The development of information currently circulating requires sorting and selecting actions for all information obtained to prevent hoax information. One of the people who must play a role is parents by providing an understanding of the importance of media literacy. This research aims to find out 1) the methods used by parents in supervising their children's use of gadgets and social media, and 2) the role of parents in carrying out media literacy in children so that they can minimize the negative impact usage of gadgets and social media. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews with three informants who already have children in their teens, and each owns a cellular phone. The analysis uses interpersonal communication theory by DeVito, He highlights the importance of effective communication in relationship development, emphasizing that it occurs within specific cultural, social, and environmental contexts. The results were processed by reducing the data, presenting the data, and verifying the data. The research results found that parents' actions towards children in monitoring the use of cellphones and social media are not an act of distrust towards children, but rather an effort to provide literacy to children about the impact of incorrect information.

The study utilized the literature review method by reviewing scientific journals, which was accomplished by criticizing, synthesizing, and summarizing the selected data. The results showed that during the Covid-19 pandemic, radical group ideologues spread propaganda via the internet and succeeded in increasing the radicalism sympathize and the number of lone wolves. The radical groups have extraordinary mass communication patterns. They spread radical ideology subtly and greatly influenced the masses. The pattern of intrapersonal communication arises, specifically the internalization of values based on learning, observation, and self-understanding. The radicalism process via the internet is effective media due to its ease, cheapness, and massive and broad spectrum. Straightforward access to radical content found on the internet and social media has led to the emergence of a lone wolf, a person who participates in radicalization by independent process and is not affiliated with any radical groups. This research contributes to completing data on radicalism issues by providing data support in developing strategies to prevent the spread of cyber radicalism.

Advertising delivers rise to a dominating ideology. Many advertisements tend to designate women as subordinate and raise the men's dominance assumption. Numerous advertisements visualize male dominance over women. This study uses Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic analysis to examine the shift in the concept of male masculinity in advertisements. The research method utilized is semiotics with a qualitative approach. Data collection operated observation and documentation. The results revealed that the markers in the ABC ketchup advertisement version of "Kecap ABC Help True Husbands Respect Wives" illustrate the dynamics of domestic life among husband-and-wife characters. In contrast, the signs reflect patriarchal values, masculinity from an out-of-date perspective, and modern masculinity. The shift in the concept of masculinity contained in this advertisement is a change from the concept of masculinity in the out-of-date perspective to the modern concept of masculinity depicted through the figure of the husband, where male characteristics are dominant, selfish, and only concerned with work shift to male characteristics who are considerate, sensitive, and willing to do household chores that were previously identical to women.

Women's beauty and physical perfection are the main points for presenting their figures in mass media. Women are considered the most effective means of connecting audience interaction in persuading. Cosmopolitan is a media that often presents female public figures on its magazine cover. Cosmopolitan is here to create and transform brands into authentic conversation destinations about important things to the audience. Cosmopolitan predominantly uses foreign model covers. However, in July and August 2022, Cosmopolitan presented covers with photos of female singers, namely Agnez Mo and Isyana. Both are female singers whose abilities are recognized in Indonesia. The digital cover was studied using a descriptive qualitative approach with Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotics as an analytical tool. The results show that the representation of modern women presented by Cosmopolitan is a simple appearance without removing other important elements in fashion. Among them are comfort and an elegant and classy impression. The clothes used represent the identity of public figures in the eyes of the public. In addition, it brings innovation and becomes a dialogue regarding changes in how modern women think and behave. Modern women must understand the importance of being wise on social media, being themselves, and being inspired through their work. These three things are realized as a result of a healthy mentality.

This research aims to explain the pattern of the Aisyiyah Da'wah Movement in Southeast Sulawesi and how Aisyiyah's strategy manages opportunities and mobilizes her strength to realize the ideals of its da'wah movement. This research data was obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. In-depth interviews were conducted with female Muhammadiyah figures in Southeast Sulawesi. Observations were used to observe the da'wah activities female Muhammadiyah figures carried out. All data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman paradigm. Based on the data and analysis carried out, the following conclusions were obtained: Aisyiyah's da'wah movement was carried out in two patterns, namely: (1). Da'wah in the form of tabligh, namely transmitting Islamic teachings verbally (lectures) both offline and online and through writing in the form of distributing brochures, magazines containing religious understanding from a Muhammadiyah perspective. In its implementation, tabligh in the form of recitation is mainly carried out in the internal environment. In contrast, tabligh, in the sense of the involvement of Aisyiyah figures in providing recitations in mosques and majlis taklim, has not been touched by Aisyiyah. (b) Da'wah bi al-hal, namely an approach that integrates da'wah with social and humanitarian action. The phenomenon can be seen in Aisyiyah's active involvement in tackling TB and the Covid-19 outbreak. Aisyiyah also integrates da'wah into the learning system in the schools and universities she owns. The Southeast Sulawesi Aisyiyah da'wah movement through educational institutions is quite progressive.

The Hajj worship in 2022 is the first post-pandemic time for journalists outside Saudi Arabia to report on the Hajj process. This research discusses Islamic media's coverage strategy, which assigns journalists to Saudi Arabia to cover the Hajj. The research utilized a qualitative method with data sources based on interviews with journalists from Republika media, tv Muhammadiyah (tvMu), and NU Online. The research findings reveal that Indonesian journalists can merely cover the Hajj Media Centre of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. Another limitation is the prohibition of Saudi Arabian authorities from taking pictures with professional cameras, so journalists employ smartphones to take photos and videos. Regarding news themes, Republika highlighted the importance of health protocols for Indonesian pilgrims. At the same time, NU Online and tvMu reported on religious principles addresed to their respective organizations' perspectives. Primary news sources included pilgrimage officers in Saudi Arabia and Indonesian authorities. In particular, tvMu and NU Online correspondingly interviewed news sources from their respective organizations.

The Film 'Moxie' raises the issue of gender inequality between men and women. This film depicts teenage girls who dare to rebel against the inequality of androcentrism towards women and fight for gender equality in their school, which is still biased towards male norms. This research question concerns the critical discourse on the inequality of androcentrism between men and women in the Film 'Moxie'. What are the subject and object of the story? Betty Friedan's feminist theory uses the concept of androgyny as a reference because of the similarity in roles between men and women. Sara Mills' critical discourse analysis research method focuses on how women are presented in the text and divided based on the subject-object of the story and the viewer's position related to the issue of androcentrism inequality: critical research paradigm and qualitative descriptive approach. The results of these findings are, first, the inequality of androcentrism between men and women in this film, namely the presence of Misogyny, namely hatred and dislike of women, negative stereotypes, and double standards. Second, in the Film 'Moxie', the subject position of the story is Vivian, and the object position of the story is Vivian's female and male friends at Rockport High School and Principal Shelly. The viewer is positioned as the woman. Androcentrism means male-centered. Androcentrism refers to the pattern that everything related to men is the general guideline, while everything related to women is only an exception. The theoretical implications of this research strengthen the concept of androgyny and criticize the inequality of androcentrism for showing the distribution of equal roles in masculine and feminine characters simultaneously at various levels of life.
