Abstract

The photography industry, particularly photo studios, is undergoing a significant transformation due to the development of digital technology and social media. Generation Z, as a digital generation, interacts with photography in unique ways, making brand community, brand experience and customer engagement increasingly relevant for building strong relationships with photo studios. This study aims to determine and analyze Generation Z's loyalty to photo studios, focusing on the mediating role of customer participation behavior and customer citizenship behavior. This study uses a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the relationship between latent variables. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to Generation Z consumers in Indonesia. The findings show that brand experience and customer engagement significantly increase customer participation and citizenship behavior, which in turn strengthen customer loyalty. However, brand community does not directly influence citizenship behavior or customer loyalty, highlighting the need for a comprehensive approach in building customer loyalty. These results have important implications for photo studios, indicating that creating positive brand experiences and increasing customer engagement are critical to fostering customer loyalty, especially among Generation Z. Photo studios should focus on improving these areas to build a stronger and more loyal customer base.

Abstract

Sport, particularly football, is a field with a vast fan base, where the loyalty and commitment of fans play a crucial role in a team's success. A football team functions much like a brand, and similar to any product or service, fans have specific criteria that drive their support and commitment to their favorite team. This research aims to analyze the factors that shape fan commitment, enabling football teams to better cater to their supporters' expectations. The study specifically examines variables such as Brand Personality, Supporter Commitment, Supporter Trust, and Supporter Satisfaction. The primary objective is to identify the key factors that are essential for building a strong commitment among football fans towards their beloved teams. The research adopts a quantitative approach, targeting a sample size of at least 100 participants. Data was collected through online questionnaires, and the analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via SmartPLS 3.0, assessing both the outer and inner models. The findings reveal that the Brand Personality of the Indonesian National Football Team has a positive and significant impact on Supporter Trust, Supporter Commitment, and Supporter Satisfaction. These results imply that by understanding and enhancing the brand personality, football teams can effectively foster greater trust, commitment, and satisfaction among their fans, leading to a stronger and more loyal supporter base.

Abstract

Dowry is a tradition that has existed for a long time and exists in many cultures around the world, including in Indonesia. Although dowry has symbolic and cultural significance, this tradition can cause several problems, especially related to gender equality. The purpose of this study is to compare the practice of dowry that applies in several countries and to examine the relationship between dowry practices and gender equality issues. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation of various relevant literature, with descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study show that the practice of dowry in several countries has differences where there are countries that practice dowry or dowry given from the woman's to the man's side, or the man's to the woman's side. In addition, there are countries that practice dowry given by the man or woman individually, which is used for the business capital of a new family that is formed. The results of the study also show that the practice of dowry in several countries reflects gender inequality that is still deeply rooted in patriarchal culture. This reduces women's autonomy and strengthens the power imbalance in marital relationships. Despite international efforts such as the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women that seek to address this discrimination. Therefore, it is important to eliminate the practice of dowry that is not in accordance with the principle of gender equality in order to promote a fairer and healthier marriage relationship.

Abstract

One of the many potential benefits of stem cell therapy is that it may enhance men’s vitality by addressing conditions such as erectile dysfunction and hypogonadism. The current comprehensive review and meta-analysis evaluate the efficacy, safety, and mechanisms of stem cell therapy in improving male sexual health. Data from previously published clinical trials, reviews, and preclinical studies indicate that stem cell therapy significantly enhances erectile function, increases testosterone levels, and improves sperm quality. The regenerative potential of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), including their ability to differentiate into various cell types and secrete bioactive molecules, underpins these benefits. Additionally, MSCs modulate the immune response, reducing inflammation and promoting tissue repair. Despite these promising results, current research is limited by heterogeneity among studies, lack of long-term data, and the absence of standardized treatment protocols. Future research can focus on large-scale randomized controlled trials with standardized protocols to validate the long-term efficacy and safety of stem cell therapy. The results of the review support the potential of stem cell therapy as a novel approach in regenerative medicine, offering innovative solutions for men’s health and vitality. Addressing the current limitations and exploring future directions will pave the way for the clinical adoption of stem cell therapy, advancing the treatment options for conditions affecting men’s vitality and improving the quality of life for millions of men worldwide.

Abstract

The process of securitization of anti-child sexual exploitation norms (anti-ESA) carried out by ECPAT Indonesia relies on two hegemonic discourses, namely the global hegemonic discourse on children's rights and the political discourse on state hegemony. Looking at using the Securitization Theory, this study finds that ECPAT Indonesia disseminates the ESA threat to the local community as a securitization audience but without conducting equivalent socialization. This inequality arises due to the securitization model carried out by ECPAT Indonesia which is imposing through state hegemony instead of accommodating differences in norm structures between global and local communities. This argument is supported by using critical discourse analysis that looks at interviews with ECPAT Indonesia and the press releases they issue. In researching this issue, this study finds that ECPAT Indonesia does design their operations by utilizing the two hegemonies that have been mentioned.

Abstract

Crossing the road without crossing facilities is at great risk of traffic conflicts that can lead to congestion and accidents, so the availability of crossing facilities for pedestrians is an important indicator in improving pedestrian safety. This study aims to provide recommendations for the need for road crossing facilities that are in accordance with current conditions and the next 5 to 10 years in an effort to improve pedestrian safety. The method used is the LOS (Level Of Service) approach to determine traffic performance with calculations based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2023), the PLOS (Pedestrian Level Of Service) approach to assess the performance of pedestrian facilities and to determine the appropriate type of crossing based on the guidelines of the Directorate General of Binamarga 2023 carried out by surveying traffic volume and crossing volume. The results showed that the study location has a LOS C value for current conditions and LOS E in the next 5 to 10 years. As for the PLOS value at the study site, it gets a score of F in the part that does not have pedestrian space, and a score of A in the part that has a pedestrian path. This study provides recommendations that there is a need for road crossing facilities in the form of "pelican with protection" for current conditions and "Pedestrian Bridge" for the next 5 and 10 years

Abstract

Urbanization and mobility of the population have increased interest in efficient and convenient transportation systems, especially for trips from Cirebon to Jakarta via the Cipali toll road. Public transportation modes that can be used from Cirebon to Jakarta include buses, travel and trains. This study reviews public transportation buses and travel, focusing on the characteristics and probability of mode selection by travelers. The crucial factors studied are cost, travel time, and access time. Primary data was obtained from questionnaires using the stated preference method and secondary data obtained from related sources. The method used is linear regression modeling and binomial logit difference, which is obtained from data on travel cost (X1), travel time (X2), and travel access time (X3), which is tested using SPSS software with the regression equation obtained is Y = 2.386 + 0.251 X1.3 + X2 + 0.301 X1.4 + 0.497 X3.1. with a travel cost of Rp. 110,000 and with a travel time of 4 hours and 30 minutes, travelers prefer the bus mode (64.2%) with the most implicative attribute is the cost of travel, then the percentage value calculated using probability calculations and binomial models logits, the difference is (99.9%) choosing the bus and (0.1%) choosing travel. If the trevel wants to intensify the opportunity to choose the mode used by travelers with a percentage above 50%, then travel must reduce the fare at least Rp. 25,000 from the bus fare.

Abstract

Research has been conducted on the production and characterization of activated charcoal of palm kernel shells (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) by microwave. This study aims to determine the efficiency of charcoal production and its quality after microwave activation so that the test results can provide information that palm kernel shells can be utilized as raw material for making briquettes as an alternative fuel. The experimental stages include drying of palm kernel shells, carbonization with a carbonization reactor, grinding, sieving with 70 mesh and 80 mesh sieves in stages, and activation with microwave. Charcoal characterization includes moisture content, ash content, volatile matter, fixed carbon, and calorific value. The results showed that the production efficiency of the carbonization reactor was 62.2%, the charcoal formation rate was 4.4444 kg/hour, and the material requirement rate was 7.1429 kg/hour. Charcoal can be activated by microwave at 150 watts for 2 minutes, 3 minutes, and 4 minutes. Activated charcoal decreased in moisture content from 5.900% to 4.4834%, decreased volatile matter from 19.1357% to 14.4250%, and increased ash content from 6.1234% to 7.5697%. Fix carbon increased from 68.8409% to 73.5219%, and the calorific value of charcoal increased significantly from 5400.00 cal/gr to 7532.27 cal/gr. It can be concluded that microwave-activated charcoal meets the quality requirements as an ingredient for making briquettes as an alternative fuel. The implication of this research is the new finding that microwaved-activated palm kernel shell charcoal has potential as a briquette-making material with better quality than charcoal without activation.
