Abstract

Climate change has a major impact on human health, food security, and economic development, so it is necessary to improve the ability to adapt to the impacts of climate change and a series of activities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as a form of mitigation of the impacts of climate change. The climate change control effort launched by the government is to encourage multi-stakeholder cooperation to strengthen climate change adaptation and mitigation capacity at the community-based site level through the implementation of the Climate Village Program (ProKlim). This writing aims to determine the application of environmental management education in potential organic plant cultivation activities in East Sidomulyo Village Especially Integrated Women Group (KWT) in Sidomulyo Timur. The method used in this service is a participatory method, which involves the community as a subject in development. The provision of seed houses to help the community and integrated women's groups in East Sidomulyo Village in organic plant cultivation activities provides many benefits from various economic, health, socio-cultural aspects of the community, and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Abstract Insektarium is one of the solutions in overcoming the limitations of learning activities in the classroom. Through insektarium teachers and students can learn information about insects. This service aims to carry out training in making insektariums at SMA N 2 Muaro Jambi. The methods used include material delivery, discussion, and practice. The results showed that the training participants were able to make an insektarium by following the work procedures that had been explained. Thus, the service activities have fulfilled the objectives and achieved the required solutions. It is hoped that activities like this will be carried out in other places, as an effort to maximize learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The use of inorganic fertilizers and synthetic pesticides is increasingly varied in type and dosage, but increasing the dosage of fertilizer and pesticides used is not able to stimulate rice growth, in fact increasing the dosage of inorganic fertilizer further reduces rice production yields. To reduce the use of chemicals in plant cultivation, it can even be done using a low external input sustainable agriculture (LEISA) agricultural system. The LEISA concept prioritizes the use of local resources as raw materials for the development of agricultural inputs. This service program aims to assist the community in implementing LEISA-based environmentally friendly agriculture in lowland rice farming in Setiris Village, Maro Sebo District. The approach method used is counseling and training, as well as mentoring and community empowerment (farmer groups). The results of this service activity show that the people involved can adopt and implement it on their farming land and increase productivity significantly.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to (1) increase teachers' understanding of the forms of bullying in elementary schools and (2) increase teachers' ability to identify and prevent bullying behavior in elementary schools. Achieving these goals is carried out through training using lecture methods, questions and answers, demonstrations and exercises (tutorials). The activity began with a focus group discussion (FGD) activity which was attended by various parties. After the training activities, monitoring or evaluation is carried out by the activity implementation team to monitor and assist teachers in completing the task of identifying and preventing bullying in elementary schools. The results of the service show that the community service program is running well and smoothly. This program is able to provide teachers with an understanding of how to identify forms of bullying and how to take preventative action. The suggestions that can be made from the results of this community service program are that elementary school teachers are expected to have motivation and always cultivate a caring attitude towards the students' learning environment. Education practitioners are expected to always be able to assist elementary school teachers in activities related to the learning process.

Abstract

To determine the success of the education program, high-quality test instruments are necessary, namely those that are valid, reliable, have a sufficiently good level of difficulty, and can differentiate between the learning outcomes of proficient and non-proficient students. Ideally, these questions should be prepared by economics teachers. In reality, however, many teachers generally do not know how to prepare good questions. This is closely related to teachers' activities, which have been primarily focused on meeting learning targets alone. This is the source of the problem because teachers are rarely given the opportunity to prepare high-quality questions. To address this issue, this Professional Development Program (PPM) is implemented. The main target of the activity is teachers from Vocational High School 6 in Jambi City, with a total of 20 participants. The expected outcome of the training is that participants can compose questions that meet quality standards. The training results show that the average knowledge score of participants regarding item analysis before the training is 61.50, and after the training, it increases to an average score of 80. This indicates an increase in knowledge scores by 30.08%. In general, participants are now able to manually conduct item analysis effectively, but some still face difficulties in analyzing question validity, reliability, and distractor analysis.
