Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a vital need in the world of education. SMAN 1 Ulu Musi faces the problem of suboptimal network infrastructure, particularly related to internet access and bandwidth management. The existing network is only a limited LAN without an internet connection. This study aims to design and implement a MikroTik-based computer network at SMAN 1 Ulu Musi to improve the quality of network services, perform fair bandwidth management, and support learning activities that utilize information technology. The method used is the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) which includes the stages of analysis, design, prototype simulation, implementation, monitoring, and management. The system implementation uses a MikroTik RB941 router connected to a 4G modem as the internet source. The implementation of the Mikrotik-based network succeeded in improving the stability and efficiency of internet access at SMAN 1 Ulu Musi. Before the implementation of the simple queue bandwidth, each client obtained 60 MBPS; after the simple queue was implemented to distribute bandwidth evenly, each client received a maximum allocation of 4 MBPS. QoS testing results showed good network performance: throughput of 0.6 KBPS, average delay of 0.866 seconds, jitter of 0.25 seconds, and packet loss of 0%. All client devices could connect and access the internet stably without significant disruptions. The implementation of a MikroTik-based computer network proved effective in improving the quality of network services at SMAN 1 Ulu Musi. Abstract

The third trimester of pregnancy is a critical period marked by various physiological changes, such as uterine enlargement, increased urinary frequency, back pain, and sleep disturbances. One of the most common sleep disturbances is insomnia, which is influenced by anxiety, changes in body posture, and psychological stress leading up to childbirth. According to WHO data, the global prevalence of insomnia among pregnant women reaches 41.8%, and in Indonesia, 75% of pregnant women experience a decline in sleep quality. This study aims to determine the effect of prenatal exercise on sleep quality among third-trimester pregnant women at the Ida Laina Maternity Clinic in Bengkulu City. It is a pre-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test, single-group design, using a questionnaire and an observation sheet as measurement tools. Based on the results of statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, it was found that 18 (100%) pregnant women experienced sleep disturbances before participating in prenatal exercise, and 13 (72.2%) pregnant women experienced improved sleep quality after participating in prenatal exercise (negative ranks), 5 pregnant women showed no change (ties), and no pregnant women experienced a decrease in sleep quality (positive ranks = 0). A p-value of 0.000 indicates that there is a statistically significant difference in sleep quality before and after prenatal exercise. Thus, it can be concluded that prenatal exercise has a significant effect on improving sleep quality in pregnant women in the third trimester. The results of this study can be used as a basis for designing more effective educational or counseling programs on the benefits of prenatal exercise.

Abstract

Beef is a highly nutritious food source and is essential for fulfilling human nutritional needs. Good-quality meat can be obtained in traditional markets with hygienic conditions and minimal microbial contamination. Inadequate sanitation can trigger various diseases; therefore, proper sanitation practices in traditional markets are crucial as preventive and monitoring measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in the community. Serdang Bedagai Regency is one of the regencies in North Sumatra whose main source of animal protein comes from beef. There are several traditional markets in this regency, such as Sei Rampah Public Market, Bedagai Market, and Bengkel Market. These three locations are the centers of beef sales in Serdang Bedagai Regency. This study aims to analyze microbial contamination in beef sold in several traditional markets in Serdang Bedagai Regency. The study used a descriptive method to determine bacterial contamination in beef. Research parameters included observation of Total Plate Count (TPC) and microbial contamination analysis, including E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Salmonella spp. contamination. The results showed the highest TPC at SR3 with 2 × 10⁷ CFU/g, the highest E. coli contamination at TB2 with 78 × 10³ CFU/g, the highest Staphylococcus aureus contamination at SR3 with 378 × 10² CFU/g, and only the SR3 sample was positive for Salmonella spp. contamination. Based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) No. 7388-2009 on the maximum limit of microbial contamination in food, the test results for TPC, E. coli, and Staphylococcus aureus contamination exceeded the threshold, and one sample was found to contain Salmonella spp.

Abstract

Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that requires long-term management, one of which is medication adherence to maintain controlled blood glucose levels. Non-adherence to antidiabetic medication may lead to uncontrolled blood glucose levels and increase the risk of complications. This study aims to determine a correlation between medication adherence and blood glucose levels in patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus at Sawah Lebar Health Center, Bengkulu City in 2025. This study employed a quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. Medication adherence was measured using the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale-8 (MMAS-8) questionnaire, while blood glucose levels were measured through Random Blood Glucose (RBG) examination using a glucometer. The population of this study consisted of all patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus receiving treatment at Sawah Lebar Health Center, with a total sample of 49 respondents. The results showed that most respondents had a moderate level of medication adherence, accounting for 21 respondents (42.9%). Based on the results of random blood glucose examinations, the majority of respondents had abnormal (high) blood glucose levels, totaling 35 respondents (71.4%). The statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant correlation between medication adherence and blood glucose levels among patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus at Sawah Lebar Health Center, Bengkulu City in 2025. Abstract

Uric acid, commonly known as gouty arthritis, is the end product of purine metabolism, which is a component of nucleic acids found in the cell nucleus. Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health for 2022 shows an increase in gout cases from 72,675 in 2021 to 102,995 in 2022. At the Jembatan Kecil Community Health Center in Bengkulu City, the number of elderly people suffering from uric acid was recorded at 80 in 2025. The incidence of gout is influenced by various factors such as physical activity, purine intake, and genetic history. This study aims to identify the factors influencing the incidence of gout among the elderly at the Jembatan Kecil Community Health Center in Bengkulu City in 2025. The method used in this study was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of all elderly individuals visiting the Jembatan Kecil Community Health Center in Bengkulu City, with a sample size of 107 respondents. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The results of the univariate analysis showed that the majority of respondents (64.5%) had low physical activity levels; a portion of respondents had low and moderate purine intake (35.5% each); the majority of respondents (51.4%) had a family history of gout; and the majority of respondents (51.4%) had elevated uric acid levels. The results of the bivariate Chi-square test analysis indicate that there is a significant association between physical activity and the incidence of gout (p = 0.000), a significant association between purine intake and the incidence of gout (p = 0.000), and a significant association between family history and the incidence of gout in the elderly (p = 0.000). It is hoped that the elderly can maintain a healthy diet and increase their physical activity to prevent an increase in uric acid levels

Abstract

Leprosy, commonly referred to as Hansen’s disease, remains a significant public health problem in several developing countries, including Indonesia, despite the widespread implementation of multidrug therapy (MDT). Conventional transmission models that primarily emphasize human-to-human contact are insufficient to fully explain the complex epidemiological patterns observed in endemic regions, such as persistent clustering and cases without known contact history. This study aims to comprehensively review current scientific evidence on leprosy transmission from a One Health perspective by integrating human, environmental, and animal factors. A literature review approach was conducted by searching scientific databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, for articles published between 2010 and 2025. Relevant studies were analyzed using a thematic approach based on the main components of One Health. The findings indicate that, in addition to human-to-human transmission, Mycobacterium leprae may persist in environmental reservoirs such as soil and water, and zoonotic transmission has been confirmed in certain regions. inang factors, including immune response, socioeconomic conditions, and living density, also play a critical role in disease susceptibility. In Indonesia, the uneven distribution of cases and the limited number of studies addressing environmental and animal aspects highlight important research gaps. In conclusion, the One Health approach provides a more comprehensive framework for understanding leprosy transmission, and its integration into research and control strategies is essential to support more effective and sustainable elimination efforts.

Abstract

This study discusses the acceleration of the growth of Arabica coffee biomass (Coffea arabica L.) in the pre-nursery phase through endophytic bacterial suspension immersion and application of coffee grounds biochar. The research was conducted in Hamlet 3 of Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra in March-May 2025. The method used was a factorial Group Random Design (RAK) with two factors, namely the soaking time of endophytic bacteria (0, 7, 8, and 9 hours) and the dose of coffee grounds biochar (0, 20, 40, and 60 grams). The results showed that the soaking treatment of endophytic bacteria suspension for 9 hours and the application of coffee grounds biochar gave the best results on the parameters of plant height growth and the number of Arabica coffee seedling leaves in the pre nursery phase. The combination of these two treatments provides a significant increase in biomass compared to other controls and treatments. In addition, the use of coffee grounds waste into biochar can be a waste management solution and reduce environmental pollution. The conclusion of this study is that the synergistic application of endophytic bacteria and biochar of coffee grounds is an environmentally friendly alternative to reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers in Arabica coffee cultivation while encouraging sustainable agricultural systems.

Abstract

This study examines the unilateral termination by PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk. or Alfamart of the parking management cooperation agreement with CV. Hulubalang Satu, reviewed from the principle of good faith in contract law. The issues discussed in this study focus on the legal status of the parking management cooperation agreement and the legal consequences of the unilateral termination carried out by Alfamart due to the provisions issued by the Bengkulu City Government concerning parking management. This research uses a normative legal research method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The legal materials consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, which are analyzed qualitatively. The results show that the parking management cooperation agreement remains legally binding as long as it fulfills the validity requirements of an agreement as stipulated in Article 1320 of the Indonesian Civil Code. The unilateral termination by Alfamart cannot automatically be classified as an act contrary to the principle of good faith, as it was carried out as a form of compliance with the provisions of the Bengkulu City Government. As a legal consequence, the agreement cannot be continued if its implementation is no longer in accordance with the applicable regional legal provisions. However, the termination of the agreement must still consider the principles of propriety, reasonable notice, and legal protection for the party that has performed its obligations under the agreement.

Abstract

The abundant harvest in Babatan Ilir Village has created marketing challenges for tilapia farmers. To address this issue, the farmers have established a partnership with UD Maju Bersama, which provides seeds, feed, and business capital, as well as purchases their production output. This study aims to analyze the partnership pattern between UD Maju Bersama and tilapia farmers in the grow-out phase of tilapia farming, as well as to assess the level of farmer satisfaction with the agribusiness partnership in Babatan Ilir Village, Seginim District, South Bengkulu Regency. This research employs a quantitative descriptive method using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The results show that one of the partnership models between tilapia farmers and UD Maju Bersama is the Agribusiness Operational Cooperation (KOA) scheme. Under this model, UD Maju Bersama assists farmers in marketing their harvest and provides feed, seeds, and necessary medicines. Additionally, in accordance with the agreement, farmers who provide land and labor are required to sell their harvest to UD Maju Bersama. Using the IPA method, the study found an average satisfaction level of 88.86%, while the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) of tilapia farmers toward UD Maju Bersama reached 82.67%. This indicates that the CSI falls within the range of 81% to 100%, which is categorized as "very satisfied."
