Abstract

The purpose of this study is to classify efficient and inefficient stocks using the CAPM method so that investors can make the right investment decisions on the IDX30 and Bisnis-27 Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2022 period. The data used in this research is secondary data of 18 samples. The findings in this study, it can be seen that the greater the systematic risk (β), the smaller the expected rate of return E(Ri). This shows that there is a non-linear or non-linear relationship between (β) and E(Ri). Because the average beta value is less than 1 which indicates that stock prices tend to rise or fall lower than the market price index or Rm in general. The criteria for determining investment decisions are choosing efficient stocks. Efficient stocks are stocks that have levels individual returns that are greater than the expected rate of return or [Ri > E(Ri)], while eliminating inefficient stocks, namely stocks that have individual returns smaller than the expected rate of return or [Ri < E(Ri)]. The investment decisions made on efficient stocks are considering buying these shares and the decisions made on inefficient stocks are considering selling these shares.

Abstract

The Indo-Pacific region is considered strategic considering that there are intersections in international trade routes in it. Meanwhile, the strategic value as a geopolitical center is emphasized by the presence of strong countries such as the United States, China, India, Australia, Japan, as well as ASEAN countries. Based of the problem that has been described, the objective of this article is to examine the strategies and diplomatic efforts of ASEAN countries in dealing with maritime security threats in the Indo-Pacific Region. The study used qualitative methods with descriptive research design. This research through the Zoom Meeting application by inviting representative speakers from Universitas Pertahanan Malaysia. The activity will be held on 28 June-2 July 2021. Theoritical framework in this article using maritime security concept, maritime diplomacy concept, and Indo-Pacific Concept. The conclusion is the feud between China and the United States in the Indo-Pacific region, especially the South China Sea has the potential to disrupt regional stability and security. Maritime security related to undisturbed shipping traffic and communications is an effort that the United States is guarding. China's presence in the South China Sea area threatens the interests of the United States regarding sea traffic which will have an impact on the global economy and its country if no action is taken. Countries in Southeast Asia see this problem as something that must be resolved. The presence of AOIP is expected to be able to help resolve existing problems regarding actions that are carried out individually by ASEAN member countries.

Abstract

Simulation of military operation to national capital city (ikn) nusantara if sipadan island is a military base is aimed to find out the types of military operations that might occur in the future. The military operation used in this simulation are airbone operations, submarine operations, and landing operations. the results of the simulation of the travel time of a fighter aircraft are about 15-38 minutes, where the distance from Sipadan Island to IKN Nusantara is 602 km and the estimated minimum aircraft speed is 950 km/hour and a maximum of 2,500 km/hour. If a beach landing operation is carried out, information is obtained that the shortest distance between Sipadan Island and Sebatik Island is 78.9409 km. if submarine operations are carried out, the ALKI II route is the most suitable path for submarines to traverse where this is obtained from the Indonesian bathymetry map data. Based on the results of this study, the conclusion is that the islands of Sipadan do not and not yet have a potential military threat, but this research can be used as a literature study if in the future the islands of Sipadan begin to be monitored for the construction of military bases.

Abstract

The idea of the Global Maritime Fulcrum (GMF) becomes a maritime strategic approach. The government of President Jokowi with the vision of the GMF is determined to rebuild Indonesia's maritime glory. Maritime security is one of the key factors to guarantee the pillars of sovereignty and prosperity. A strong foundation for building Indonesia's vision as the GMF is the nation's geostrategic location and historical overview. The realization of Indonesia as the GMF has a strong foundation, both legal basis, historical review, and socio-economic strength. An important aspect to be developed in order to realize the GMF is the maritime and maritime economic aspects, as well as aspects that are components of governance. The transformation of the defense system, namely land, sea and air can support realizing Indonesia as a Maritime Fulcrum. The idea of realizing Indonesia as a GMF must have relevance between foreign policy and the geographical character of a country and assumptions about establishing the concept of making Indonesia a GMF.

Abstract

The national defense strategy is to prevent, deter and overcome threats and disturbances to the integrity of the nation and state in various forms by developing capabilities as the main component in the form of ready reinforcements and reserves so that they have high preparedness and immediate response. Indonesia's national defense is not carried out solely by military means, but is carried out based on three main pillars, namely the use of defense force, international cooperation and the development of defense forces even though Indonesia's national defense strategy does not adhere to the development of defense force facts. The purpose of this study is to determine the strength of the country's defense through the Indonesian National Armed Forces with the readiness of military operations other than war in the face of non-military threats. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a literature study followed by data presentation, reduction and conclusion. The result of this research is that the state defense is carried out with several efforts such as forming a reserve component, establishing a universal people's security defense system, preparing an active defensive defense, and preparing a multi-layered defense.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology in economic transformation can introduce new risks and threats caused by the emergence of new technologies and features in the digital economy. It is crucial for governments, as implementers and overseers of the economy, to identify potential risks and threats in order to ensure the security of the national economy during the digital economic transformation. The efficiency of the measures developed and implemented to minimize risks and eliminate threats to national economic security depends on the quality and precision of the policies implemented. A comprehensive approach to analyzing the risks and threats posed by cyber threats in the digital economy is necessary and should cover all economic processes, particularly the relationships among the actors involved in the economic process.

Abstract

Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia, is a region where there are many cases of attacks by armed pirate groups. One of the points is in the Sulu Sea which is included in the territorial waters of the Philippines. The waters of the Sulu Sea are directly adjacent to several areas of Indonesia, namely Kalimantan and Sulawesi, so it is not surprising that terrorist groups from the Philippines carry out acts of piracy/jacking of ships originating from Indonesia. The Abu Sayyaf group, which started its criminal activities in the 1990s, hijacked slow-vehicle loaded ships and took hostage crew members who passed through the area. This paper will be prepared using a qualitative descriptive method. This paper will focus more on explaining and providing an overview of the forms of defense strategy carried out by Indonesia in dealing with the problem of transnational crimes by the Abu Sayyaf group. This research data was obtained based on literature review sourced from previous research in the form of journals, books and other scientific works that are relevant to the topic of discussion. The result of this paper is that the Abu Sayyaf Group threat is asymmetrical, coming from non-state actors facing state actors. The Abu Sayyaf group has an interest in establishing an Islamic state in the Philippines and to maintain the existence of its group, the Abu Sayyaf group takes hostage actions by asking for ransom. In order to deal with these non-military threats, the Indonesian national defense strategy is not only carried out by means of the military, but is carried out by relying on 3 (three) main pillars, namely the use of defense force, international cooperation, and the development of defense forces. In facing the threat of the Abu Sayyaf Group, Indonesia has prioritized the pillars of international cooperation even though there have been options for the development and use of defense forces and also the development of defense forces as a deterrent factor to minimize threats.

Abstract

The likelihood of disaster statistics is not the same across all countries and ups and downs over time. As country with the potential disasters more than 3.000 events every year, disaster data and statistics play an important role in reducing disaster risks and building resilience through estimating the risks, hazards and vulnerability. Therefore, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the Central Statistical Agency (BPS) jointly developed Satu Data Bencana Indonesia (SDBI) as the official sectoral statistical domain within the National Statistical System to Disaster Statistical Framework (DRFS) established by UN ESCAP and was designed adhering to the principles of Satu Data Indonesia. Based on the background described above, research needs to be carried out as learning material to increase knowledge about intergovernmental-disaster data and its implementation for decision-makers. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive exploratory approach: data collection by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation; data analysis techniques by data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. Several issues in implementing the platform of SDBI as regulated in the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Regulations Number 1 of 2023 concerning Satu Data Bencana are weak coordination, non-standardized methodology, and poor communication. The conclusion from this study is that the methodological practices and procedures of disaster management for data collection and management should be shared with agencies involved in the technical working group to ensure coordination. The needs to form technical working group consisting of BPS, BNPB and BIG to minimize problems in implementing Satu Data Bencana Indonesia cannot be delayed to ensure the sustainability of nations ‘development.

Abstract

One of Indonesia's most actual maritime border disputes is the border dispute between Indonesia and China in the North Natuna Sea. This research focuses this on examining how to improve the performance of Indonesia's defense diplomacy through deterrence strategies in dealing with conflicts in the North Natuna Sea. This research uses qualitative-descriptive. The location of this research was carried out in Jakarta, in this case the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia. Research time for six months. The research subjects were six sources. The object of this research is about improving the performance of defense diplomacy through deterrence strategies in the North Natuna Sea. The primary data collection technique is an in-depth interview method, while the secondary data collection technique uses a literature study. The results show that the performance of Indonesia's defense diplomacy in the North Natuna Sea for the 2016-2021 period is still relatively weak, especially if it is related to the potential threat from the Chinese side. Indonesia's deterrence strategy in the North Natuna Sea for the 2016-2021 period has so far been carried out with external policies, namely cooperating with foreign parties, both bilaterally, regionally, and globally. Indonesia's efforts to improve defense diplomacy in the North Natuna Sea through a deterrence strategy can be carried out with at least 10 items of deterrence strategy, including conducting joint military exercises; enhance joint surveillance and patrols; increase the discussion of maritime issues in regional and international forums; and increase advocacy for the law of the sea.
