Abstract

Many Filipinos, especially those from the poorest sectors, have struggled to secure their livelihoods as a result of the pandemic restrictions, and have gone hungry as a result of food system disruptions and inadequate food help from the local government. Hence, various individuals, private corporations, and organizations have emerged with various initiatives to aid fellow Filipinos in need in an effort to strengthen the current situation and address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest Community Pantry Initiatives in different parts of the Philippines are examples of this emergence. Due to this fact, the researchers conducted this study to explore the experiences of community pantry organizers and volunteers in the Mainland Cagayan Valley region. Basic qualitative research design was utilized in this study. Through purposive sampling, a total of 15 informants from the Mainland Cagayan Valley region participated in this study. The data was gathered by engaging in an online interview with the use of open-ended questions. The results revealed three major recurring themes, to wit: (1) Description of Organized Community Pantries among Informants; (2) Reasons for Organizing Community Pantries; and (3) Experiences of Community Pantry Organizers and Volunteers. In conclusion, this study highlights the different community pantries that were organized, the reasons as to why organizers implemented such an initiative, the increased civic engagement of the youth, the promotion of pro-social behaviors among the whole citizenry, and the positive and negative experiences of both community pantry organizers and volunteers

Abstract

A person's behaviour encompasses not just how they handle themselves in social situations but also how they express strong emotions like joy, anger, love, and sadness while at work. Organizations consist of groups of people who share a common purpose and work together to realise it. If a business wants to succeed in its mission, it requires the full cooperation and coordination of all its personnel. The efficiency and success of a company hinge on the efforts and outlook of its employees. Changes in behaviour have effects on the group. Psychologist Fredrick Irving Herzberg, or "Fred," of the United States, developed the Motivation Hygiene Theory of Job Satisfaction. His idea is an attempt to explain what motivates people to work together toward a common objective in an organisation. The goal is to ensure the organization's success. The mood at work can be affected in both positive and negative ways by employees' levels of satisfaction with their jobs. This article demonstrates how workplace cleanliness concerns including company regulations, oversight, position, and job security can contribute to employee motivation and satisfaction. This research examines how employees' attitudes and happiness with their work change inside an organisation that practises the Herzberg two-factor theory

Abstract

In the realm of sports, caffeine has become a popular choice for athletes seeking to enhance their strength and maintain peak performance levels. Research has demonstrated that caffeine can facilitate the conversion of fat into energy and increase calcium levels within muscle cells, thereby improving muscle performance and reducing fatigue. This study was conducted to examine the impact of coffee consumption on muscle strength in a male high school futsal team. Employing an experimental method involving a one-group pre-post test design, the study included 22 teenagers. This research was conducted at SMA 5 Tambun Selatan, Bekasi. The researchers utilized the vertical jump test to gauge leg muscle strength both before and after administering coffee to participants and analysed use paired t-test. The result is increased muscle strength after giving coffee at a dose of 2mg CAF/kgBW (51.45±8.92) and 3mg CAF/kgBW (54.05±8.81) compared to before giving coffee (46.68±9.99). There is relationship between coffee consumption and increased muscle strength (p=0.00)

Abstract

In Bangladesh, 85% of fisheries yield comes from inland fisheries. There is an evident production gap between the inland capture and culture fisheries in sample data, but what is in population? The study evaluates the production gap between inland capture and culture fisheries by appropriate test statistics and traces the production share, productivity, yield area, and growth status of various production units of inland fisheries. The required data have been collected from the website of the department of fisheries of Bangladesh. To evaluate the production gap, the study relies on the Mann-Whitney-Wilcoxon U test. The P-value, 0.02272 < 0.05, suggested that there is a significant yield gap between the population of inland capture and culture fisheries in Bangladesh. Inland capture and culture controlled 82.06% and 17.94% of inland production area and 33.03% and 66.97% of production, respectively. The productivity of the inland culture fishery is 9.2 times higher than the inland capture. Rivers, floodplains, and ponds combinedly control 83.07% of the inland production area and 82.57% of the inland yield. To achieve the vision of Bangladesh, policymakers should make separate fishery policies for rivers, floodplains, and ponds. This study might be helpful to national and international bodies to understand the inland fisheries population and production units which might be helpful to restructure fisheries policy in Bangladesh

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the various macroeconomic factors that influence the growth of the stock market, as well as to explore the techniques employed to establish a correlation between them. For this research, literature was sourced from databases such as Ebsco host, Web of Science, and JSTOR using the search terms "Macroeconomic determinants" and "Stock market". The data obtained was then analyzed using the PRISMA statement and presented in the report accordingly. The study revealed that economic growth has a positive effect on the growth of the stock market, while an increase in the inflation rate has a negative impact. The impact of trade openness, foreign investment, exchange rate, interest rate, and banking sector development was found to be mixed. The correlation between these macroeconomic determinants and stock market development was established by utilizing econometric techniques, including GARCH and ARCH models. This research aims to provide an understanding of the relationship between macroeconomic factors and the development of the stock market, as well as the impact of these factors. However, more in-depth exploration of this topic is needed, including the examination of additional databases and analysis on a country and sectoral level. This research will assist scholars and educators within the fields of economics and finance to gain insight into the macroeconomic factors that influence the growth of the stock market. As far as the researcher is aware, no systematic review using the PRISMA framework has been conducted on the relationship between "macroeconomic determinants" and "stock market development

Abstract

COVID-19 is a single-stranded RNA virus that infects through droplets. Drug consumption is one of the factors that affect the recovery of COVID-19 patients. The drug that has become a trend in the world is the use of natural ingredients, but people do not know whether it is effective in shortening the recovery time. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research related to the relationship between the use of natural ingredients with the length of recovery of COVID-19 patients in early adulthood. This study used an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional method on 94 respondents in the Grogol Village area. Respondents fill out questionnaires via Google form and fill out questionnaires directly. Bivariate analysis of data using SPSS version 29. A total of 50 subjects consumed natural medicines (53.2%), namely jamu (58%), and 34 of them consumed almost every day (68%). There was no significant relationship between the use of natural medicine with the length of recovery of COVID-19 patients in early adulthood

Abstract

Esomeprazole is a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) drug formulated in delayed-release tablets, that are included in the mandatory bioequivalence test. In vitro method validation used human plasma from the Indonesian Red Cross that used citrate as an anticoagulant. In the implementation of in vivo study, usually using human plasma used EDTA or heparin as an anticoagulant. This study aims to evaluate the effect of using anticoagulant types that may affect the analysis of esomeprazole in human plasma. Optimum chromatographic conditions used column C18 SunfireTM (5 μm, 250 mm x 4.6 mm); column temperature 40°C; mobile phase acetonitrile - phosphate buffer (40:60% v/v) pH 7.6; 1.0 mL/min flow rate with lansoprazole as an internal standard and wavelength 300 nm (PDA). The extraction was carried out by liquid-liquid extraction method using 500 μl plasma and 5 ml dichloromethane as extraction solvent. The result showed that the concentration range of calibration curve linearity in 5 – 1500 ng/mL. Recovery and broad peak response data of esomeprazole in plasma have significant differences between heparin-EDTA and citrate-EDTA anticoagulants (p<0.05), but there is no significant difference for the stability test. In conclusion, heparin is better than EDTA as an anticoagulant for esomeprazole bioanalysis

Abstract

This research aims to describe the cooperation between Muslim and Hindu communities in handling social problems in the Tengger Tribe, Mount Bromo area, East Java. Religious diversity among the Tengger people provides challenges and opportunities for solving complex social problems. Using symbolic interaction theory and descriptive-qualitative research methods, this study reveals several social problems, including interfaith marriages, lack of access to education, challenges in maintaining identity and tradition, and population administration issues. Interfaith marriage is considered normal in Tengger society, which is not in line with Islamic teachings. Lack of access to education after junior high school is a barrier for the community. Population administration issues, such as birth registration and identity documents, also affect the Tengger community. This research found that there is strong cooperation between the Muslim and Hindu communities in addressing social problems. The contribution of this research is to provide an understanding of the importance of religion, culture, tolerance, and interfaith harmony in strengthening cooperation in solving social problems. The implication of this research is the importance of improving access to education, maintaining identity and tradition, and improving population administration to build a more harmonious and inclusive society in Indonesia
