Abstract

The research aims to analyze the competence of class VI teachers, the principal's academic supervision in increasing the competence of class VI teachers, and the implications of the principal's academic supervision in increasing the competence of class teachers. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that uses a pedagogical and managerial approach. The data source, namely primary data, comes from the principal, deputy principal, and teachers through interviews. Meanwhile, secondary data is taken from documents related to the research. The results of the research show that the Class VI teacher at SD Inpres Maliambao has good mastery of textual material, but is less able to illustrate it contextually. Mastery of Competency Standards/Basic Competencies (SK/KD) is adequate, but lacking in developing attitude and skill indicators. The development of learning materials and strategies is still limited, as well as professional development which is still pending, and the use of technology and information is very limited. School principals' academic supervision involves preparing a needs-based supervision program, implementing programs with a focus on fostering learning planning, contextual material guidance, fostering mastery of basic competencies, innovative learning strategies, professional development through writing scientific papers, and utilizing technology and information. Evaluation and follow-up of the supervision program is an integral part of this process. The implications of principal supervision involve increasing the professional competence of classroom teachers, positive responses from students and schools towards teachers with high competence, as well as positive responses from teachers towards school principals.

Abstract

The management of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) at GMIM Betlehem Kindergarten Tataraan II Tondano presents challenges that demand attention. This study delves into the intricacies of PAUD management implementation. Conducted at the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea (GMIM), the research scrutinizes the management practices within the institution. The data collection employed a combination of documentation, observation, and interview methods. The evaluation of PAUD management yields insightful findings. Notably, observation proves to be an effective tool in fostering students' object recognition and social abilities. Several components constitute the management of PAUD at GMIM Betlehem Kindergarten Tataraan II. The meticulous planning involves formulating a vision, mission, and institutional objectives, creating a comprehensive academic calendar, developing yearly programs structured into semesters, and crafting weekly and daily activity plans. Despite these efforts, the program's yearly updates lack responsiveness to on-the-ground developments. Implementation faces challenges due to insufficient teaching staff, a consequence of the substantial number of students in each class. Evaluating student progress is crucial, with the research emphasizing two stages: learning assessment and progress reporting. The assessment incorporates techniques such as observation, performance demonstrations, and anecdotal records. The findings contribute to the ongoing discourse, serving as a benchmark for educators to refine future teaching plans. In essence, addressing the complexities of PAUD management at GMIM Betlehem Kindergarten Tataraan II requires strategic planning, sufficient staffing, and a commitment to adapting programs based on regular assessments.

Abstract

Cardiovascular Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA) examination in diagnosing and evaluating congenital heart disease in pediatrics can make radiation exposure controversial and can lead to cancer risk. Development of parameter settings or modifications, namely tube voltage (kVp), pitch, and rotation time as an effort to optimize radiation dose to produce very low radiation dose. Apart from that, iterative reconstruction techniques are used as a reconstruction method to reduce noise to improve image quality. This study aimed to determine the effect of modifying 3 parameters using the iterative reconstruction technique on radiation dose, image quality, and anatomical information in pediatric CCTA examinations with clinical congenital heart disease at Harapan Kita Heart Hospital. Experimental research with a nonequivalent design. The results of this research are that the modification of 3 MSCT parameters and the iterative reconstruction technique produces a very low radiation dose which is significant at p = 0.000, with an average CTDIvol of 0.314 mGy, DLP 5.518 mGy.cm and can maintain different but not significant image quality, namely p = 0.72 in pulmonary artery SNR, p = 0.88 in ascending aorta SNR, p = 0.37 in pulmonary artery CNR and p = 0.41 in ascending aorta CNR so that it can provide anatomical information on contrast enhancement in the aorta and pulmonary artery area p = 0.02, extra cardiac analysis p = 0.04, contrast filling atria and ventricles p = 0.05, arterial and venous abnormalities p = 0.01, artifacts p = 0.17. Anatomical information is still informative in making a diagnosis. This study used a sample of 30 patients in the control group and intervention group using a purposive sampling method. Modification of 3 MSCT parameters with iterative reconstruction techniques provides an important contribution to the development of safe and informative scanning techniques for diagnosis.

Abstract

The use of augmented reality technology as an auxiliary medium in the wheel selection process is proof of the very rapid development of technology. An effective way to make work easier is by utilizing augmented reality technology, namely combining two-dimensional objects or three-dimensional objects that are applied to the real world. In other words, augmented reality is a combination of two or three-dimensional objects with the real world. A lot of time and energy is simply spent during the process of replacing car rims because the car owner does not feel comfortable with how to disassemble the rims, therefore the augmented reality application is a breakthrough to simplify and speed up the process of selecting rims, the method used is concept, design, assembly, testing, and distribution. The result of the research is an augmented reality application to simplify the process of selecting and replacing car rims on Impala auto fashion.

Abstract

The prevalence of renal stones is about 15% of the population. The trend is increasing with a high recurrence rate of up to 50% in 5 years, demanding a more sophisticated treatment for renal stones. ESWL is a treatment for less than 2 cm renal stones with good outcomes. Although ESWL is a technique with many advantages, many factors contribute to the outcome of ESWL with size and stones density as the most important factor. Oral dissolution therapy (ODT) has been used for decades and its effect on renal stones is beneficial to dissolve and prevent renal stones recurrence. The combination of ODT and ESWL is not yet recommended by current guidelines. The purpose of this systematic review is to summarize the latest evidence on the role of ODT in increasing the efficacy of ESWL for renal stones. The database used in this study are PubMed and Cochrane using keywords “urolithiasis”, “renal”, “shock wave”, “citrate”, and “oral dissolution therapy”. The outcome of the article sought is stone fragmentation after ESWL. 4 studies were included, and 3 compared the outcome between ESWL alone and ESWL combined with ODT. The outcome of combined therapy shows superior outcomes compared to ESWL alone with fewer sessions required for stone clearance or a higher chance for stone fragmentation. One study in children showed 100% stone clearance after ESWL with ODT, which was higher than the average success rate of ESWL in children with renal stones. Oral dissolution therapy may have a role in increasing the efficacy of extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy for patients with less than 2 cm renal stones.

Abstract

Law No. 20 of 2003 on the national education system emphasizes the purpose of national education to form individuals of faith, piety, noble character, and knowledge. Pesantren also has a dual role as a translator of Islamic teachings and as a traditional educational institution that maintains moral values in the times. This study aims to determine the origin of pesantren and institutional growth. The method used is the literature study method with a qualitative approach. The results of this study show that the origin of pesantren and the institutional growth of pesantren in Indonesia originated from a simple practice where individuals who mastered Islamic religious knowledge began to teach their knowledge to the surrounding community. Over time, pesantren became an important Islamic educational institution in the history and development of Indonesia. Pesantren have a variety of types, from very traditional to very modern, reflecting the diversity in Islamic education systems and approaches in Indonesia.

Abstract

Implementation of One Roof School Management is one of the government's policies to provide educational services in remote, isolated, and scattered areas. This effort is intended to provide opportunities for the entire community to enjoy education even in areas that are difficult to reach. Using a qualitative descriptive method, research was conducted to obtain an in-depth picture of the implementation of One Roof School management at the Pimpin Small Public Elementary School and Satap Pimpin Middle School. Information was collected using observation techniques, interviews, and document studies with the research instrument being the researcher himself, the results of the analysis obtained were that the implementation of one-roof schooling at SD Negeri Kecil Pimpin and SMP Negeri Satu Atap Pimpin involved a pattern of two managers, careful planning, and collaboration between elementary and middle school teachers. Obstacles faced include a shortage of teachers in junior high schools, teacher qualifications that do not meet standards, administrative staff who are not professional, limited funds, and minimal participation from parents and the community. Based on the conclusions, it is recommended that all stakeholders continue to improve their performance and active participation. Teachers who do not meet the qualification requirements are advised to pursue higher education. The education department has been asked to increase teacher professional development activities, the North Minahasa Regency government needs to pay attention to the placement of teachers and administration, as well as provide additional operational costs for schools in remote areas. The community is also expected to support the implementation of one-roof schools by increasing active participation, especially in efforts to meet school operational needs.

Abstract

The problem of stress often occurs in auditors who work in Public Accountant Firms, especially during a peak season. Several previous studies showed that role stress hurts job outcomes. To overcome this, this research tries to provide a solution and test whether a healthy lifestyle mechanism (healthy lifestyle, vitality, and psychological well-being) can minimize the negative impact of role stress (role ambiguity, role conflict, role overload, and job burnout) to job outcome (job satisfaction, performance, turnover intentions, and organizational commitment). The results of this study indicate that a healthy lifestyle mechanism can minimize the negative impact of role stressors on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. However, this study has not been able to prove that a healthy lifestyle mechanism can reduce the auditor's desire to shift work and improve auditor performance. This study also shows the results that job satisfaction can reduce the auditor's turnover intention and organizational commitment is not a factor that can reduce that intention.

Abstract

Teenagers fulfill social needs by communicating and relating well with other people. One of the media used to be used is Twitter. This research aims to determine the relationship between loneliness and self-disclosure in teenagers who use the K-Pop Roleplayer account on Twitter. The technique used in determining the sample was nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling. The subjects of this research were 100 K-Pop Roleplayer account users on Twitter. Data collection used a loneliness scale adapted from the Revised Loneliness Scale (UCLA Version 3), and a self-disclosure scale adapted from the Revised Self Disclosure (RSDS). The results of this research show that the correlation coefficient value is –0.181 with a significant value of 0.72>0.05. That means loneliness does not have a significant relationship with self-disclosure among teenagers using the K-Pop Roleplayer account on Twitter. This research can provide a reference for teenagers using K-Pop Roleplayer accounts on Twitter to maximize their use of Twitter according to their needs.

Abstract

This study analyzes and explains the effect of counseling guidance, parenting patterns, and school environment on the learning independence of students who experience unfavorable conditions because it is seen that in schools there are still violations of school rules. This is because the counseling guidance is not running optimally. The data obtained were processed using descriptive analysis and quantitative statistical analysis. Quantitative analysis uses multiple regression analysis to determine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable, but before the test is carried out, the validity and reliability tests are carried out first. The results of the regression analysis show that counseling guidance, parenting patterns of parents, and the school environment significantly affect students' learning independence with a positive product-moment correlation, this indicates an increase in counseling guidance, parenting patterns of parents, and the school environment will be followed by an increase in students' learning independence, vice versa. The results of the multiple regression analysis test showed a significant F value, with a correlation of 0.439. This shows that counseling guidance, parenting patterns of parents, and the school environment significantly affect the learning independence of students with a close relationship of 43.9%. Counseling guidance, parenting patterns of parents, and the school environment affect the learning independence of students in real terms, both individually and collectively. This shows that to increase the learning independence of students, it is necessary to increase counseling guidance, improve parenting patterns, and improve the school environment.
