Abstract

Uterine malformations or Mullerian anomalies are anatomical abnormalities found in the uterus, cervix and vagina. This disorder is caused by problems with the development of the Mullerian duct during fetal growth, affecting about 4.3% of infertile women and 3.5% of infertile women. This disorder increases the risk of obstetrics, which leads to a higher incidence of miscarriage, premature birth (ranging from 17.44% to 33.3% in the case of the uterine septum), malpresentation, and a decrease in the live birth rate. Case Presentation : Mrs. 27 years old G2P0A1. The patient comes to the poly for the re-control of her pregnancy, the patient plans the Elective Section of the cesarean section a.i the location of the bond. Her menstrual cycle is regular, BMI is normal, has no history of surgery, has a 4-year history of infertility. The history of dyspareunia is denied, dysmenorrhea or chronic abdominal pain is denied. Obstetric examination was obtained at TFU 30, left back, DJJ: 159 x/i. It feels round, hard and bouncy in the lower right. The inspector's examination found 2 vaginal openings. Intraoperatively born a baby girl 2600 grams A/S 8/9 placenta sticky. An externalization of the uterus appears to bulging the placenta in the corneus sinistra. The placenta is removed manually and nausica sutures are performed in the cornea to overcome uterine hypotonia. Discussion : Anomalies of female genetic organs can be caused by several mechanisms that can be abbreviated as CAFÉ which stands for (Canalization, Agenesis, Fusion, Embryonic rest). Anomalies in the female genetic organs are caused by defects in the lateral and vertical fusion processes of the urogenital sinuses and Muller's ducts. The fusion process (fusion) of the right and left Muller ducts will be completed at 12 weeks of gestation. Meanwhile, the canalization process will be completed at 5 months of gestation. Failure of vertical fusion between the Muller duct and the urogenital sinus will cause disorders of the canalization of the genetical organs. Furthermore, failure to perform lateral fusion will lead to organ duplication. Impaired resorption will result in the formation of a septum. The patient also experiences placental retention. Conclusion: Uterine abnormalities or also known as uterine anomalies can increase the risk of miscarriage, premature birth, and fetal malpresentation. Often undiagnosed for many years, a cesarean section can provide unique diagnostic opportunities, as well as reduce additional risks.

Abstract

Abstract

Dry Eye Disease (DED) is a common ocular disorder characterized by tear film instability, ocular surface inflammation, and visual disturbances that can significantly affect quality of life. Emerging research has highlighted the crucial role of vitamin D in ocular health through its immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and epithelial homeostasis-regulating properties. This comprehensive literature review aims to analyze the role of vitamin D in the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of DED. A systematic search was conducted in databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar using keywords including “vitamin D,” “dry eye disease,” “ocular surface,” and “tear film stability.” The findings indicate that vitamin D deficiency is strongly associated with an increased risk of DED, exacerbation of inflammatory symptoms, and impaired tear film stability. Clinical studies suggest that vitamin D supplementation may improve both subjective and objective DED symptoms, such as enhanced tear break-up time (TBUT) and reduced Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) scores. However, variations in dosage, treatment duration, and study design remain challenges for establishing standardized therapeutic recommendations. This review emphasizes the need for further large-scale randomized clinical trials to confirm the efficacy and safety of vitamin D supplementation in DED management.

Abstract

Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan menerapkan model komunikasi Lasswell yang menganalisis elemen "who, says what, in which channel, to whom, with what effect".

Abstract

The food and beverage (F&B) industry in Indonesia has shown rapid growth, particularly among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that have adapted to digitalization and shifting consumer behavior post-COVID-19. This study examines “The Biscoffery,” a dessert-based MSME that successfully transitioned from a home-based pre-order system in Bekasi to a broader Jakarta market through the adoption of cloud kitchen services. Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, the research analyzes business strategies implemented by The Biscoffery, including SWOT analysis, STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning), business model canvas, and the 7Ps marketing mix. The findings highlight how cloud kitchens offer significant advantages in reducing operational costs, enhancing market reach, and streamlining operations compared to traditional storefronts. However, challenges such as dependency on online food delivery platforms and limited customer interaction remain. The study emphasizes the importance of product innovation, effective social media marketing, and branding as critical factors for sustainable business growth. This research provides practical insights for MSMEs aiming to optimize digital-based business models and leverage cloud kitchen services to expand their presence in competitive culinary markets.

Abstract

Abstract

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality from non-communicable diseases in Indonesia, particularly in Surabaya. The “Pondok Paru Sehat” community service program, initiated by the Faculty of Medicine, Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya (FK UWKS), aims to raise awareness, knowledge, and early detection of COPD through nutrition education and spirometry screening in Dukuh Kupang sub-district. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using the Five Levels of Prevention model, involving 40 participants from both productive age groups and the elderly. The results indicated that 28 participants had an FEV1/FVC ratio of <70%, suggesting undiagnosed airway obstruction. Nutritional status assessment using Body Mass Index (BMI) showed that 30% of participants were underweight, while 20% were overweight. Participant satisfaction reached 92.5%, with the majority considering the education and screening services highly beneficial. The program demonstrates that community-based education combined with lung function screening can enhance awareness and early detection of COPD. This model is recommended for replication in other regions with support from local health cadres, health authorities, and educational institutions.

Abstract

Employee performance is a critical factor in achieving organizational goals, especially in strategic institutions such as the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), which is tasked with maintaining national stability and security. Although the number of civil servants (ASN) at BNPT has increased over the past five years, data shows that the Employee Performance Target (SKP) scores have tended to decline during the 2021-2023 period, indicating the need to identify factors influencing employee performance. This study aims to analyze the direct and indirect effects of competence, motivation, and organizational culture on employee performance, with leadership style as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive and explanatory survey methods conducted at the BNPT, involving 150 employees selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that competence (p-value = 0.607) and motivation (p-value = 0.413) do not directly influence employee performance, while organizational culture has a positive and significant influence on employee performance (p-value = 0.001; t-statistic = 3.345). Leadership style does not moderate the relationship between competence and performance, but significantly moderates the relationship between motivation and employee performance with a p-value of 0.013 and a t-statistic of 2.486. There is no moderating effect of leadership style on the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance. This study contributes to the development of human resource management literature in the strategic public sector and provides practical recommendations for improving employee performance through strengthening organizational culture and optimizing appropriate leadership styles.
