Abstract

Tegalsari Village, Karanggede Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency, is predominantly inhabited by residents with lower-middle economic status, which affects dietary patterns and nutritional intake, especially among toddlers. Initial data indicated low maternal knowledge about balanced nutrition, minimal participation in posyandu activities, and the absence of community nutrition cadres to provide ongoing education. In response, the Community Service (PKM) team implemented the program “Strengthening Community Nutrition Cadres for Stunting Prevention,” which included education on balanced nutrition and the impacts of stunting, training on preparing balanced menus based on local wisdom, and the formation of competent nutrition cadres. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge, with the average post-test score of 80.00 rising from a pre-test score of 59.33. Most participants now fall into the “good” knowledge category, while those with “poor” knowledge decreased to 0%. The established nutrition cadres are able to disseminate information and healthy nutrition practices sustainably, as well as assist families in preparing balanced menus and monitoring child growth. This program is expected to enhance the community’s understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition, encourage healthy eating habits, and promote active participation in stunting prevention. Strengthening the capacity of cadres has the potential to improve program effectiveness holistically, ensuring that stunting prevention can be implemented independently and sustainably at the community level.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy, with a total of 64.2 million units contributing 61.07% to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP), equivalent to IDR 8,573.89 trillion. However, only about 12% of these MSMEs have effectively adopted digital technologies. Digitalization holds a strategic role in enhancing business competitiveness and efficiency in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 toward Society 5.0, particularly in marketing activities that have shifted from conventional systems to digital-based marketing through e-commerce, social media, and online marketplaces. This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted to assist a partner, Mulya Biro Jasa, an MSME engaged in administrative and legal documentation services located in Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Based on observations, the partner faced challenges in marketing and management facilities that remained conventional, such as the absence of an official website, unregistered business location on Google Maps, and underutilization of social media platforms. Through this PKM activity, the implementation team provided several solutions, including the development of a website, social media development, Google Maps optimization, logo design, business cards, and a neon box sign as a business identity. In addition, the implementing team also installed a 1 TB SSD to provide larger digital data storage capacity and added CCTV to enhance the security of important documents. The program successfully improved the partner’s knowledge and skills in utilizing digital technology to support business development. Based on the questionnaire results, the average pre-test score of 3.09 increased to 3.60 in the post-test, indicating a 16,5% improvement in understanding. Furthermore, this activity provided valuable hands-on experience for students in applying information technology knowledge in real-world business contexts.

Abstract

Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) are plants that can be cultivated in the yard and used for traditional medicine, as a eradication, prevention and self-treatment. Knowledge related to TOGA needs to be trained as early as possible to support National Drug Security. Therefore, early education is necessary to instill awareness and understanding of the importance of TOGA in everyday life. The situation that occurred at SDN Alasombo 3 is that SDN Alasombo 3 must take a local content of Agriculture, but knowledge related to medicinal plants (TOGA) is still not taught. Through Community Service (PkM) activities, the team can contribute to improving health literacy of elementary school students through educational and participatory methods. PkM activities are carried out by providing education related to TOGA, providing assistance related to TOGA planting in the schoolyard, and handing over TOGA posters to be displayed in each classroom. PkM activities provide increased student knowledge based on pretest and posttest results with statistically significant results (p = 0.0034 < 0.005). The activity also received a response of "Very Satisfied" with a score of 93.1%.

Abstract

The younger generation plays a strategic role in economic growth in the digital era. However, low levels of financial education and a lack of strategic understanding of business management hinder young people's business development. This community service program aims to emphasize strategic management skills and financial education, as well as business readiness, through education, workshops, and mentoring. Methods used include seminars and training. Results indicate an increased understanding of management strategies and the use of financial records in business planning, and an increased motivation to become entrepreneurs.
