Abstract

This research examines Indonesia's economic strategy in navigating simultaneous engagement with two major economic blocs, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and BRICS, specifically analyzing the relevance of the OECD for Indonesia after BRICS membership amidst the dynamics of economic growth of OECD countries. This research aims to analyze the potential of Indonesia's economic strategy through a hedging concept approach within the framework of BRICS membership and accession to the OECD. Using descriptive-qualitative method based on literature study and secondary data, the patterns of cooperation and economic performance of the two blocs are analyzed. The results show that engagement with BRICS does not diminish the strategic role of the OECD, BRICS offers opportunities through market expansion and access to alternative financing, while the OECD remains vital as a partner to promote structural reforms and improve national competitiveness.

Abstract

Acute ischemic stroke is a leading cause of mortality and disability in Indonesia, with thrombolysis therapy using alteplase being a high-cost treatment. The gap between the INA-CBGs tariff and actual hospital costs, particularly for ischemic stroke, poses a significant challenge to health financing efficiency. This study aims to analyze the disparity between INA-CBGs rates and actual costs for treating acute ischemic stroke at the University of Indonesia Hospital (RSUI). Using a retrospective descriptive design, the study examines JKN claim data from January to December 2024, with a sample of 340 claims of ischemic stroke patients (ICD-10 code I63.9) in the INA-CBGs G-4-14 group. The analysis includes patient characteristics, treatment class, severity level, and cost components. Results show that the majority of patients were male (57.4%) and aged 60–74 years (46.5%). Most patients (90.3%) did not receive thrombolysis, with moderate severity being the most common case (66.8%). A significant discrepancy was found between the INA-CBGs tariff (IDR 2,716,782,600) and actual hospital costs (IDR 3,468,927,095), with a negative difference of 27.7%. The main cost components were medicines (22.5%), followed by room accommodation, radiology, and laboratories. The study highlights the need for policy evaluation to address the financing gap in stroke services to ensure equitable and sustainable health financing.

Abstract

The dynamic development of national and regional economies in Southeast Asia underscores the need for legal clarity and effective corporate governance in state-owned enterprises. Previous studies have generally examined either Indonesian or Malaysian company law separately, without offering a direct comparative analysis that highlights the legal implications of differing systems—civil law in Indonesia and common law in Malaysia. This paper addresses that gap by presenting a comparative legal analysis of the state-owned limited liability company (LLC) structures in both countries, focusing on the foundational legal frameworks, ownership models, liability principles, and operational governance. The novelty of this research lies in its integrated examination of how different legal traditions shape corporate governance and shareholder protection in state enterprises. The objective of the study is to critically analyze the similarities and differences in the establishment, regulation, and dissolution of LLCs in Indonesia and Malaysia. The findings aim to contribute to better legal harmonization in ASEAN business environments and assist policymakers in both countries in evaluating the effectiveness of current regulations. The benefit of this research is to provide legal scholars, investors, and government officials with a clearer understanding of the legal forms of state-owned companies and their implications for legal certainty and business development in a cross-jurisdictional context.

Abstract

This research consists of five steps, first is literature review and Aspen Plus simulator review, this review step will not only provide initial data and assumptions, but also provide which thermodynamics data suitable to be used in Aspen Plus for this research. Second step is the data collection step, the data collected from actual recorded data such as temperature, pressure, and flow rate from one of oleochemicals plants in the June 2023 period complete with the analysis results. The data and analysis results are collected from several days in the month and selected based on normal running conditions of the plant without any interruptions. Third is the process modeling with Aspen Plus simulator using the data collected from literature review and actual plant data. Fourth step is validation of the process model using actual plant data with different modes. The last step is simulation of the process using the valid model to predict the product composition based on predetermined process parameter variation. Based on the actual plant data, valid model obtained using RadFrac Unit Operation, with reflux ratio 150, stage count at 32 stages, and feed stage at stage 23. Process parameter variation used in the simulation are reflux ratio and side product flow ratio with +/- 10% range. Based on the simulation result, reflux ratio affects methyl caproate product composition more than side product flow ratio in first methyl ester fractionation column. This model has the potential to be implemented in the plant to predict the methyl caproate composition in case of feed composition changes or deviation on the product composition itself.

Abstract

The bond between parents and children is an emotional bond, considering that a child is conceived for 9 months in his mother's womb until he is born into the world. The family certainly has an important role as the main shaping of a child's character, because the parenting of both fathers and mothers at home for children greatly affects the development that occurs in children. This research uses the Literature Review Technique or the technique of reviewing written works as a method of collecting literature data or research libraries or scientific papers. The primary data sources in this study are the results of research or scientific papers along with books related to the safe attachment relationship between parents and their children at an early age. The purpose of this research is to increase insight for parents as an effort to shape children's character, especially at an early age, especially in understanding the benefits of the secure attachment relationship that exists between parents and children. Studies from several previous studies related to safe attachment will be described descriptively in this study, such as explaining the factors that affect the safe attachment between parents and children and their positive impact on early childhood development so as to provide an overview of the safe attachment between parents and children.

Abstract

This study examines the application of mosque architectural elements in the design of KAPSARC Mosque in Saudi Arabia, which represents a contemporary architectural approach in response to sustainability and modernization issues. Unlike traditional mosques that feature domes, minarets, columns, and arches as key elements, KAPSARC Mosque reinterprets these components with a more minimalist and innovative design. The dome is omitted and replaced with a flat, cube-shaped roof, while arches are substituted with visual transitions through reflective pools and natural lighting. The minaret is retained but integrated more seamlessly with the main building, reinforcing the mosque's identity in a modern urban context. This study employs a qualitative approach using the case study method, relying on secondary data, including architectural documentation, academic studies, and visual sources, to analyze four key architectural elements of the mosque: dome, minaret, columns and arches, and ornamentation. The findings reveal that KAPSARC Mosque introduces a new paradigm in Islamic architecture by prioritizing innovative design while maintaining spiritual values and Islamic identity. However, this study has limitations, as it relies solely on secondary data without direct observations or interviews with the mosque’s designers and users. Therefore, further research is needed to explore worshippers' perceptions and the impact of the design on spiritual and social experiences. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the evolution of mosque architecture in responding to contemporary changes and sustainability challenges.

Abstract

Bali's heavy reliance on tourism, particularly in the events and MICE sector, has led to growing environmental degradation, water insecurity, and socio-cultural tensions. Despite policy efforts like the Bali Tourism Levy and the Regenerative Bali Program, fragmented governance and limited integration of local customs hinder sustainable outcomes. This study aims to develop an integrative policy framework for sustainable event management in Bali that harmonizes environmental conservation, socioeconomic equity, and cultural resilience. Utilizing an integrative literature review methodology grounded in the Theory, Context, and Methodology (TCM) framework, the study synthesizes peer-reviewed research from the Scopus database to examine the interactions among event policies, ecological systems, and stakeholder dynamics. Findings reveal that event policies often neglect traditional ecological knowledge and fail to equitably distribute benefits, exacerbating environmental strain and cultural erosion. However, initiatives incorporating Balinese philosophies such as Tri Hita Karana—and involving local stakeholders like subak and banjar councils—demonstrate improved environmental stewardship and economic outcomes. The proposed framework incorporates participatory governance models (e.g., Learning & Action Alliances), mandatory sustainability certifications, and community-led monitoring systems to synchronize ecological limits with social and cultural priorities. This research contributes to theory by advancing a Quadruple Bottom Line model that fuses cultural resilience into socio-ecological governance and suggests pathways for replicable, culturally embedded policy design in other tourism-dependent island settings.

Abstract

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a prevalent musculoskeletal disorder resulting from compression of the median nerve in the wrist, leading to symptoms such as pain, tingling, and weakness in the hands. Workers in the informal sector, particularly tailors, are at significant risk due to repetitive hand movements, prolonged static postures, and suboptimal ergonomic conditions. This study aims to analyze the occupational risk factors associated with CTS complaints among informal sector tailors in Cimahi City, focusing on age, smoking habits, and working hours. Using a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 107 tailor respondents through purposive sampling and assessed via structured questionnaires. The findings revealed a statistically significant association between age and CTS complaints (p-value = 0.001), indicating that older workers are more susceptible to the disorder. However, no significant correlation was found between smoking habits and CTS complaints (p-value = 0.269). Conversely, a strong association was identified between working hours and CTS complaints (p-value = 0.001), suggesting that prolonged working time increases the risk of developing symptoms. This research contributes valuable insights into occupational health risk factors for tailors, emphasizing the need for improved workplace ergonomics and targeted preventive interventions.
