Abstract

This study explores the expected years of schooling through the formal education level pursued by the people of Central Java province from 2018 to 2021. This study also suggests that other factors, such as income and social conditions, also affect Central Java Province's schooling length. Human resources are the core of life, so they must be considered to create superior resource capabilities. The method used in this research is quantitative with panel data regression analysis. The results showed that the average years of schooling variable had a positive and insignificant effect on the expected years of schooling, and the district minimum wage variable had a positive and significant effect on the expected years of schooling. From these results, it is concluded that the effect of the independent variable of average years of schooling and city minimum wage on the dependent variable of long school expectation with a study of 6 cities in Central Java through the results of the r-square calculation of 49.87%. The remaining 50.13% is influenced by independent variables outside of the average length of schooling and the city's minimum wage

Abstract

This study examined the effect of investment knowledge, technological progress, and campus support capacity on student investment interest. The subjects in this study were accounting students at the National Development University "Veteran" East Java class of 2019-2022, which has a population of 1,158 students. Simple random sampling obtained a sample of 92 respondents. Data collection using questionnaires distributed by Google Forms. Technical analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach through the SmartPLS 3.0 software application. The results of this study indicate that the better investment knowledge students have will likely encourage student investment interest. Meanwhile, technological progress in the investment process has not been able to increase the investment interest of UPN "Veteran" East Java Accounting students. Campus support in the form of investment management and investment law courses and other facilities can increase student interest in investment

Abstract

Product inspection is a crucial component of product quality control, aiming to evaluate and ensure that products meet predefined standards. In this research, the modelling of piston damage detection is conducted using a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The dataset employed consists of images of pistons categorized into three groups: Defected1, Defected2, and Normal. Two hundred eighty-five images are utilized as training data, with the data distribution percentages for Defected1, Defected2, and Normal being 30.9%, 34.4%, and 34.7%, respectively. The model is validated using newly generated data through augmentation techniques, resulting in 60 images. The CNN model uses a sequential Keras architecture comprising convolutional layers, pooling layers, fully connected layers, and softmax activation. The Adam optimizer with a learning rate 0.0001 is employed for model training, with validation using a 5-fold cross-validation. The model is evaluated using the Loss, Accuracy, and Confusion Matrix, achieving a training accuracy of 0.722 and a validation accuracy of 0.689. An early stopping function is applied to halt training when there is no improvement in validation accuracy. The confusion matrix results indicate that the model adequately classifies data with Accuracy, Recall, and Precision values of 69%, 69%, and 70%, respectively

Abstract

This research is entitled The Influence of Organizational Commitment, Work Discipline, and Work Environment for the Performance of Loading and Unloading Employees at PT.MMP (Morowali Mitra Perkasa). Quantitative research is utilized in this approach to research, with employee performance as the dependent variable and organizational commitment, work discipline, and work environment as the independent variables. The population in this study were employees in the field, totaling 530 employees. The sample for this research was determined using a "Probability Sampling" design, explicitly employing the "Simple Random Sampling" method, which involved the application of the Slovin formula calculation. Upon employing calculations utilizing the Slovin formula, it was ascertained that the number of samples deemed representative of the population amounted to 84 respondents. The research analysis technique employed in this study utilizes the partial least squares (PLS) method. The findings derived from the analysis conducted in this research are as follows: 1) Organizational Commitment Influences Employee Performance. 2) Work Discipline Influences Employee Performance. 3) The work environment influences employee performance
