Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find out the efficient way in deciding the route to maximize the fuel distribution from Plumpang depot to every gas station. The method used was qualitative descriptive with saving matrix and nearest neighbor technique analysis. Using the qualitative data to gain information used to solve the problems, the method was able to find out the best route by considering the vehicles’ capacity and demand from each customers. The data were the distance between depot and gas stations, the distance between gas stations, the demand of each customers, and parking area of vehicles’ capacity in the gas stations. The result shows that by using the analysis of saving matrix and nearest neighbor, the minimum distribution route and lessening the time consumed in distributing can be applied.

Abstract

PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is a toll way developer in Indonesia. Jasa Marga has built and opened thirteen toll ways managed by nine branches and one subsidiary company, PT. Jakarta Outer Ring Road. The length of the toll ways is 496 km or 78% of the length of toll ways in Indonesia which reached 630 km. PT. Jasa Marga, Tbk has 102 CCTV cameras and 19 cameras on Cawang-Tomang-Cengkareng toll way. Knowing the influence of social media and information service on Cawang-Tomang-Cengkareng toll way that provided by PT. Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk was the purpose of this research. Questionnaire and field research were used in this research. The fishbone analysis was used to analyze the data. The result of this research showed that the socialization about toll road condition by social media and information service for user was not optimal. There were 14 of 30 respondents or  46.67% said Yes that they knew about the current traffic condition by social media and 13 of 30 respondent or 43.33% said Yes that they knew about the current traffic conditions by information service. Due to the lack of socialization and cooperation with mass media caused toll way users did not know about current traffic condition that made congetion on the toll way.

Abstract

The study was conducted at Badan SAR Nasional using quantitative method, with the number of samples taken based on Slovin formula as many as 40 people. The study used linear regression analysis, simple, partial or simultaneous correlation and path analysis. The results conclude that there is influence of Quality Relation Response Time Service, Facilities & Infrastructure Warehousing and Training Search And Rescue (Sar) to Work Effectiveness SAR Operations Mission  In Badan SAR Nasional.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors causing the performance of AMC officers which is considered not optimal at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport from July to September 2013. This research method was using descriptive qualitative using fishbone theory, collecting data by giving questionnaires to 39 respondents, and using library data. The first factor is less skilled apron officers who are dealing with domestic and international flight problems (33%). The cause of the 2nd sequence is the apron officer is less engaged in the maintenance of the facilities and equipment used (27%). Management is not transparent in informing the reward system (20%). The cause of the problem in sequence 4 is that management is not giving much motivation to the apron officers (13%). The cause factor of sequence 5 is that the apron officers pay less attention to the cleanliness aspect of the apron area and the time of officers’ work (7%).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the strategies in enhancing the quality of services of PT. SchenkerPetrologUtama which is focused on cargo handling. This research is using SWOT analysis to find out the internal and external factors of PT. Schenker. They are the company’s good image, good relations with the customers, owned-vast capacity warehouse, insurance-sent goods, and the company’s well-documented shipment. On the other hand, it is also found that the company has some weaknesses such as lack of transport owned by the vendor, lack of supervised-material system, undetailed-packing process, less communication and coordination between branches and the minimum number of vendors. The external factors start with the opportunity owns by PT. Schenker which are the vast developing of delivery services, the varieties of exhibition and other events, the fast growing business of technology and information, joining other companies’ tender, and the increasing number of local mover companies. However, PT. Schenker also has some threats due to the fast growing of other cargo handling companies, the movement of employees to other division, the disloyal vendors, the time constraints in sending goods, and the consequences (delay) met in Customs and Immigrations. Based on the quadrant, the proposed strategies should be used by the company are aggressive and intensive. They are market expansions, market and product development.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to observe the effect of the implementation of loading and unloading activities on the round time turn. Delays in loading and unloading can cause ship's departure not in accordance to schedule.  Observations were made during loading and unloading process of KM Dorolanda. The research method used was quantitative methods with regression analysis and correlation coefficients. Statistical results show the influence of containers’ loading and unloading implementation on turn round time, with a simple linear line equation Y = 18.81 + 0.541X, correlation coefficient (r) of 0.630. The relationship between the implementation of container loading and unloading (X) with turn round (Y) is strong and positive. The contribution of variable X to the rise and fall of variable Y is 39.69% (determinant coefficient). The influence of variable X on the Y variable is significant (t-count> t-table is 3.893> 1.714).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the correlation of forklift operators in compliance with safety regulations at PT. YCH Cibitung. The research used quantitative method with simple regression data analysis. The result of the research shows that there is a significant correlation between disciplines to comply with safety regulation with forklift operators’ safety. Based on the correlation coefficient r = 0.8694, means Discipline to Comply with Safety Regulation (X variable) has strong correlation to Forklift Operators’ Safety (Y variable). The value of coefficient determinant equals to 75.58%, this means contribution of Discipline to Comply with Safety Regulation in forklift operation increases work safety by 75.58%.  The hypotheses testing shows t stat = 9.9514 > t table = 1.6938.  This suggests that there is a significant correlation between Discipline to Comply with Safety Regulation to Forklift Operators’ Safety at PT. YCH Cibitung.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out the effect of aircraft flying frequency to passengers’ movement in Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport from 2016 to 2017. The problem of the research is how the flying frequency of commercial aircraft in Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport effects the passengers’ movement in 2016-2017. The analysis techniques used in this study were simple linier regression, coefficient correlation, determinant coefficient and hypothesis test. The first result is Y = 140152 + 75,96X (from simple linier regression analysis) which means each changes from one variable X will be followed by Y changes of 75.96 times X in constant of 140152. The second result is 0.74 from coefficient correlation analysis which shows there is a strong and positive relation between commercial aircrafts’ flying frequency and passengers’ movement. The third result 55 % is from determinant coefficient analysis which shows the contribution of variable X (aircraft flying frequency) to variable Y (passengers’ movement) while the other 45 % is from other factors. The last result is 5.18 and 1,717 or > (5.18 > 1,717) from hypothesis test which means there is a significant relation between X and Y variables (Ho is rejected while Ha is accepted).

Abstract

This study was conducted to find out the effect of employees’ performance in handling export documents to the effectiveness of goods delivery.  PT Iron Bird Transport is a private company focuses on domestic and international delivery and logistics. The company thinks that employees’ performance is important to achieve the satisfaction from customers. There are 30 employees in operational export division as survey respondents. This study was using simple linear regression analysis and coefficient correlation method. From the data processing can be seen that there is a significant effect on human resources performance in managing export documents to the effectiveness of goods delivery based on the results of hypothesis : tcount > ttable or 5,836 > 1,697.

Abstract

High competitive international trade is a key factor to find out the economic prosperity of a country. PT. APL Logistics, a private company which is dealing with delivery and logistics outside and inside Indonesia, pays closely attention of the employees’ skills. This research is using quantitative descriptive to find out the employees’ skills of PT. APL Logistics. Based on the data evaluation and library research, the result shows that 14.7 % of employees have not reach the maximum skills while 83.3 % of employees are reaching good quality. The scoring is based on three criteria; technical skills, individual skills, and individual skills which is considered not optimal.
