupaten Tangerang, as part of the Community Development program by Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. Based on observations and interviews, the primary issue identified was the inefficiency and error-prone nature of manual bookkeeping. To address this, the team developed a Google Sheets-based system to automate profit, tax, and cash flow calculations. The training was conducted in three phases: a trial session (January 31, 2025), a main workshop (February 3, 2025), and subsequent monitoring. Post-implementation evaluation revealed improved efficiency and accuracy in financial recording, as well as enhanced ease for students in preparing financial reports. Despite some challenges related to mobile device data entry, the digital system proved more effective than manual methods. These findings support the integration of financial digitalization into vocational entrepreneurship curricula to strengthen students’ managerial competencies in business operations.
