Abstract

Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries has continued to roll out policies for the empowerment of fisherman and fish farmers, especially the micro scale. In order to enhance the welfare and income of fish farmers and fisherman, the problems in marketing that need to be getting the attention that is associated marketing margin and efficiency of capture fisheries and aquaculture commodity. The purpose of this study is to analyze marketing margin and efficiency of milkfish and mackarel tuna coming into Jakarta market as well as provide marketing policy recommendations of fishery products. The results showed that the marketing of milkfish and mackarel tuna to the Jakarta market based on marketing costs have been efficient because the costs are relatively low compared to the price of the consumer level. However, based on marketing cost-benefit ratio is not efficient because it can not hold a fair sharing of the overall price paid by the consumers to producers and middleman involved in the production and marketing of the commodity. Therefore, there needs to be marketing regulation to protect the interests of fish farmers, fisherman and consumers in the marketing of fishery commodities.Keyword: marketing efficiency, milkfish and mackarel tuna, marketing regulation

Abstract

The main objective of a company in running its operational activities is to maximize profit. Apart from that, the company is also obliged to provide maximum contribution to the community. To accommodate the objectives and obligations, the company may apply a system called Corporate Governance (CG). The company can also implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as its significant step in contributing to the community. The implementation of CG and CSR is related because CSR is a consequence of CG implementation. In addition to CG and CSR are interconnected, CG and CSR are also interconnected with Corporate Financial Performance (CFP). Through the implementation of CG, the company can improve CFP. The relationship between CSR and CFP can be associated positively or negatively. The research was conducted on 100 companies listed in Kompas100 index to determine the influence of CG to CSR, influence of CG to CFP, influence CSR to CFP, and influence of CG to the CFP with CSR as a moderating variable. Structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis was used to determine the relationship of these three variables. The results showed that CG influenced positively to CSR, but influenced negatively to CFP. Likewise, CSR influenced negatively to CFP. Due to the negative influence of CG to CFP and CSR to CFP, CG also influenced negatively to the CFP through the disclosure of CSR as moderating variable.Keyword: corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, corporate financial performance, Indeks Kompas100

Abstract

Copal is originated from the exudate of Agathis loranthifolia tree, which flows out from tapping. copal is one of Indonesia's export comodities. Unfortunately, since the export was still in the form of raw materials, it was necessary to study the identification of resin acid content of the copal of Sukabumi. It was also necessary to test the quality of the copal. Extraction was done by using acetone: MeOH (9:1) solvent. Then the extraction of resin acid content was identified by using Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (CGMS). The quality of copal was evaluated based on SNI 7634-2011. Resin acids of the copal which were identified by CGMS are limonene (44%), ethylene oxide hexamer, cis-limonene oxide, toluene, trans-carveol, 2-siclohexane-1-one, trans-limonene oxide, and alpha pinene. Copal of Sukabumi belong to the first class, because the obtained parameters are not all included in the premier class ranges. However it is still possible to be upgraded to their premier class by removing the dirt. Keywords : Agathis loranthifolia, copal, limonene, resin acids.

Abstract

The experiments of vacuum-asisted seed invigoration was conducted in Bogor, Indonesia, in order to increase crop production of iles-iles (Amorphophallus muelleri). This research was conducted in two series of experiments. The first experiment was conducted to determine the level of vacuum. The research was using 5 treatments i.e., control 1 (soaked in the water), control 2 (soaked in a solution of 2% N), control 3 (vacuum in water media), vacuum in solution containing 2% N, 4% N, 2% NPK (2:1:1), 4% NPK, vacuum in solution of supplementary liquid fertilizer (PPC) 2% and 4% PPC. The results of of the first experiment showed that the vacuum treatment increased the germination of iles-iles, the best vacuum pressure was -250mmHg. In the second experiment, the vacuum in a solution 4% PPC generated the highest growth followed by vacuum in 2% solution of NPK and 4% of PPC. In addition, the vacuum in the nutrient solution over 4% lead to inhibition of growth. The implication of this study is that the provision of nutrients in the seeds can increase plant growth of iles-iles. Vacuum treatment can enhance the effectiveness of invigoration. Keywords : NPK, PPC, seed treatment, starter solution, vacuum
