Abstract

Based on the results of observations, it was found that there were different levels of discipline and there were still students who had a low level of discipline and were less disciplined in obeying school regulations at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Sawangan and it was found that several students did not take the exams held by the school. There needs to be treatment that can be carried out by counselors to help alleviate problems faced by students, especially regarding learning discipline. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of cognitive restructuring technique group counseling to improve students' learning discipline at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Sawangan. The type of research used is a pre-experimental quantitative research design with a one-group Pretest-Posttest research design. The sampling technique used in the research was purposive sampling. The research subjects were 6 students from class VIII for the 2022/2023 academic year at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Sawangan. The validity test uses the product moment formula with the help of the SPSS 25 program. Learning discipline is measured using a learning discipline scale which has been tested for validity and reliability. Of the 34 items tested for validity using the product moment formula, 26 items were valid statements. Meanwhile, the reliability test showed a Chronbach alpha score of 0.624. Based on the research conducted, the results of the Wilcoxon table statistical test hypothesis test were obtained, Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.028. Because the value 0.028 < 0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on this research, it can be concluded that cognitive restructuring technique group counseling services are effective in improving learning discipline in students.

Abstract

Self-confidence is important in the process of life to enable individuals to socialize with their living environment when facing life's challenges. Recognizing the importance of self-confidence, it is necessary to have new research and innovation in the field of research and knowledge development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the direction of self-confidence research in the last ten years in Indonesia to identify any new insights. The method used was content analysis. The sample consisted of articles published on Google Scholar and ResearchGate. The data analysis technique involved examining the titles, methods, and research findings. The findings of this study indicated that self-confidence had an impact on personal, academic, and career domains. Research on self-confidence was expected to contribute to future researchers in exploring self-confidence with other psychological aspects using different research methods.

Abstract

This research can provide a contribution to thinking about the scientific discourse of guidance and counseling as well as contribute to the development and continuation of guidance services, especially in helping class VII MTS students to increase student activity in the classroom. The subjects in this research were Guidance and Counseling Teachers and class VII students at MTs Sunan Pandanaran. Meanwhile, the object of this research is the guidance and counseling teacher's efforts to increase student activity in the classroom through group guidance for class VII students at MTs Sunan Pandanaran. The analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research show that the Guidance and Counseling Teacher's efforts to increase student activity in the classroom through group guidance can increase the activity of class VII students at MTs Sunan Pandanaran, namely through the group formation stage, transition stage, implementation stage, and termination stage. This can be seen from the results of analysis of interview data and observations of students who took part in group guidance activities, namely that students became more active in participating in group guidance such as asking, answering and participating, but it appeared that student activity was most difficult in the aspect of self-confidence in expressing opinions.

Abstract

Awareness related to mental health literacy can lead to issues in the form of self-diagnosis, which is when a person diagnoses himself based on literature circulating on the internet, then identifies himself as having a mental condition without confirmation from a professional. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to be able to further examine the phenomenon of self-diagnosis of mental health in the era of mental health literacy using the sytematic literature study method. The systematic literature method is used to collect, identify, and analyze literature that has been found systematically. The results obtained are a correlation between self-diagnosed and mental health literacy, as well as the potential positive impact of self-diagnosed.

Abstract

The TikTok application is an application that is widely downloaded by the public. The problem in this article concerns the excessive use of TikTok media which continuously causes emotional imbalance and affects individual mental health. Emotional imbalance due to the influence of TikTok media is a problem that often occurs among teenagers and even adults. The purpose of this article is to find out how emotional balance in digitalization affects individual mental health. The research method used by the author is literature study which consists of data collection, selection and clarification of data sources, data analysis and compiling reports. The results obtained from the literature study show that digitalization has made social media a daily need for individuals. This need can cause addiction to the user. Excessive use of TikTok media causes anxiety due to social communication, negative content, and negative comments causing the individual's emotional balance to be disturbed due to changes in mood. Emotional balance that is not optimal affects mental health and can result in stress, depression and high anxiety disorders. Excessive use will also result in addiction and have a negative impact on emotional balance, mental and physical health. Every individual needs to maintain and supervise the use of social media, especially TikTok . Individuals can use time management and limit their use of TikTok media to maintain emotional balance.

Abstract

Academic stress is a psychological condition where students feel worried about academic failure. To overcome this, students can develop stress coping, be it problem focused coping or emotional stress coping. This study was conducted to provide an overview of the level of stress coping developed by students as well as the types of stress coping developed. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with a population of Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri University students. The sample used in this research was 300 students. The instrument used in this study is a stress coping scale using the stress coping theory developed by Lazarus. The results show that students have moderate stress coping abilities. The type of stress coping that is most often used by both male and female students in dealing with academic stress is emotional focused coping. The forms of behavior used to overcome academic stress are distancing, confrontative coping, and seeking information support.
