Abstract

This research examines Premysis Consulting’s strategic diversification into sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) consulting using an internal–external fit approach. The study explores how the firm’s ISO-based consulting expertise can be leveraged to enter Indonesia’s emerging ESG market, driven by POJK 51/2017 and increasing stakeholder expectations. A qualitative exploratory method was applied, incorporating internal interviews, six external client discussions, and a focused group discussion (FGD). The PESTEL and VRIN–RBV analyses reveal that while Premysis possesses valuable assets such as strong client trust, a structured methodology, and regulatory competence, the firm faces capability gaps in ESG-specific technical skills, digital tools, and innovation diffusion. Thematic findings identify four market segments: Compliance-Oriented, Transformation-Focused, Mid-Sized/Underserved, and Innovation-Oriented clients. Among these, the Transformation-Focused and Mid-Sized segments present the most strategic opportunities. The study recommends a hybrid business-level strategy, combining focused differentiation for transformation clients and cost leadership for SMEs. ESG diversification is deemed viable if supported by talent upskilling, digital integration, and partnership-based positioning. This research contributes to the sustainability consulting literature by demonstrating how internal–external alignment enables consulting firms to evolve from compliance-driven services toward strategic ESG advisory.

Abstract

Abstract

The increasing penetration of solar photovoltaic (PV) generation in industrial power systems provides significant opportunities for fuel reduction and sustainability improvement. However, high PV penetration also introduces operational challenges related to power variability and grid frequency stability, particularly in systems with limited inertia and spinning reserve. This study proposes a structured managerial decision framework to address solar PV integration challenges at PT OEC by combining Kepner–Tregoe (KT) problem analysis and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Solar PV performance and grid frequency behavior were first analyzed to identify whether observed disturbances were caused by technical failure or structural system limitations. KT analysis was then applied to validate the root causes of frequency instability events. Based on the identified causes, four alternative solutions were evaluated using AHP across multiple criteria, including frequency stability improvement, PV energy yield impact, investment cost, implementation complexity, and operational maintainability. The results indicate that Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is the most preferred strategic solution, followed by gas turbine spinning reserve optimization and PV–GT coordination procedures. Sensitivity analysis confirms that while BESS dominates under reliability-focused priorities, operational measures remain relevant under cost- and time-constrained scenarios. The study demonstrates that combining KT and AHP provides a robust decision-making framework for balancing reliability, cost, and long-term value in solar PV integration.

Abstract

Candidiasis, primarily caused by Candida albicans, continues to pose clinical challenges due to antifungal resistance and the adverse effects of synthetic agents. This study aimed to evaluate the phytochemical profile and antifungal efficacy of Salacca zalacca (Bali snakefruit) peel extract as a potential natural alternative. The extract was obtained using ethanol-based maceration and analyzed through UV-Vis spectrophotometry. The results revealed high concentrations of flavonoids (857.59 mg/100 g), phenolics (860.54 mg/100 g), vitamin C (8391.10 mg/100 g), and tannins, along with the qualitative presence of saponins. Antioxidant analysis indicated weak radical scavenging activity (IC?? = 546.19 ppm) but a high total antioxidant content (2532.17 mg GAE/L). Antifungal testing using the disk diffusion method against C. albicans showed no inhibition zones at extract concentrations of 2.5%, 5%, and 10%, whereas the ketoconazole control produced a strong inhibition zone (mean 20.33 mm). The lack of activity may be attributed to diffusion limitations or solubility issues rather than the absence of bioactive compounds. Despite the negative antifungal results, the high phytochemical content suggests potential for alternative therapeutic applications. Further studies employing alternative solvents, higher extract concentrations, and more sensitive antifungal assays are recommended.

Abstract

This study develops an inventory control model for products that experience degradation under probabilistic demand by simultaneously combining delays in permitted payments and budget constraints. In a real operational setting, inventory decisions are increasingly challenged by demand uncertainty, declining product quality, financial constraints, and payment policies offered by suppliers. To overcome this complexity, the probabilistic inventory model is formulated with the aim of minimizing the total cost of inventory per unit of time, which consists of ordering costs, warehouse storage costs, quality degradation costs, shortage costs, and financial storage costs, while taking into account the interest earned during the credit period. This model considers two payment scenarios: when the allowable payment delay occurs before the end of the recharge cycle and when the delay exceeds the length of the cycle. The decision variables in this study are optimal order lot sizes, safety stock, and reorder points, as well as budget constraints imposed to ensure financial feasibility. Numerical experiments show that extending payment delays beyond the recharge cycle significantly reduces total costs by eliminating financial storage costs. Further sensitivity analysis revealed that the total cost and optimal order quantity were highly sensitive to the cost of ordering, the level of demand, and the rate of damage, while financial parameters showed a relatively marginal influence. These results confirm that the proposed model provides a more realistic and robust decision-support framework for the inventory management of damaged products under conditions of demand uncertainty and financial constraints.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aimed to compare inflammatory biomarkers derived from complete blood counts—namely, neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), and systemic inflammation response index (SIRI)—between BPH and prostate cancer patients. A retrospective study was conducted on 257 patients from two secondary hospitals in Bogor, Indonesia, between January 2021 and June 2025. Subjects were diagnosed with either BPH (n = 212) or prostate cancer (n = 45). Preoperative complete blood counts were used to calculate NLR, PLR, MLR, SII, and SIRI. Group comparisons were performed using the Mann–Whitney U test, and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was conducted to assess overall biomarker profile differences. Binary logistic regression was applied to evaluate the predictive value of individual biomarkers. PLR was significantly higher in prostate cancer patients (p = 0.007), while other biomarkers did not show significant intergroup differences in univariate analysis. MANOVA revealed a statistically significant difference in overall inflammatory profiles (Pillai’s trace = 0.060, F(5, 251) = 3.208, p = 0.008). Logistic regression identified PLR (p < 0.001), SII (p = 0.035), and SIRI (p = 0.009) as independent predictors of prostate cancer. Inflammatory biomarkers—particularly PLR, SII, and SIRI—may serve as useful markers to differentiate prostate cancer from BPH and offer prognostic insight. These parameters are readily available from routine complete blood counts, making them valuable tools in clinical settings, especially in resource-limited areas. Further prospective studies are recommended to validate their utility and integration into standard diagnostic pathways.
