Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic condition that cannot be cured but can be managed by modifying risk factors. Acute pain, such as headaches, is a common symptom among hypertensive patients and can be alleviated through non-pharmacological approaches like deep breathing relaxation techniques. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of deep breathing relaxation therapy for reducing acute pain in hypertensive patients. Using a case study method, data were collected through interviews, observations, physical examinations, and documentation in the Mawar Pink Room at Sidoarjo Hospital. The intervention involved three sessions of 10-minute deep breathing relaxation therapy over three days. Results indicated significant pain reduction, as measured by numerical pain scales, demonstrating the therapy's efficacy in alleviating acute pain and lowering blood pressure. The findings suggest that integrating deep breathing relaxation techniques into nursing care plans offers a valuable, non-invasive strategy to manage pain and improve patient outcomes in hypertensive care.

Abstract

The lack of effective information dissemination methods at MA Zainul Anwar Kraksaan has hindered the community and parents' understanding of school programs. This research aims to develop a web-based information system featuring multi-user management to address these challenges. Using the Research and Development (R&D) approach with the Waterfall model, the study involved stages of need analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data were collected through observations and interviews, and the findings were used to design a user-friendly system tailored to the school’s needs. The results demonstrate that the developed system significantly improves communication efficiency and transparency, streamlines administrative processes, and provides a robust information portal. The study recommends adopting similar systems in other schools facing comparable challenges to enhance communication and operational efficiency.

Abstract

Traditions are culturally ingrained practices passed down through generations, reflecting noble values. The Banjar tribe in South Kalimantan upholds the Baayun Bapukung tradition, a childcare practice involving placing infants in a sitting position wrapped in cloth and gently swinging them. This study examines the Bapukung tradition's significance in Ujung Purui Village and its impact on child growth. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, analyzed with NVivo software, and interpreted via Max Weber's social action theory. The results indicate that the community perceives Baayun Bapukung as a beneficial tradition supporting infant health and development. Rational and value-based motives underlie the practice, aligning with Weber’s instrumental rationality. However, pediatricians highlight potential risks, advising against tight swaddling or excessive swinging due to possible respiratory and physical complications. The study emphasizes bridging traditional practices with modern medical insights to support cultural preservation and child welfare

Abstract

Acute Limb Ischemia (ALI) is a medical emergency caused by a sudden decrease in blood flow to the extremities, often within less than two weeks. This review examines the definition, epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and management of ALI. The condition is primarily triggered by thrombosis or embolism in arteries previously affected by atherosclerosis. Characteristic symptoms include the "6 Ps": pain, paresthesia, poikilothermia, paralysis, pulselessness, and pallor. Diagnosis involves a combination of medical history, physical examination, and imaging, particularly Doppler ultrasound. Management strategies focus on prompt revascularization using catheter-directed thrombolysis, open embolectomy, or percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy. The Rutherford classification is employed to assess severity and guide treatment plans. Timely and effective intervention significantly improves patient outcomes, minimizes the risk of major amputation, and preserves limb function. This study emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in ALI management to optimize prognosis.

Abstract

Car Free Day is an initiative by the Indonesian government to reduce air pollution and promote environmentally friendly practices. In Kraksaan City, this program not only supports local SMEs by providing selling opportunities but also attracts significant public participation. This study aimed to assess the awareness level of Car Free Day visitors regarding green consumption and to identify barriers to adopting environmentally friendly consumer behavior. Using qualitative methods and descriptive research design, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. Results indicate that both visitors and participating SMEs lack understanding of green consumption principles. Many continue to consume and utilize non-environmentally friendly products, particularly in food packaging and transport choices. This study highlights the need for targeted education and policy measures to encourage sustainable consumption patterns during public events like Car Free Day.

Abstract

Heart disease remains a leading cause of mortality globally and in Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of effective healthcare services. This study analyzes the level of heart disease management at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital and its implications for public health in Riau Province. Using a literature review method, secondary data from scientific journals, Ministry of Health reports, and related publications were analyzed. The findings reveal that Arifin Achmad Hospital offers comprehensive heart care services, including intensive care, interventional cardiology, and inpatient and outpatient services. Despite these capabilities, challenges such as limited access for rural communities, a shortage of specialists, and insufficient facilities persist. Addressing these issues requires improving service capacity, adding medical professionals, and developing preventive education programs. Collaboration among hospitals, local governments, and organizations is critical to ensure equitable access and high-quality heart health services in the region

Abstract

Managing violation and trial data at the Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School Court is still done manually, causing issues such as administrative delays, recording errors, and difficulty accessing data. This research aims to develop a web-based information system to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and ease of data management. Using the prototype development method, the process involved needs analysis, rapid design, prototype development, user evaluation, prototype refinement, and implementation. Results indicate that the system significantly improves the recording and reporting process, reduces errors, and ensures fast and accurate data access. Furthermore, the system enhances transparency and accountability in managing violation cases, positively impacting the Court's efficiency and effectiveness. This research provides a reference model for other educational institutions to develop similar systems to manage violation and trial data.

Abstract

Digital literacy is a critical skill in the digital era, particularly for students residing in Islamic boarding school dormitories. This study examines the urgent need for digital literacy programs tailored to students at Universitas Nurul Jadid's dormitories using the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach. The research aims to identify students' digital literacy needs, uncover competency gaps, and develop a structured program integrating Islamic values into digital literacy education. A qualitative descriptive case study design was employed, utilizing participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation for data collection. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. Findings highlight significant gaps in students' understanding of digital tools and safe technology usage. The OBE-based program demonstrates potential in improving students' critical thinking, digital ethics, and information literacy while preparing them for the demands of a connected digital world. This study emphasizes the importance of bridging traditional Islamic values with modern digital skills to produce competent and ethical digital users.
