Journal of Community Engagement Research for Sustainability focuses on community empowerment as the result of community services activities. The activities are including the implementation of science development and applied technology to empower society and realize sustainable development. The journal highlights the existing issues that happened in various fields to empower the community. The issues including, but not limited to, increasing the community capacity, applying appropriate technology, applying research result in the community, improving the people knowledge, and also the innovation in the purpose to empower people.

<![CDATA[Covid-19 is caused by the (SARS-CoV-2) which attacks the respiratory system. WHO has declared Covid-19 a pandemic. Kukerta is a form of community service activity. One type of Kukerta during this pandemic is the Covid19 volunteer Kukerta. In the COVID-19 volunteer Kukerta activity held in Simpang Kanan District, the first step taken by Kukerta students was to analyze the situation in the field. The purpose of the volunteer work program is to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the Simpang Kanan district by educating the public about the dangers of Covid-19. The steps of the activities carried out are: (1) Public education about the New Normal; and (2) Covid-19 prevention program. The achievement measurement tool used is in the form of outputs that have been done in the form of logbooks, youtube, and social media publications. The results of the activity were the implementation of several programs such as spraying disinfectants, collecting data on people under monitoring, distributing masks, making and distributing Hand Sanitizers, socializing the New Normal, providing hand washing facilities, demonstrations on making Hand Sanitizer and appropriate technology.]]>

<![CDATA[ONSPOT is a business owned by students of the Department of Agricultural Product Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. This business is engaged in the contemporary beverage with the main ingredients of functional food yogurt and kefir. ONSPOT's business development received funding for activities through the University Student Entrepreneur Competition (KMP) activity in 2020 for the business development category. It is believed that this business prospect is quite promising in the future considering that ONSPOT products carry contemporary beverage products containing good bacteria that have an impact on health and have a good taste. However, the great potential that ONSPOT has to develop its products is not followed by an optimal marketing and branding process, where the marketing process is still carried out through communication from one person to another and through Instagram. The branding process is still constrained by minimal information. This causes the limitations of ONSPOT to be widely known by the public. This potential economy is aimed improving the economics welfare of rural society through the development of economic business. Need to maximaze the role of BUMDes for increased original local government revenue. The aims of community service are to help set up the BUMDes in operation and financial reporting, strengthening the economy of the village and welfare of rural communities. The implementation of community services uses a technique of assisting the application of the BUMDes business unit management system on the Web. <![CDATA[In commemoration of world mangrove day, the real working lecture team integrated abdimas University of Riau conducted mangrove extension and planting. This extension was conducted on July 26, 2021 located in Merambai River Teluk Belitung, Belitung Bay Village, Merbau Subdistrict, Meranti Islands Regency. This activity aims to provide knowledge and understanding to children about the important role of mangrove forests for human life. The main target of this extension activity is children educated at dawn in the village. The method used in this extension method is a method of lectures, and discussions, visits to mangrove planting sites. The lecture method is used to convey information about mangroves. <![CDATA[In this case in accordance with the times that face the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 where the learning process no longer depends on guidebooks, but everything can be known by accessing internet media. In the conditions of the Covid 19 Pandemic, teacher learning processes can use internet-based e-learning methods. E-learning is a learning method that utilizes web-based information technology (IT) that can be accessed remotely so that learning is not only glued in the classroom and in certain hours but can still be done anytime and anywhere. Tualang District of Siak Regency has 4 SMAN spread in Tualang District of Siak Regency. Based on the results of observations, State High School Teachers in Tualang District of Siak Regency still do not use the Internet to the maximum in the learning process. Teachers use limited media and learning resources. This is due to lack of information and lack of facilitation in the development of teacher competence in the use of E-Learning-based internet. Based on these conditions, the use of internet based E-Learning is still not optimal. Devotional activities are held on September 1-4, 2021. This devotional activity is carried out with three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the final stage. With this devotional activity, it is expected that State High School teachers in Tualang District of Siak Regency can improve teacher competence in the use of E-Learning-based Internet, especially Google Classroom, Google Meet and Zoom Meeting So that the teacher can use it well in the learning process.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this devotion is to provide understanding and experience about the writing of PTK to teachers of SMPN Tualang District siak. It is expected that with this devotion all junior high school teachers can carry out the writing of PTK as a scientific work of teachers later. The target of this devotion is teachers who are constrained by his promotion because of the absence of research as his scientific work. It is concluded that, there are still many teachers who do not understand the nature of this Class Action Research (PTK). This is because generally teachers are not used to writing PTK, even when teachers who have followed PLPG are indeed given PTK materials, but the allocation provided does not allow them to be able to master about PTK. One of the things that can be done by teachers is to imitate the PTK report that has been made by previous teachers. So impressed just coffee paste. The enthusiasm of Tualang Junior High School teachers in participating in the devotional activities is quite high, question after question presented to the source is quite active and subject to the targets of the PTK itself. At the initial and to-end activities for 4 days (32 hours) most of them understand and the motivation to produce the product is quite high. When the implementation of legiatan there is no understanding, and the earnestness of irtu is seen from time to time in both the discussion of the group and the classic. <![CDATA[In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, learning systems that still use paper based or face to face learning must be transformed into learning activities based on information and communication technology (ICT). A teacher must be able to use ICT as a tool to make the learning process more interesting, effective and efficient. The purpose of this activity is to provide technical guidance for teachers of the Bangkinang Cactus Cluster Elementary School - Kampar Regency in the form of introducing ICT concepts in schools, using interactive learning applications, and designing active learning scenarios through online learning according to the subjects taught. The Online-Based Active Learning Design Training activity was held in Kampar Regency. The teachers who are members of the Cactus Cluster consist of teachers from 6 elementary schools. The implementation stage begins with a pretest, which aims to determine the participants' initial knowledge. This activity fosters motivation for teachers to design classroom learning activities using active learning methods. Teachers obtain information and are also guided in designing active learning scenarios, designing Productive, Imaginative and open-ended questions and also designing worksheets and assessment sheets.]]>

<![CDATA[Belimbing Island Tourism Village is one of the tourist attractions located in kuok district kampar regency. Belimbing Island Tourism Village has great potential as a tourist attraction because of its natural cultural and indigenous values. Preserving and developing culture is a step that must be taken in order to maintain its cultural sustainability and can be felt by all people because cultural values are inseparable from the role of human beings as cultural beings who inherit the culture. This research aims to empower and develop the potential in Kuok Subdistrict, Kampar. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observations and interviews. Analysis is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are empowering and developing tourism potential in Belimbing Island is done by preserving it by studying the culture of Kuok Village through community leaders, adding to the beauty of the traditional home environment, and following community cultural activities that strengthen the sense of brotherhood.]]>

<![CDATA[In the 4.0 revolution era, teachers are required to have competencies and abilities that are in accordance with the demands of the times. Learning is not limited to face-to-face meetings between teachers and students in the classroom. The teaching and learning process can be done anywhere and anytime using the internet. This activity aims to improve teacher competence in using the internet based on the E-Learning method. This activity is carried out in 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The preparatory stage is carried out by collecting data on elementary school teachers in Tualang District, making observations, giving permission to the training site, preparing the place and training materials. The implementation stage is carried out in two stages, namely the introduction of E-Learning-based learning with demonstration, discussion and question and answer methods and practicing E-Learning-based online learning. The results of the service activities show an increase in teacher competence in using the internet based on E-Learning. The evaluation and follow-up stages are carried out by evaluating the organizers and evaluating the participants. The training participants who took part in this activity were quite enthusiastic about participating in the material and conducting simulations. It is expected that participants who take part in training activities can manage learning using the internet based on the E-Learning method.]]>

<![CDATA[Community service activities were carried out for community groups in RT 03 RW 08 Umban Sari Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City. This needs to be socialized because the ITE Law has taken many victims, especially the lower class people who do not understand the implementation of the ITE Law. In addition, because social media has been used by the average community, not only young people but parents have become important things. To avoid the misuse and application of the ITE Law, it is necessary to provide assistance and socialization to the community. This activity was chaired by Dr. Mohd. Yusuf DM, M.H, Ph.D has competence in the field of Criminal Law from the Faculty of Law and consists of Roki Hardianto, M.Kom competence in Information Technology from the Faculty of Computer Science. The planned outputs are scientific articles published in national journals and teaching modules from this activity.]]>
