Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to change the pattern of understanding of the people who inhabit the coast of Pante Deere Village, who often exploit mangrove plants, which has the potential to result in a decrease in the population of mangrove plants which has an impact on the stability of the life of mangrove association organisms which make mangroves as niche and ecological niches and even legal repercussions for unscrupulous mangrove forest cutters. The process of community service activities is carried out through counseling, lectures, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions with target partners, namely the coastal community of Pante Deree Village, comprising a total of 64 family heads. In general, it is classified into several stages, among others, the Preparation Stage, Implementation Stage, and Evaluation Stage. This community service activity was declared successful, significantly, namely 90%, because there were changes in knowledge and understanding experienced by partners. It is reflected in the ability to understand and be able to apply it after this community service activity is completed.

Abstract

The high rate of financial literacy that has not been balanced with financial inclusion in Indonesia, indicates a weak understanding of legal investment products, including futures trading. This low literacy opens a gap for the rise of investment fraud scams that harm the community. This community service activity aims to increase public literacy regarding the legality and mechanism of futures trading through an educational marketing strategy based on a push and pull approach. The push strategy is implemented through interactive workshop activities and personal follow-up through telemarketing. Pull strategy, implemented through the dissemination of educational content on social media. The service method uses qualitative with a descriptive qualitative approach with participatory observation and documentation. The results of the activity show that the push strategy is able to increase active involvement and form personal relationships which also increase the possibility of prospective customers becoming active customers. The pull strategy also succeeded in expanding the reach of information and forming digital public awareness of recognizing legal investments. The combination of these two strategies is effective in reaching the public both online and offline. This dual approach is not only relevant as a short-term educational solution but also has the potential to create long-term financial literacy.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the awareness of MA Al-Ulya Al Mubarok students about the importance of buying local products through effective marketing campaigns. This campaign is designed to instill the value of love and pride for domestic products from an early age, in line with the government's efforts and vocational education in supporting the development of local products. The methods used include education, socialization, and the implementation of digital marketing strategies that are in accordance with the characteristics of the millennial generation. The expected result is increased interest and participation of students in buying and promoting local products, so that it can support local economic growth and strengthen.

Abstract

Improving competitiveness and marketing effectiveness is a challenge faced by many entrepreneurs, including traditional culinary industries such as Bakpia Wong. Despite having quality products with a distinctive taste, this small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) often faces limitations in marketing and efficiently disseminating product information. One marketing method that can be optimized is the use of digital canvassing, a digital marketing strategy aimed at reaching a wider audience with more cost-effective means. The main issue faced by Bakpia Wong is the lack of utilization of digital technology to increase market reach and customer interaction. This results in untapped market potential. Additionally, the reliance on conventional marketing methods limits the business's competitiveness in an increasingly digital world. The proposed solution is the implementation of digital canvassing through digital platforms such as social media, messaging apps, and e-commerce websites to facilitate promotions and transactions. By using digital canvassing, Bakpia Wong can enhance the visibility of its products among potential customers, as well as simplify the ordering and delivery process. This strategy will include creating engaging promotional content, managing social media accounts professionally, and utilizing digital tools to gather direct customer feedback to improve product quality and services. The proposed activities include several phases. First, training for the owners and staff of Bakpia Wong on the use of digital platforms and digital marketing techniques. Second, the development and design of digital content that aligns with the target market's characteristics, including the use of attractive product photos and videos and effective social media management. Third, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the applied digital canvassing strategy by measuring increases in customer interaction, sales, and customer satisfaction. The expected outcomes of this initiative include an increase in Bakpia Wong's sales volume, enhanced brand recognition, and the formation of better relationships with customers through digital platforms. Additionally, it is hoped that the business owners will be able to continuously leverage digital technology for future business growth. The utilization of digital canvassing is expected to have a positive impact not only on Bakpia Wong but also on the development of other potential culinary SMEs in the digital era.

Abstract

Empowering the younger generation, particularly Gen Z, in the financial sector has become a strategic necessity to foster a financially literate and responsible society. Low financial literacy among youth often leads to engagement in high-risk trading and investment activities without adequate knowledge, resulting in potential financial losses. Through the educational program “Discussion on Responsible Futures Trading and Investment” organized by PT. Agrodana Futures Surabaya, this community service initiative aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of basic futures trading concepts, risk management, and the importance of regulatory compliance in the commodity futures trading (PBK) industry. The program implementation involved lectures, interactive discussions, case studies on illegal investments, and trading simulations using MetaTrader 4 demo accounts. Evaluation results indicated a significant increase in participants’ understanding of key concepts such as margin, leverage, stop loss, and the importance of choosing legally registered brokers under Bappebti regulations. This educational effort contributes to empowering Gen Z to become critical, risk-aware investors who are not easily swayed by unrealistic profit promises. Moreover, the program builds a bridge between academic institutions and the financial industry to enhance national financial literacy and promote sustainable financial behavior among youth.

Abstract

The retiree services program represents a strategic collaboration between PT. Pos Indonesia and Koperasi Nusantara (KOPNUS) aimed at expanding alternative channels for pension fund distribution in Indonesia. This community engagement research sought to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the retiree services program through a direct approach to prospective service users. The activities were conducted in the Surabaya region, utilizing a method of direct visits to retirees' residences to offer a transfer of pension fund services from Bank BTPN to PT. Pos Indonesia offices. These visits also served to verify the retirees' status (whether they were still living, deceased, or had moved domiciles) and to explain the possibility of debt guarantees by KOPNUS. However, the results of the activities indicated that no retirees were willing to switch from Bank BTPN services. They felt they had already achieved comfort and trust in the service system they were currently using. This finding underscores the importance of a more adaptive outreach strategy and a deeper understanding of retirees' perceptions and emotional needs in public services.

Abstract

The low level of financial literacy among the public, especially the younger generation, poses a high risk of errors in digital investment decisions, including online commodity trading activities. In response to this issue, a community service program by PT Valbury Surabaya was conducted to enhance prospective clients’ understanding of trading concepts, associated risks, and legal compliance. This program employed a qualitative descriptive and participatory approach, combining face-to-face education, digital media utilization, and demo account simulations. The results showed significant improvements across five literacy indicators, such as the ability to distinguish between legal and illegal platforms, awareness of risks, and increased participant interest in further learning. Trading simulations proved effective in strengthening conceptual understanding and building participants’ confidence. The activity also fostered active discussions and collective awareness of the importance of managing digital finances legally and strategically. In conclusion, this practice-based and interactive educational approach is essential for improving trading literacy and is worth expanding to broader communities as a tangible contribution to digital financial inclusion.

Information technology through social media can reach wider marketing. Internet/digital-based marketing can be a practical solution in marketing products. In the field of marketing management, the creation of a product marketing website for processed coffee is very necessary as a development of coffee product marketing in Lumajang Regency. The methods applied in implementing this activity are socialization, training and structured mentoring. Abstract

Income Tax Article 21 withholding at PT Pos Indonesia Regional V Surabaya is carried out directly by the Human Resources (HR) division, where the tax withheld is part of the benefits provided by the company to employees. With the implementation of the new policy from the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), the tax withholding procedure must be changed to align with the latest regulations. In this community service activity, the author provides information and training to the HR department regarding the PPh 21 withholding procedure in accordance with the latest regulations. The methods applied include counseling, discussion, and simulation of income tax calculations for employees. The results of this activity show an increase in the understanding and skills of human resources in implementing withholding and reporting taxes appropriately and accurately. This activity helps companies to comply with taxes and reduces the possibility of administrative errors that can result in tax sanctions. It is hoped that this socialization activity can be an example for other BUMN companies in managing employee income tax effectively and in accordance with existing regulations.

Abstract

Watershed pollution is a serious problem that impacts public health and the environment. This activity aims to increase students' awareness of SMKN 1 Kota Sorong regarding the importance of maintaining river cleanliness and the impact of pollution on the ecosystem. The activity method consists of two stages of activities, namely the preparation and implementation stages, in which students are introduced to the concept of pollution and how to reduce it. The results of the activity show that the level of student awareness of the importance of environmental protection is still low, as indicated by the habit of littering into rivers. After the socialization, students' understanding of environmental pollution changed from 60% before the socialization to 80% after the socialization. Therefore, effective and participatory environmental education is essential to increase public awareness and involvement in maintaining water quality in watersheds for better survival.
