Furthermore, fish consumption is considered moderate, as seen in 221 respondents (88.0%). The chi-squared test revealed that the p-value of maternal knowledge is 0.000.In conclusion, maternal knowledge contributes to fish consumption in under-fives. It is expected that the research can provide information for Puskesmas Kabila Bone regarding the condition of people and fish consumption in children living in their working areas. Keywords: Knowledge, dietary pattern, fish, under-fives

Abstract

There are more cases of malnutrition than other cases, such as stunted growth of children and loss of vitamins and minerals. Lack of consumption of vegetables and fruit causes children to be susceptible to malnutrition. The novelty of this study is because it examines the knowledge and attitudes of school-age children towards vegetable and fruit consumption at SD Negeri 9 pekanbaru The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards vegetable consumption in school-age children. This research is a quantitative type of research using cross sectional method which was conducted in July 2015 to determine the knowledge and attitude scores. This research was conducted at the State Elementary School 9 Pekanbaru in a school environment where school children are easier to lack nutrients such as vitamins and minerals during their growth period. Of the 88 respondents studied, there is a significant relationship between knowledge of consumption of vegetables and fruit indicated by a P Value of 0.008 0.05 (OR: 4.667. CI: 1.570 – 13.874). For attitudes, there is a relationship between attitudes towards consumption of vegetables and fruit in school children. P value 0.004 0.05 (OR : 6.500, CI : 2.049 – 20.619) From the results of this study, consumption of vegetables and fruit in children is still lacking. Consumption of vegetables and fruit can be increased through the role of parents and teachers in schools so as to reduce the problem of malnutrition. Abstract

Thrombocytosis is a condition which the platelet count exceeds 450,000/mm3. Thrombocytosis was classified as: mild (450,000-700,000/mm3), moderate (700,000-900,000/mm3), severe (900,000-1,000,000/mm3) and extreme (1,000,000/mm3). Functionally, thrombocytosis is divided into primary (essential) and secondary (reactive). The novelty of this study due to examining reactive thrombocytosis in children. The purpose of this study was to look at reactive thrombocytosis in children.  Essential thrombocytosis is a myeloproliferative disorder due to monoclonal or polyclonal abnormalities of hematopoietic cells or biologic abnormalities of thrombopoietin (Tpo) in the primary regulation of megakaryopoiesis. Meanwhile, reactive thrombocytosis occurs temporarily due to stimulation of megakaryopoiesis with haematological or non-haematological abnormalities. Reactive thrombocytosis is an increase in thrombopoiesis due to reactive process due to infection, chronic inflammation, malignancy, and splenectomy surgery. Bacterial or viral infections are the most common cause (about 37-78%) at any age during childhood. Reactive thrombocytosis are asymptomatic and is usually found incidentally. Based on the guidelines the British Society for Haematology recommends three initial investigations: (1) Peripheral blood smear, (2) Inflammatory markers, and (3) Iron status. Management of reactive thrombocytosis by threated the main diseases, then platelet count returns to normal after the underlying disease is resolved. The overall prognosis depends on the underlying causative condition, approximately 8% of patients with acute infection examined have mild, transient thrombocytosis and show no infectious complications. However, these patients had an increased acute-phase response, prolonged length of stay, more bacteraemia and increased mortality although it only affected a minority of patients. This distinction between essential and reactive thrombocytosis is important because it implies evaluation, prognosis and treatment. Keywords: Reactive Thrombocytosis; Secondary Thrombocytosis; Transient.

Abstract

Stunting is a short or very short state that is based on height according to age. Factors that influence the occurrence of stunting consist of direct factors, indirect factors, and the root of the problem. Environmental factors are indirect factors for the incidence of stunting, where a history of infectious diseases is a link between environmental factors and stunting events. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between environmental factors and a history of diarrheal disease to the incidence of stunting in baduta aged 6-23 months in 2021 in the work area of the Ciawi Health Center, Tasikmalaya Regency. The research method used is a quantitative method with a case-control research design. The sample in this study was 102 Badura mothers consisting of 51 stunted baduta mothers and 51 non-stunted baduta mothers. The statistical test used is Chi-Square with (α) = 0.05. The results of the study found that there was a relationship between a history of diarrhea (p-value = 0.031, OR = 5.976), access to sanitation (p-value = 0.034, OR = 4.02) and access to drinking water (p-value = 0.006, OR = 4.453) with stunting events. Meanwhile, there is no relationship between access to sanitation (p-value = .1,000) and access to drinking water (p-value = 0.482) with a history of diarrhea. The conclusion of this study is that the variables associated with stunting events are a history of diarrhea, access to sanitation, and access to drinking water. Meanwhile, access to sanitation and access to drinking water is not related to a history of diarrhea. It is hoped that households can improve sewage channels so that access to sanitation is safe and drinking water sources are safe for consumption. Keywords: Stunting; Baduta; History of Diarrhea; Sanitation; Drinking Water

Abstract

Long-term use of antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) for epilepsy causes a decrease in vitamin D levels due to the activation of liver cytochrome P450 enzymes. The novelty of this study is due to researching about correlation between the duration of anti-epileptic drugs therapy and vitamin d level in epileptic children This cross-sectional study was conducted from October - December 2021in children with epilepsy aged 1 month to 18 years admitted to pediatric neurology polyclinic of DR Wahidin Sudirohusodo. They were divided into two groups: epileptic children receiving AEDs treatment ≤ 1 year and epileptic children receiving AEDs treatment 1 year. Statistical analysis showed no significant relationship between the duration of AEDs use and the incidence of vitamin D deficiency in children with epilepsy. Keywords: Vitamin D Deficiency; Antiepileptic Drugs; Epilepsy

Abstract

AbstractTilango Public Health Center is an inpatient health center that is located far from trans road access, so it can be a factor in the lack of patient visits. In addition, the number of employees in the inpatient unit of the Tilango Health Center is more midwives than nurses, and even doctors are only on-call (not permanent), so many people are still dissatisfied with the services of the Tilango Health Center. The purpose of the study was to determine the satisfaction of patients and employees at the Tilango Public Health Center, Gorontalo Regency. This research is included in descriptive observational research. The population is all patients and employees of the Tilango Public Health Center, totaling 43 people. The sampling technique uses total sampling so that the number of samples is the same as the total population. Data were collected using a questionnaire instrument. The data were analyzed descriptively and then narrated. The results showed that the performance of the inpatient unit at Tilango Health Center was viewed from the customer's perspective, with indicators of patient satisfaction categorized as satisfied (93.34%), while the performance of the inpatient unit at Tilango Health Center viewed from a learning perspective with employee satisfaction indicators categorized as less satisfied (26.0%). The novelty in this study is the measurement of the level of patient and employee satisfaction measured using qualitative research methods. It is recommended that the Tilango Health Center be able to improve performance and add a health service innovation process. Keywords: Satisfaction; Patients, Employees; Public Health Center
