Abstract

This community engagement activity aims to enhance the digital marketing capacity of MSMEs through social media management assistance, using Wear by Nila—an MSME operating in the Muslim fashion sector—as a case study. The approach employed is participatory and collaborative, involving students and business owners in the processes of planning, content production, publication, and evaluation on the Instagram platform. The strategies implemented include content planning, strengthening visual identity, and the selective use of Instagram Ads. The results show a significant improvement in posting consistency, audience reach, user engagement, and the partner’s understanding of the importance of digital marketing strategies. Furthermore, this activity demonstrates that direct support from academics can help MSMEs overcome resource limitations while driving sustainable digital transformation. This program implies that a practice-based mentoring model can be replicated as a strategic contribution of higher education institutions in supporting MSME empowerment in the digital economy era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Montor Village, Pandeglang Regency, Banten, in utilizing digital marketing to strengthen the village’s economic resilience. The research background is based on local economic challenges caused by limited market access, low digital literacy, and the impacts of the pandemic that have hindered conventional sales activities. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving 15 MSME actors. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with source triangulation to enhance validity. The results indicate that the utilization of digital marketing—particularly through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp Business—significantly contributes to expanding market reach, increasing sales volume, and strengthening the competitiveness of local products. MSME actors who actively adopt creative content strategies, paid promotions, and collaborations with local influencers have experienced a sales turnover increase of up to 35% in the last six months. Furthermore, digital marketing has contributed to the village’s economic resilience by creating new job opportunities, improving local economic circulation, and enhancing the branding of village products. In conclusion, digital marketing serves not only as a promotional tool but also as a strategic instrument for fostering village economic independence. Therefore, policy support is needed in the form of digital literacy training, adequate internet infrastructure, and continuous mentoring for MSME actors to ensure the optimal implementation of digital transformation.

Abstract

The state has been granted the land rights to the entitled party to be cultivated, used, utilized, and maintained properly. This is not only aimed at the welfare of the entitled party but also for the welfare of the community, nation, and state. The state has always granted the rights to the individual or legal entity, alongside with the obligations. However, inevitably abandoned areas and land are often found. Therefore, the counsel on abandoned areas and land is needed. This activity aims to increase government control and public awareness of preventing the occurrence of abandoned places and land. Abandoned areas are non-forest areas that have not been attached to the land rights that have permits/concessions/business permits, which are intentionally not cultivated, not used, and/or not utilized. Abandoned land is land rights, land management rights, and land obtained based on land control, which are intentionally not cultivated, not used, not utilized, and/or not maintained. Individual or legal entities who have obtained land rights or land control are obliged to maintain their land, cultivate it properly, and not abandon it. If they have ever left their land, the legal bond with the land will be abolished and soon will be confirmed as the land that directly controlled by the state. This outreach has motivated and increased awareness of the local community about the importance of effective land use and the importance of implementing abandoned areas and land regulations.

Abstract

Street lighting is a crucial element in improving public safety and ensuring smooth community activities during nighttime. In Babakan Jaya Village, Kopo District, Serang Regency, the existing manually operated lighting system led to unnecessary energy consumption and reduced road safety. This community service initiative introduced an automatic street lighting system equipped with a photocell sensor to enhance energy efficiency and strengthen residents’ sense of security. The implementation process involved location surveys, system design, equipment installation, testing, and official commissioning. The installed system successfully operated as intended lights automatically turned on at dusk when natural light levels decreased and switched off at dawn eliminating the need for manual control. Local residents reported noticeable improvements in both comfort and safety for nighttime activities. This program demonstrates that low-cost, simple automation technology can be effectively applied to improve rural infrastructure in an energy-efficient and sustainable manner.

Abstract

In Mekarwangi Village, Pagaden Barat Subdistrict, Subang Regency, the University of Subang's Student Community Service Program (KKNM) focuses on the use of rocket stove technology for waste management. The high volume of household waste and traditional burning methods that produce excessive smoke, which negatively impact the environment, are the main challenges faced by the community. The use of rocket stoves as appropriate technology can reduce smoke production, improve combustion efficiency, and be more environmentally friendly. The program utilizes socialization, demonstrations, and community involvement in the use of rocket stoves. Thus, rocket stoves have proven to be an effective alternative for waste burning while also serving as a tool for community empowerment to create a cleaner and healthier village environment. The results of the activities also show that the community has a better understanding of how to manage waste in a healthy and environmentally friendly manner and is more active in applying this technology.

Abstract

This community service activity with the healthy plant cultivation (bts) method aims to reduce dependence on the use of inorganic fertilizers in rice cultivation, using environmentally friendly technologies including using superior rice variety seeds, improving soil fertility with organic fertilizers and agricultural lime, gradual soil processing, planting refugia, namely artificial microhabitats for the conservation of natural enemies and controlling pests and diseases in an integrated manner to produce healthy rice, a sustainable environment, and products that are safe for consumption and the use of rice straw waste for making fermented feed and organic compost fertilizer. The community partnership program partners are: Soponyono 1 farmer group, Tanah Periuk Village, Muara Beliti District, Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra. Some of the obstacles faced by this farmer group include: 1). Dependence on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, 2). Pest attacks and plant-disturbing organisms that are difficult to control, 3). Declining agricultural productivity, 4) The lack of optimal utilization of rice straw for animal feed and organic compost fertilizer. Therefore, an approach is needed that is able to maintain production consistency without being constrained by seasons, pests and soil quality. The innovation implemented is the development of agriculture with low-input technology and efforts towards sustainable agricultural development. The approach methods used are extension and training, as well as mentoring and empowerment of the community (farmer groups). The results of this community service activity show that the communities involved can adopt and apply it in their agricultural land and there is an increase in agricultural productivity
