PAKDEMAS : Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dengan EISSN 2809-7602 dan PISSN 2809-6614 merupakan jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Ratu Samban berisi hasil-hasil kegiatan pengabdian dan pemberdayaan masyarakat berupa penerapan berbagai bidang ilmu diantaranya pertanian, kesehatan, pendidikan, teknik, sosial humaniora, ekonomi dan komputer. PAKDEMAS : Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat diterbitkan setahun 3 kali terbit di bulan (April, Agustus dan Desember). PAKDEMAS : Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Ratu Samban adalah peer-reviewed journal yang memuat artikel-artikel ilmiah dari berbagai disiplin ilmu yang diadopsi dalam berbagai aktivitas pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan hasil penelitian terapan lainnya. Artikel-artikel yang dipublikasikan di PAKDEMAS meliputi hasil-hasil penerapan penelitian ilmiah asli, artikel ulasan ilmiah yang bersifat baru, atau komentar atau kritik terhadap tulisan yang ada dimuat di PAKDEMAS maupun dalam terbitan berkala ilmiah lainnya. Abstract

The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has great potential to improve the quality of learning. This community service aims to socialise and train teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 07 Sukaraja in making AI-based teaching materials. The method in this service goes through several stages, namely 1) Preparation and Planning, 2) Socialisation and Training, 3) Implementation and Assistance. As a result of this service activity, it is hoped that teachers can utilise AI technology to create teaching materials that are more interactive and effective, so as to increase student motivation and learning outcomes

Abstract

The gowok plant (Syzygium polycephalum) is still a member of the guava tribe (Myrtaceae) which is also one of the endemic plants in Indonesia. Kupa fruit has red to purple skin. Anthocyanin is a content contained in kupa fruit skin. Pigments belonging to the flavonoid class which play a role in producing the red, blue and purple colors in many flowers and fruit are called anthocyanins. Therefore, anthocyanins have potential as natural dyes and as antioxidants. The aim of this research is to educate the people of Sidoluhur Village about the properties, formulation and method of making kupa fruit jelly candy. The method used in this counseling is the group method by educating and asking questions through questionnaires and group discussions. The results obtained based on the pre-test were as follows: 73% of the audience did not know about kupa fruit, 93% of the audience did not know about the properties of kupa fruit, 100% of the audience did not know the benefits of kupa fruit as an antioxidant and did not know how to make jelly candy. The results of the herdonic test for Kupa fruit jelly candy are as follows: 87% of the audience likes the texture of Kupa jelly candy, 83% of the audience likes the taste of Kupa jelly candy, 90% of the audience likes the aroma of Kupa jelly candy, and 100% of the audience likes the color of Kupa jelly candy. From the results of the questionnaire before the counseling, there were still many audiences who did not know about kupa fruit and the benefits of kupa fruit, and the entire audience did not know and had never made kupa jelly candy. In the hedonic test or taste test, the audience liked the formulation that we made for the texture, taste, aroma and color of the kupa jelly candy.

Abstract

The Damang Saiyo farmer group operates in food crop and vegetable farming. Community service activities in the Damang Saiyo farmer group are conducted using training and application of organic fertilizer from mycorrhizal fungi and photosynthetic bacteria to overcome farmers' problems regarding fertilizer scarcity so that fertilizer is available for plants. One of the technologies applied is mycorrhizal fungi and photosynthetic bacteria. (PSB). Mycorrhizal fungi are a type of biological fertilizer with a mutualistic symbiotic relationship with plant roots, which is beneficial for plants so that plant growth is good. At the same time, photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) are autotrophic bacteria that can photosynthesize and have pigments called bacteriophages a or b. can produce red, green, and purple pigments to capture solar energy as fuel for photosynthesis. The objectives of this community service activity are as follows: (1). Providing information on how to apply Organic fertilizers/biological mycorrhizal fungi and photosynthetic bacteria to vegetable plants, (2). Increase farmers' insight into using biofertilizers for mycorrhizal fungi and photosynthetic bacteria to increase farmers' income. This community service activity occurred at Jorong Balai Kenagarian Batu Balang, Harau District, from June to October 2023. The results of the actions show that the community has been able to make organic/biological fertilizer for mycorrhizal fungi and photosynthetic bacteria and has been able to apply it generously to vegetable plants.

Abstract

Effective reference management is a crucial component in academic writing to ensure the accuracy and completeness of citations. However, many students at STIKES AL-FATAH Bengkulu face challenges in managing references, such as citation format errors and difficulties organizing source materials. To address these issues, this community service activity aims to provide training on the use of Mendeley as a reference management tool for students. We conducted the training using a participatory approach, which included lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice. We gave the participants, consisting of 30 students, an understanding of the basics of using Mendeley, including installation, library management, creating reference folders, and applying automatic citation formats in Microsoft Word. The participants themselves provided the computers for this one-day activity at the STIKES AL-FATAH Bengkulu campus. The results of the program showed that more than 90% of participants successfully mastered the basic skills of using Mendeley, as evidenced by their ability to compile bibliographies in the correct format. Additionally, most participants provided positive feedback on the training, stating that using Mendeley made the process of academic writing significantly easier for them.

Abstract

Program yang akan dikerjakan oleh peserta Kukerta-PPM dibuat berdasarkan potensi sampah botol plastik diwilayah mitra, dan hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Instansi mitra yaitu kecamatan Sungai serut. Permasalahan yang akan diselesaikan dalam program ini adalah bagaimana memberikan pendalaman informasi dan keterampilan masyarakat terkait keuntungan Melalui Pemanfaatan Sampah Plastik Menjadi Barang Estetis Ekonomis Berupa Flower Vase. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan masyarakat mampu memanfaatkan sampah plastik menjadi sebuah kerajinan tangan yang bernilai estetis ekonomis sebagai upaya mengurangi sampah yang ada di lingkungan pemukiman dan menambah penghasilan dari kerajinan tangan tersebut. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui 4 tahap. Tahap pertama adalah identifikasi masalah di lapangan dan pendataan warga sasaran. Tahap kedua sosialisasi tentang pemilahan sampah dan pengolahan sampah. Sosialisasi dilakukan dengan pemberian materi dan bimbingan teknis pemilahan dan pengolahan sampah. Tahap ketiga adalah praktek pengolahan sampah menjadi berbagai produk kerajinan seprti pot bunga. Tahap keempat pelatihan pemasaran produk yang sudah dihasilkan.
