Abstract

Background: Midwifery educational institutions have an important role in the scoring power of professional andqualified midwives. To be able to produce a professional midwife as expected, then it takes a model of effective andinnovative learning.Objective: To know the effectiveess of reflective learning on Student Academy Midwifery Yogyakarta.Method: This type of research survey with descriptive study. The research at Academy of Midwifery in Yogyakarta.Sample student research level I, II, and III. Sampling using a minimum sample size. Variable independent variable research, namely is the reflective learning. The dependent variable is the attitude of professional midwiferystudents.Result: The result showed statistical significance (P <0.05) between the independent variable (reflective learning)with the dependent variable (professional attitude) with a prevalence ratio 2.13 95% CI (1.62 to 2.78).Conclusion: Students who did reflective learning finely will have a chance to do a good professional attitude.Keywords: Reflective learning, professional attitude, midwifery student

Abstract

Background: Iron deficiency anemia is a decrease in hemoglobin concentration (<12 g / dL) Due to the reduced provision of iron resulting in the formation of red blood cells (erythrocytes) is disturbed. Young women have the highest risk of suffering from anemia aged 13-18 years with a prevalence of 22.7% Objective: This study attempts to knowing the difference in levels of hb adolescent girls who had iron deficiency by the provision of a tablet fe and the juice of guava in public junior high schools 2 rengat 2015. Method: The kind of research is analytic with the design quasy experiment using pretest-posttest randomized control group design. The analysis used is analysis of univariat bivariat and with test and test t-dependen t-independen. The population is the students of all class VII and VIII public junior high schools 2 rengat with samples from the students of 34 who had iron deficiency anemia who is in bundle up in the control group and 17 the students of the treatment group the students of 17. The control group given tablets fe and the treatment group given tablets fe and the juice of guava provided for 7 days. Result: The results showed an average of Hb levels in the control group before the intervention and after 10.612 10.506 while average Hb levels in treatment group before and after the intervention 10.576 10.918 with an average difference of 0.10 and 0.34. P value of 0.811 and 0.317> 0.05 Conclusion: there was no significant difference in mean hemoglobin levels between the control and treatment groups, however, judging from the average difference between the control group and the treatment occurs trend increase in the average hemoglobin concentration is 0.24. Abstract

Background: Performance posyandu cadres is something that can be done by a cadre of neighborhood healthcenter in accordance with its duties and functions are influenced by the attitudes, knowledge and skills which havereceived special training from the local health center to implement, maintain and develop the existing IHC activitiesin the area voluntarily.Objective: The purpose of this study is to know the factors that relate to the performance of cadres posyandu inPuskesmas Gunung Sahilan Kec. Kampar Kiri .Metode: This study used quantitative analytical method, the cross-sectional design. The population in this studywere all health cadres in 18 neighborhood health center in Puskesmas Mount Sahilan District of Kampar Kiri in2012, amounting to 114 people. The sample in this study was the total population, so the sample in this study were114 cadres.Result: The results obtained are of young age of 45 respondents who most of the cadres Posyandu have a goodperformance as many as 24 respondents (53.3%) with significant value of 0.003 (p value < 0.05), from 67α respondents had education Low largely posyandu cadres have poor performance as many as 50 respondents (74.6%)with significant value of 0.009 (p value < 0.05), from 52α respondents who said coaching is not good most of thecadres Posyandu have performance not good as many as 37 respondents (71.2%) with significant value of 0.210(p value> ), from 68 respondents have a negative attitude mostα0.05 of the cadres Posyandu have poor performance as many as 52 respondents (76, 5%) with significant value of 0.002 (p value < 0.05), and 58α respondentswho either do not have the perception that the majority of cadres Posyandu have poor performance as many as 41respondents (70.7%) with significant value for 0.190 (p value> )α0.05Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is a significant relationship between age, education and attitude.Keywords: Performance, Posyandu cadres

Abstract

Background: Based on Statistics Indonesia in 2014 for HIV/AIDS cases showed an increase in the reportednumber of HIV/AIDS from January 1 to September 30, 2014 amounted to 22 869 people living with HIV and1.876 for people with AIDS. The cumulative number is highest at age 20-29 years and 9796 patients alreadyhave death. Yogyakarta Special Region has now ranks 14th as a province that has people living with HIV/AIDSin Indonesia’s largest. Total cumulative from 1 April 1987 to 30 September 2014 as many as 2,611 in phase HIVdan 916 has entered the phase of AIDSObjective: To determine the effect of education on HIV/AIDS to increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS in class XIstudent of SMAN 1 Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta.Methods: This research method is Pre-Experimental. The design of this study is one group pre-test post-test. Thesampling technique using proportional random sampling. Calculation of sample size was obtained by 46 respondents. The samples in this study was taken from each class with absent odd number, take 3 classes in a class of12 people and one taken 10 people.Results: The results of pre-test counseling about the effects of HIV/AIDS to increase knowledge of students ofclass XI SMA Negeri 1 Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta on HIV/AIDS, most students have less knowledge of 40 students(87%). Results of the post-test after counseling on HIV/AIDS to increase the knowledge class XI SMA Negeri 1Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta, most respondents have enough knowledge to 34 students (73.9%).Conclusion: The effect of counseling on HIV/AIDS is very effective for increasing knowledge about HIV/AIDS inclass XI student of SMAN 1 Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta. Evidenced by no significant difference before and aftercounseling on HIV/AIDS in class XI student of SMAN 1 Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta, ie 0.000 <0.05 significancevalue of 0.000 (p <0.05).Keywords: Education, Science, Youth

Abstract

Background: Learning achievement is the level of success in learning the subject matter is expressed with a gradeevery field of study after experiencing the learning process. Good family support will assist students in achievingoptimal, besides from the family, motivation can be obtained from the surrounding environmentObjective: To determine the relationship of family support with student learning achievement.Methods: This research is descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. Population of the research are student level II at DIII Midwifery Academy Of Mamba’ul Ulum Surakarta. The number of samples are 79 students witha total population. Instruments of research on family social support variables using questionnaires, while variablelearning achievement using secondary data. Relationship analysis two variables with chi square analysis.Results: Based on the results obtained by analysis of a significant relationship between social support families withlearning achievement (OR = 3.20; 95% CI 1.14 to 8.93; p = 0.027).Conclusion: There is a relation families social support with Learning achievement.Keywords: Familly Social Support, Learning achievement

Abstract

Background: In 2013 Midwifery Academy Yogyakarta formed a partnership with Ministry of Disadvantaged Areaswith the aim that graduates could be health workers in disadvantaged areas. West Nusa Tenggara still lackingmidwives has set midwives as PTT (civil impermanent servants). This study investigates the Antenatal Care competence of midwives in maternity care.Objective: to know how competence of midwifery academy graduates in providing antenatal care in West NusaTenggara province.Methods: The research method mixed quantitative and qualitative survey using questionnaires and interviews.The population comprised all alumni of Yogyakarta Midwifery Academy from the province of West Nusa Tenggarain Mei- July 2014. The samples were taken by purposive sampling representing alumni working in primary healthcenters, hospitals, and independent practiceResults: The alumni were 62 midwives. Most were working in Polindes or primary health center, having no integrated services mainly for laboratory examination. Midwives working in hospitals do not necessarily provide antenatal care, depending on their ward assignation. Complications or referral services were conducted in accordancewith standard procedures. Length of working experience improves the ability of midwives in the early detection ofcomplications and referral.Conclusions and suggestions: Antenatal care competence was in accordance with procedures. Midwives shouldincrease their knowledge and skills in accordance with the government program.Keywords: midwife competence, antenatal care.

Abstract

Background: According to the World Health Organization (WHO), diarrhea is the second leading cause of death ininfants. According to the results Riskesdas 2007, diarrhea is the number one cause of death in children under five(25.2%). Based on PHO reporting cases of diarrhea DIY highest in Kulon Progo by the number of 25 491 diarrheacases were handled. Data from the Health Department Kulon Progo 2015. Most cases of diarrhea are at the healthcenter Sentolo 1, 2015 found 242 children under five.Objective: To determine the incidence of diarrhea in children under five in Puskesmas Sentolo I Kulon Progo during 2015.Methods: This study is descriptive quantitative, with retrospective time approach. Data collection tools using medical record using secondary data. The subjects all under five with diarrhea in 2015 amounted to 102 infants.Results: Of the 102 respondents mostly under five with diarrhea aged 1-3 years (77.5%), gender is male (52.9%),good nutritional status (73.5%), and had diarrhea without dehydration of (80.4%).Conclusion: Of the 102 respondents mostly children under five with diarrhea majority aged 1-3 years with malegender, good nutritional status and had diarrhea without dehydration.Keywords: Genesis Diarrhea, Toddler

Abstract

Background: 75% of Indonesian women have ever used femininity liquid cleaning soap that was In Indonesia,55% of productive woman had tormented by dysmenorrhoea, with pravelence ranging from 45-95% in productiveage (Proverawati and Misaroh, 2009). The womenhad dysmenorrhoea more bad in achievement than the womenhad not dysmenorrhoea. The usage of warm compresses were a way to eliminated or decreaced the pain withoutside effetcts.Objective: Knowing the knowledge of young women in the handling of primary dysmenorrhoea with warm compresses in especially include menstruation comperhension, the cause of dysmenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea indication, and handling of primary dysmenorrhoea.Method: Descriptive as the kind of research with survey in approach. The research population amounted to 50respondents was all young women in Class XI IPA of 1 Mlati Senior High School, Sleman,. The sampling techniqueof sample. The tool of collection used questionnaires. The data analysis used univariant and described in precentage.Results: The young women knowledge about handling of primary dysmenorrhoea with warm compresses weremostly good category (76%), that includes about menstruatuon comperhension were mostly good category (100%),dysmenorrhoea comperhension were mostly good category (70%), the cause of dysmenorrhoea were mostly lesscategory (64%), dysmenorrhoea indication were nostly less category (60%), handling of primary dysmenorrhoeawere mostly good category (76%).Conclusion: The young women knowledge about handling of primary dysmenorrhoea with warm compresses inClass XI IPA in 1 Mlati Senior High School, Sleman, Yogyakarta were good at 76%.Keywords: The knowledge, young women, primary dysmenorrhoea, warm compresses.

Abstract

Background: Adolescent life is a life that is crucial for the future of the rest of their lives. Adolescent delinquencecan happen when sociological and psychological needs are not well, so that will bring various pattern of aggressive behavior and tend toward the negative. Aggressive behavior problems tend to be negative and it cannot beseparated from mental problems, and the psychological journey dominant in adolescents is still unstable. Influencescoming from the outside often have an impact that brings them to risky behaviors such as smoking, free sex, anddrugs. Therefore, this study aims to find the effect of media exposure on adolescent risk behavior.Method: The type of research used in this research is a survey research of cross sectional approach. The samplein this research is a part of the population of the students of class XI SMK Sudirman Semarang from June until July2015 which amounted to 39 students. The sampling techniques used are a sampling of saturated.Result: Data obtained by the majority of adolescent who have high-risk behavior as much as 53.8%. Media exposure mostly give positive exposure to 61.5%. Results of the correlation of Chi Square p value = 0.000 (p <0.05). Theinfluence of the incorrect information may negatively impact if not matched with the right information from sourcesthat can be accounted for.Conclusion: There are any significant correlation media exposure with the risky behavior of adolescent.Keywords: risky behavior, adolescents, media exposure
