(2) During the conflicts, focused on stopping violence in collaboration with the police and localizing the Ahmadiyya congregation to a safer place. (3) Post-conflict, focused on preparing facilities, infrastructure, fullfiling human rights, and forming an Early Alertness Program to minimize similar conflicts from reoccurring. The role played by the NTB Kesbangpol has shown negative peace and positive peace. However, the Ahmadiyya Congregation conflict has not been fully resolved, so the Kesbangpol of NTB must establish a Working Group for the Acceleration of Conflict Management and engage in massive community education about the SKB.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students’ reading comprehension of SMAN 4 Serang City are influenced by many factors, including the use of learning models and learning media. This study aims to determine the increase in students' ability to read short stories through the CIRC model assisted by media images. This research is a classroom action research using two cycles. Following the Kemmis and McTaggart model, this  model is based on a spiral cycle consisting of four components, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject were 42 of class XI IPA-2 at SMAN 4 Serang City in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Determination of the research sample using purposive sampling methods with a random technique. Data on students’ reading ability were collected using a  reading comprehension test. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The result showed that the learning model applied has been empirically proven to improve student learning outcomes by reading student stories. From tests that has been carried out for two cycles, it was found that there is a very significant difference between the pretest results and the posttest results. The average value of the final test results, namely after learning using the Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) learning model and the image media developed, has increased significantly compared to the average value of the initial test results, namely before the developed learning model. So it can be concluded that learning using the Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) type learning model and serial image media has been proven through a series of tests to improve student learning outcomes for grade XI students of SMAN 4 Serang City.

Abstract

This study aimed at examining the influence of transformational and transactional leadership on organisational performance by using Ruaha Catholic University of Tanzania as a case study. Quantitative data was collected from 130 employees of the university by using a standard questionnaire. Data analysis was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics, specifically linear regression. Descriptive results were presented using frequencies, means and standard deviations while results from inferential statistics were presented in the form of correlations and regressions.  Transformational and transactional leadership were found to have mean values that are above average score and the difference between the two leadership styles were not significantly big. However, the findings show that leaders practised more of transactional leadership than transformational leadership since transactional leadership had higher mean score value. Moreover, the study found that both transformational and transactional leadership have significant positive linear relationships with organisational performance. The findings give an implication that both transformational and transactional leadership can be used concurrently to bring about positive results in an organisation.

Abstract

Beginning on October 5, 2017, Al Sunnah militants in the Cabo Delgado region of Mozambique violently attacked security personnel, governmental buildings, and the civilian public and by 2020 the terrorists had killed more than 3,000 people and driven almost 800,000 people from their homes. The terrorists were also starting to spill over into neighboring nations creating a regional security threat. The Mozambique security forces reacted to the situation without success as the reaction force was underequipped and lacked the necessary skills. As the situation further worsened, Mozambique requested the Southern African Development Community for assistance on the basis of the group’s collective security provisions. This culminated in the deployment of the SADC Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM). This study aims at evaluating the collective defense capacity-building initiatives adopted by SADC to assist Mozambique. The study uses a qualitative approach with data gathered through document analysis and interviews of 15 purposely selected informants comprised of military officers directly involved in the conflict, academics and key politicians. Collective security initiatives adopted by SADC include diplomatic involvement, training, offensive military operations, the provision of military gear, guidance, funding, consulting services, and intelligence services. The outcomes show that, despite certain difficulties, the collective initiatives by SADC member states were sufficient to achieve the desired end state of neutralizing the Al Sunnah terrorists and restoring peace and security to Cabo Delgado Province.
