Contemporarily, globalization marked by every access in all fields has created a variety of problems in people's lives. In reality, the world now (as a product of globalization) is almost entirely dominated by Europe and the United States which clearly have different cultural roots with the Indonesian culture. The hegemony that occurs is not merely economical and political, but more than that, it is also the cultural project of modernity. The impact of globalization today has been able to uproot the Indonesian people from the cultural roots that become their inheritance. Dehumanization in the form of an acute moral crisis has also become a part that is almost inherent in the life of every human being. In this context, pesantren as Islamic institutions that are rich of the characteristics of the Indonesian people have strategic values in the development of a multicultural society. For the Indonesian people, the strategic role of pesantren in globalization as a moral development institution, da'wah institution, and educational institutions with a multicultural character and nationalism will greatly determine the direction and purpose of the future of the Indonesian people. The response of pesantren in addressing globalization in accordance with the roles and fields that they have worked on, "namely the field of moral guidance that is oriented live together through applied learning" will become urgent as a way of life among Islamic community of Indonesia. In this regard, the study on the role of pesantren in actualizing the multicultural insightful learning process will focus on: first, the actualization of the PAI system in Islamic boarding schools in the era of globalization; second, models of PAI development at Islamic boarding schools; third, the development of the PAI system with the model of organisms in Islamic boarding schools.

Islamic education is often claimed to fail in improving the character of the nation. This is due to the increasing number of social cases that occur and all of them are rooted in the decline of moral quality and character of the nation. In fact, there are still many Islamic education institutions that emphasize their tarbiyah aspects without compensating for the quality of their preaching. Whereas Islamic scholarship in nature does not recognize the existence of scientific dichotomy, as is the majority of western scientific products. Muslim thinkers themselves have offered many concepts of scientific integration, such as the thariqah al-ankabut theory of Amin Abdullah. This article aims to explore the reorientation of Islamic education to synergize the aspects of tarbiyah and da'wah as an alternative answer to various social problems. This article used a qualitative library research with the hope that a more comprehensive synthesis of thought will be produced on how important the reorientation of Islamic education is. This article concludes that social problems must be overcome from the root, namely the quality of faith that manifests in character in community life. Therefore, Islamic education must be integrative, so there must be harmonious synergy between tarbiyah orientation and da'wah. This is so that the output of Islamic education is truly capable of animating and authenticating the unity of Islamic scholarship which is integrated in all aspects of life. Good cooperation is needed among all stakeholders to realize the reorientation of Islamic education, due to the increasing diversity of social problems.

In Islam, the term family is known as usrah or ahl, which is a basic and natural institution, in which every human being must experience. Families have reproductive, religious, recreational, educational, and social functions. By carrying out the functions and roles mentioned above, it is expected that children are intellectually intelligent, emotionally and spiritually intelligent. But so far intelligence, known by the general public especially in the family environment, is only intellectual intelligence or IQ, where the level of child achievement is measured only through the Intelligence Quotient (IQ) test alone. However, there are still other intelligence potentials such as Emotional Quotient (EQ) and or Spiritual Quotient (SQ) which can develop in children. One combinative and innovative intelligence development offered by Ary Ginanjar Agustian is by combining EQ and SQ without denying IQ. It is a combination of brain ability and emotional enthusiasm with the values of justice and divine norms which make spiritual as a means of transfer of knowledge and transfer of value with the name ESQ concept.

The issues of moral degradation are increasingly widespread. Developments have more or less given their influence on human personality, including Muslims. Tracing back, many hadith have told us about the importance of cultivating superior morals and personality. This article will examine the importance of fostering social piety in the perspective of tarbawi hadith. Hermeneutic analysis using a qualitative approach to literature study becomes a tool for a more comprehensive new synthesis. From the analysis, it can be concluded that moral education is indeed often alluded to in various hadiths of the Prophet. This is not surprising anymore considering the main mission of the Prophet Muhammad sent by Allah SWT to this world is to perfect morals. Moral education certainly comes from strong faith in humans. Strong faith will bring about noble character, which is then called individual piety. Individual piety can be seen from ritual piety and certainly will lead to social piety. Community life is not as easy as imagined, because it requires good interpersonal sensitivity and quality. That is why the Prophet often reminded Muslims to get used to social piety, starting from the ethics of visiting and being able to receive guests, or also the elegant ways of living. Of course social piety can start from small things such as answering greetings, visiting sick people, arranging bodies, fulfilling invitations, or also praying for our brothers who sneeze. Good social piety will certainly strengthen ukhuwah Islamiyah. All of this is expected to create a superior Islamic civilization. Therefore, in tarbawi hadith, social piety is indeed important to be cultivated in daily life.

This article aims to find out and describe the pattern of Islamic education moderation in Indonesian history. Islam in Indonesia is manhaj tawasuá¹ (moderate). With manhaj, Islam as a religion followed by the majority of the Indonesian population succeeded in entering into every aspect of life in Indonesia from social, cultural, economic and even political and government bureaucracy. Similarly, Islamic education managed to occupy an important position in education in Indonesia. Even though it is an alternative education, the fact is that Islamic education in Indonesia is a very important part to educate the nation. Moderation of Islamic education in Indonesia began with the first education model in Indonesia, namely pesantren. The pattern of moderation found from pesantren is cultural acculturation which is very obvious, from the knowledge learned to educational methods used, Arabic pegon to fill the language gap. The next phase is accommodation patterns that we can see from madrasa that adapts the classical government system from the colonial side. The next pattern is formalization that can be described through the phenomenon of state madrasas. Then, the latest is mu'adalah policy and formal diniyyah education. From these patterns it can be concluded that Indonesian Islamic education always takes the middle way (wasaá¹iyyah) of every challenge that arises due to historical movements. This modernization is a genius manner by paying attention to the rules of muḥafadzah ‘alÄqadÄ«m al-ḥÄliḥ wa al-akhdzu bi jadÄ«d al-aá¹£laḥ. With this understanding, Islamic education in Indonesia will always be relevant in every space and time (á¹£aliḥli kull zamÄn wa makÄn) as aspired by the salÄf al-á¹£aliḥ.

The education system is a whole component of education that is interrelated with one another. Better education system of a country will have a straightforward impact on the quality of the people in the country. The education system in Indonesia and Finland has differences and similarities. Teachers are both given autonomy to develop their teaching. Finland school is a place to grow and develop and is not a place to play and get scores but in Indonesia it is still score oriented, parents will be proud of their children who get good grades. In terms of educator recruitment, Finland set a minimum standard of S2 while in Indonesia at least S1. On the aspect of financing in Indonesian education, it still gets fund from students, but the government provides a variety of educational assistance at all levels such as BOS funds so that at the elementary and junior high school levels the cost of education is free because it is already covered by government assistance funds. Whereas Finland eliminates all education costs at all levels.

Pesantren or as usually assosiated to an Islamic boarding school is one kind of typical Indonesian Islamic education established by the community. In the process, most of the islamic boarding school seeks to respond to the demands of the times by modernizing its institution by establishing formal educational institutions ranging from pre-schools to higher education level. Besides, several islamic boarding schools try to remain its original characteristics as islamic educational institutions that focuses on tafaqquh fi al-din (religion deepening), which teaches the students how to understand the content of yellow book. Islamic boarding schools that seeks to combine the two dimension, while maintaining its identity as an educational institution that tafaqquh fi al-din but on the other hand also adopted the formal education system, especially higher education is then popularly known as integrated boarding school. This study was interesting to get further investigation in order to analyze and find the concepts and models of management of integrated educational between islamic boarding school and college and the implications for improving the quality of its graduates. This study used a qualitative approach with multisite study as its research design. Finally, the study concluded that the concept of integrated education initiated by Ma'had Dalwa Bangil and Pondok Ngalah Purwosari consist of two different concepts, namely "the concept of systemic integration" that defined as an idea that want to integrate all components of the education system in both institutions, by integrated the educators, learners, curriculum, and the building or other facilities. The second concept is "organic integrationâ€, it is about the idea that want to integrate the spiritualistic value inside the pesantren education and the values of college intellectuals. The concept of integrated education both systemic and organic has been implemented in two models: "structural model" and "cultural model". Structural model is a model that try to synthesizes boarding institution's organizational structure, while the cultural model is done by creating a culture in the two institutions that show balanced condition between spirituality and intellectuality. The two models have improved the quality of graduates at both institutions.
