Abstract

Abstract History learning in Indonesian senior high schools continues to rely on lecture-based instruction and static textbooks, resulting in low student motivation particularly among Generation Z learners who are accustomed to visual and interactive content. This development research aimed to produce an interactive story mapping learning medium titled "Jejak Cahaya di Nusantara" for Grade X students on the topic of the entry of Islam into the Nusantara. The medium was developed using the ADDIE model, limited to formative evaluation, with the theoretical framework of Game-Based Learning (GBL) and the MUSIC Model of Motivation. Needs analysis was conducted through a literature-based desk study due to field access limitations. The final product is a web-based application consisting of four explorable routes (Gujarat, Persia, Makkah, and China), four playable characters, a badge system, and twelve quizzes aligned with MUSIC principles. Media expert validation yielded an average score of 4.58 out of 5 (89%), categorised as "Very Feasible." Feasibility testing produced an average score of 4.76 out of 5 (95%), also categorised as "Very Feasible." Qualitative feedback indicated that the gamification system effectively increased learning engagement, though item discrimination in quiz questions requires improvement. This study recommends full-scale implementation in classroom settings and further experimental research to measure the medium's effect on learning outcomes. Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the feasibility of an interactive, website-based history learning medium called “Ekspedisi Nusantara,” which is integrated with a narrative gamification system to address students' boredom and low historical awareness. The research methodology employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting the ADDIE model and focusing on the first three phases: Analysis, Design, and Development. The development stage involved expert judgment to test the prototype’s validity. Data collection was conducted using a modified four-point Likert scale questionnaire without a neutral option to minimize bias. Data analysis employed quantitative descriptive statistical techniques to calculate the feasibility percentage. The research results show that the developed media received a score of 95.00% from media experts and 98.33% from content experts. Based on the feasibility conversion criteria, both scores fall into the “Highly Feasible” category. The narrative gamification approach through digital badges and tiered missions on the Google Sites platform proved capable of transforming passive textual history material into an active digital expedition. In conclusion, “Ekspedisi Nusantara” is highly valid and suitable for implementation as an interactive learning innovation that accommodates the digital characteristics of Generation Z high school students. Abstract

This study investigated the English vocabulary size of 34 second-semester students at Universitas Indonesia Timur as an indicator of their academic lexical readiness. A descriptive quantitative design was employed, and data were collected through an online vocabulary size test administered via VocabularySize.com. The scores were analyzed using descriptive statistics and grouped into 1,000-word bands. The findings showed that students’ vocabulary-size scores ranged from 300 to 6,000, with a mean of 3,600.00 and a standard deviation of 1,663.330. The largest proportion of students was in the 3,000–3,999 band, while 61.8% scored below 4,000, 38.2% reached 4,000 or above, and only 29.4% reached 5,000 or above. Interpreted through Paul Nation’s lexical-threshold framework, the average score indicates that the students have basic to lower-intermediate receptive vocabulary knowledge but remain below the estimated threshold for independent academic reading and adequate spoken-text comprehension. These results suggest the need for diagnostic, level-based vocabulary instruction that strengthens high-frequency, mid-frequency, academic, and discipline-specific vocabulary. The study contributes local empirical evidence from an Eastern Indonesian higher-education context and offers a practical basis for English for Academic Purposes instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze workforce requirements in supporting the implementation of a lean organizational structure at PT Megatama Abadi IRS, Serang, Banten. Increasing business competition requires organizations to optimize human resources without reducing organizational effectiveness. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants consisted of HR managers, operational managers, supervisors, and employees from several functional divisions. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the company has implemented a relatively lean organizational structure characterized by simplified coordination, reduced bureaucracy, and multitasking practices among employees. Workforce planning is determined based on project volume, work complexity, project deadlines, and employee competencies. The implementation of a lean organizational structure has improved coordination efficiency, accelerated decision-making, reduced operational costs, and enhanced organizational productivity. However, several challenges remain, including workload imbalance, increased work stress, employee fatigue, and dependence on highly competent personnel. Therefore, periodic workload evaluation, clearer job descriptions, competency development, and continuous training programs are necessary to ensure that organizational efficiency is balanced with employee well-being. The study contributes to the human resource management literature by demonstrating that lean organizational structures should be supported by systematic workforce planning to achieve sustainable organizational performance.

Abstract

Salesman administration travel procedures are crucial for supporting the smooth operation of a company, particularly in marketing activities and achieving sales targets. Structured travel administration is essential for ensuring the effective submission, implementation, and accountability of expenses in accordance with company policy. This final project examines the salesperson travel administration procedures at PT Gandum Mas Kencana, the challenges encountered during implementation, and the company's solutions to address these challenges. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and literature review. The results indicate that the salesperson travel administration procedures are well-functioning and supported by a structured administrative system. However, several challenges remain, including changes to travel schedules, lengthy approval processes, and missing or incomplete expense documentation. To address these challenges, the company is improving coordination, reviewing reports, and implementing more effective travel planning.
