Abstract

The adoption of digital banking among Generation Z has become a strategic concern for financial institutions in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the adoption of SeaBank by Generation Z in Semarang City by extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with the addition of perceived trust and subjective norm. The goal is to examine how perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived trust, and subjective norm impact attitudes toward using, and how these attitudes impact the intention to adopt SeaBank.  Data were collected through an online questionnaire completed by 309 Generation Z respondents in Semarang City. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the proposed relationships among the variables. The results show that perceived usefulness, perceived trust, and subjective norm have a significant impact on attitude toward using SeaBank. Perceived ease of use, however, does not have a statistically significant effect. Attitude toward using is found to significantly impact the intention to adopt seabank. This research contributes by adapting the Technology Acceptance Model in a digital banking context to Generation Z, who are highly familiar with technology and influenced by peer networks. The integration of trust and subjective norm provides additional explanatory power. The findings provide practical insights for digital banking providers to design strategies that enhance user trust, capitalize on social influence, and meet the expectations of younger users.

Abstract

High turnover intention among private school teachers poses a serious challenge to educational continuity, particularly in regions with limited retention capacity such as Madura Island. This study examines the effects of resilience and life demands on turnover intention, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected through a structured survey of 100 private school teachers selected via proportional random sampling across four regencies on Madura Island. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that organizational commitment significantly reduces turnover intention and fully mediates the effects of resilience and life demands. These results underscore the critical role of organizational commitment in shaping teachers’ retention decisions.

Abstract

This paper examines policy synergies and frictions in Malaysia–China cross-border digital payment integration under the Digital Silk Road. Using document-based policy comparison and a structured literature review, it maps three SME cost-reduction channels—lower search and verification costs, faster clearing and settlement, and improved foreign-exchange transparency—against three governance pillars: data rules, settlement arrangements, and technical standards. The analysis finds that Malaysia’s domestic payment readiness has advanced faster than bilateral institutional coordination, creating an “integration gap” that sustains fees, delays, and compliance burdens for SMEs. Policy options include a bilateral regulatory sandbox, harmonised cross-border QR standards, and phased central-bank cooperation on atomic settlement and CBDC-related pilots.

Abstract

This study investigates the business potential and micro-financial management practices within the Anggur Merah Self-Reliant Village Program, implemented in North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Utilizing a mixed-method analytical framework, the research applies Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share analysis to identify sectoral specialization and regional competitive advantage. These quantitative assessments are further supported by an evaluation of financial management systems adopted by community-based business entities. Findings reveal that multiple sectors exhibit strong localization (LQ > 1) and warrant strategic prioritization for local economic development. These include food crop agriculture, plantations, livestock, forestry, manufacturing, construction, as well as services related to dining, entertainment, and recreation.  The analysis also identifies substantial deficiencies in micro-financial governance. This research contributes to the literature by integrating regional economic analysis with micro-financial management in a context-specific empowerment framework. The results suggest that aligning financial governance mechanisms with sectoral strengths can significantly enhance the sustainability of village enterprises. Furthermore, maintaining fundamental financial oversight across less specialized sectors remains essential. The proposed model offers a contextually appropriate and practically applicable approach to strengthening the long-term efficacy of rural economic development initiatives.

Abstract

This research seeks to examine how the BI Rate, NIM, and the BOPO shape the level of NPLs among conventional banks quoted on the IDX over the 2021–2024 window. Adopting a quantitative design, the analysis draws upon panel datasets compiled from published bank financial reports alongside relevant macroeconomic indicators. The sample was selected using purposive sampling in conventional foreign exchange banks. The analysis was carried out by regression of panel data using the REM model. The results showed that BI-Rate had a significant effect on NPLs in a negative direction, NIM had a significant effect on NPLs, while BOPO did not have a significant effect partially. Simultaneously, all three variables have a significant effect on NPLs. These findings confirm that banking credit risk is influenced by macro factors and the bank's internal performance.
