Abstract

This qualitative descriptive research will critically analyze abouthow people in minority groups choose different ways to eliminate or overcome stereotypes on transgender issues and try to build good relations with dominant groups in order to be accepted in their environment. studied at the level of co-cultural communication theory by Mark Orbe.Information was obtained through informant interview techniques from the largest transgender community in Indonesia. The research results show that transgender groups in Indonesia still experience violence, discrimination and do not have a safe space. Minority groups have succeeded in adapting by using non-assertive communication methods in the majority community environment.

Abstract

Damage data for machinery at PT. XYZ power plant between October-December 2023 shows that the pump is the component with the highest number of failures, recording 28 incidents (33.7% of the total 83 failures), followed by the condenser with 27 incidents (32.5%). The combined failures of these two components account for 66.3% of the total failures, indicating a need for focused improvements on the pump and condenser. The MTTR analysis for the pump shows a high average repair time: 7.7 hours in October, 7 hours in November, and 7.7 hours in December, with low availability rates (89.64%-89.69%). The MTTF for the pump varies from 65.2 to 75.4 hours, indicating the need for improved preventive maintenance strategies. It is recommended that maintenance be carried out every 2-3 days or at least once a week. The condenser has an MTTR ranging from 6.7 to 7.7 hours and low availability (88.89%-89.95%), with MTTF varying from 66.7 to 92.7 hours. The high MTTR and low availability of these two components highlight the need for improvements in maintenance management to enhance performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how social status, lifestyle, and price influence purchasing decisions, with a focus on the role of digital payment methods among Andesti Jaya Shop consumers. The research utilized a quantitative approach, surveying 190 respondents from nine locations in Bogor City and Depok City, all of whom had made at least one purchase at Andesti Jaya Shop. Data analysis was conducted using Structure Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that social status and lifestyle do not have a significant direct impact on purchasing decisions. However, both price and the adoption of digital payment methods positively and significantly influence purchasing decisions. Additionally, social status, lifestyle, and price all positively and significantly affect the adoption of digital payment methods. The study also found that digital payment methods fully mediate the relationship between social status and lifestyle on purchasing decisions, and partially mediate the relationship between price and purchasing decisions. These insights suggest that businesses can develop strategies that leverage the positive impacts of pricing and digital payment methods to influence consumer purchasing decisions. For consumers, the study highlights the increasing importance of digital payment methods in shaping purchasing behavior, influenced by social status, lifestyle, and price considerations.

Abstract

PT XYZ, a large rayon fibre producing company in Indonesia, is the site of this study. Declining production, caused by a number of internal and external issues, including declining market demand and operational issues, is the basis of this research. The effect of organisational culture and knowledge sharing on employee performance, with job satisfaction as an intermediate variable, is the purpose of this study. This study uses a quantitative method that uses Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), which is based on data collected from 286 employees of PT XYZ. The results show that job satisfaction is a mediating variable that enhances the influence of organisational culture and knowledge sharing on performance and job satisfaction. In addition, job satisfaction is also shown to be a mediating variable that strengthens the influence of organisational culture and The main result of this study is that improving organisational culture and knowledge sharing practices is essential to increase employee satisfaction. Ultimately, this will lead to an increase in the general performance of PT XYZ employees.

Abstract

Niacinamide has a mechanism of action as an anti-aging agent by increasing fibroblast production by stimulating collagen synthesis and can increase elastin which can prevent wrinkles on the skin of the facial area. The most commonly used method is thin layer hydration followed by sonication. Determination of the optimum formula using expert design with the simplex lattice design method. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of Phosphatidylcholine concentration of 0.5-5% and Cholesterol concentration of 0.3-5% on the physical properties of niacinamide liposomes, obtain the optimal formula for nano liposomes niacinamide and determine the anti-aging activity of Niacinamide liposomes tested on the backs of rabbits. In the simplex lattice design method, the optimal formula of Phosphotidylcholine with a concentration of 4.7% and cholesterol with a concentration of 0.3% was obtained which produced nanoliposome characteristics including particle size of 135.7 zeta potential -77.19, Adsorption Efficiency of 98.01% and has anti -aging activity with parameters increasing collagen 29.98% and elasticity 65.56%. Niacinamide preparations provide a large increase in anti-aging activity and increase permeability so that they can provide a faster effect than niacinamide serum without liposomes.

Abstract

Naringenin (5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl) chroman-4-one) is one of the flavanone aglycone compounds that has the main activity as an antioxidant. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum formula and characterization of naringenin SNEDDS and to see the anti-aging activity of the optimum formula of naringenin SNEDDS. The optimum formula of naringenin SNEDDS was obtained by a combination of oil components, surfactants and cosurfactants (miglyol, tween 80 and transcutol) using the D-optimal mixture design method. The characteristics of naringenin SNEDDS are seen based on parameters such as drug loading, emulsification time, % transmittance, particle size analyzer (PSA) and zeta potential. The results of the optimum formula characterization test of naringenin SNEDDS obtained drug loading of 2.004507 mg/5 ml, emulsification time of 13.07 seconds, percent transmittance of 85.1%, particle size of 78.76 nm and zeta potential of -8.14 mV. Based on the results of the characteristics obtained from the optimum formula, the naringenin SNEDDS preparation meets the characteristics of good SNEDDS and has the potential to be developed into a drug preparation.
