Abstract

Acne is a disease that most people suffer especially among adolescent, one of the causes of acne is usually caused by the growth of acne-causing bacteria that is Staphylococcus epidermidis. One of the ingredients that can be used as an antibacterial product is black cumin seed oil (Nigella sativa oil), it is known that black cumin seed oil contains Thymoquinone and α-pinen which are efficacious as antibacterial. This research aims to produce a cosmetic preparation in the form of a face wash that effectively cleans the skin from dust and dirt from makeup, as well as preparations that have antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus epidermidis by using the well diffusion method. Black cumin seed oil is formulated into facial foam in several concentrations, namely 3% (FI), 5% (FII) and 7% (FIII). Evaluation of fa cial foam preparations includes examination of organoleptic, pH, foam power, skin irritation, homogeneity, wetting power, alcohol insoluble portion, freeze and thaw, examination of mineral oil, washability and antibacterial activity. Data analysis using One Way ANOVA statistical test and descriptive. The result showed that the physical stability test, the three facial foam formulas have good physical stability and meet the pH requirements of topical cosmetic preparation. In the antibacterial activity test, it was found that the facial foam preparation of black cumin seed oil give inhibition of 15.37 mm (FI), 16.52 mm (FII) and 17.25 mm (FIII). Based on the one way ANOVA statistical data, the p value <0,05 which means that three is a significant difference in inhibition diameter between FI, FII and FIII which negative control and positive control. It is concluded that the facial foam preparations of black cumin seed oil was physically stable and based on antibacterial activity tests, it is known that FIII has the most bacterial resistance of 17.25 mm with medium resistance category.

Abstract

Proses pengolahan mempengaruhi kualitas kopi yang dihasilkan. tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh pengolahan basah dan kering terhadap rendemen, neraca massa dan kadar air dari biji kopi menjadi kopi bubuk. Hasil penelitian disajikan secara deskripif. Dalam proses penelitian dilakukan identifikasi proses produksi yang meliputi input produksi, proses produksi, output produksi dan menghitung neraca massa pada setiap proses. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar air bubuk kopi yang diperoleh dari proses pengolahan biji kopi secara basah adalah sebesar 1,7% sedangkan dengan pengolahan biji kopi secara kering adalah 1,6%. Sedangkan untuk rendemen biji kopi dengan proses pengolahan secara basah didapatkan sebesar 22,9% sedangkan secara kering 26,67%. Rendemen bubuk kopi baik peengolahan secara basah maupun kering didapatkan nilai sebesar 70%.

Abstract

Simpang Tiga Kampung Kalawi merupakan simpang tak bersinyal yang memiliki tiga kaki simpang yang terletak di jalan Raya Kalawi Kota Padang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya hambatan samping yang mempengaruhi kemacetan lalu lintas pada Simpang Tiga Kampung Kalawi, mengetahui kinerja jalan pada simpang, mengetahui tingkat kemacetan serta memberikan alternative penanganan solusi kemacetan yang ada di Simpang Tiga Kampung Kalawi. Analisis hasil penelitian menunjukkan kinerja simpang untuk kondisi simpang tak bersinyal didapat jumlah arus total 2244 smp/jam, kapasitas (C) = 2287 smp/jam, derajat kejenuhan (DS) = 0,981, tundaan simpang = 19,822 detik/smp dan nilai peluang antrian = 76,365% - 38,634%. Untuk alternative penanganan solusi kemacetan pada Simpang Tiga Kampung Kalawi karena derajat kejenuhan sudah melebihi >0,8 dari ketentuan Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia 1997 maka disarankan Simpang Tiga Kampung Kalawi perlu ditingkatkan pengaturannya menjadi simpang bersinyal pada Jalan raya M. Yunus waktu hijau (G) = 13 detik, Jalan raya Ampang waktu hijau (G) = 12 detik, pada Jalan raya Kalawi waktu hijau (G) = 11 detik.

Abstract

Modeling organic compounds with computational software is an option for researchers before conducting experiments in the laboratory. This helps to understand the mechanism of corrosion inhibition of metals on an atomic and molecular scale. Some of the common computational techniques used are DFT theory, MD and Monte carlo simulations. According to the literature, choosing organic compounds through modeling helps researchers determine the efficiency of the right inhibitor, saving time and money. Another advantage of this computational model is that it can easily determine the active sites/adsorption sites and the orientation of organic compounds. This review discusses indicators of corrosion inhibition contained in several computational models. The mechanism of corrosion inhibition by natural compounds and the types of inhibition of compounds are also discussed through polarization potentiodynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Moringa leaf extract temperature on the yield of Moringa leaf extract. This research was carried out at the Laboratory for Analysis of the Properties of Materials and Agro-industrial Products Dharma Andalas University, Padang. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design with several extraction temperatures, namely 45 oC, 50 oC, 55 oC, 60 oC and 65 oC with 3 replications. The results of the observations were analyzed using ANOVA and if they were significantly different then they would continue using the DNMRT follow-up test at the 5% level. The results showed that the extraction temperature had a significant effect on the total phenol of Moringa leaf extract.

Abstract

In carrying out the process of registering new members, disseminating information and managing data on the management of the Student Activity Unit (UKM) of Dharma Andalas University, Padang. And that is a problem for UKM administrators on the campus. An information system is needed that can manage the data collection process for registrants, dissemination of information on SME activities, as well as manage data files - data reports from SME management in a more structured manner.The purpose of this research is to design a web-based information system that can facilitate the management of UKM Dharma Andalas University activities, Padang and make it easier to register new members. There are 3 users who can access this system, namely main admin, UKM administrators and students. Each of them has a different role. The student page contains some information such as UKM profiles, announcements, registration, activity information and news about UKM. The method used in this research is the prototype method and the PHP programming language, MySQL as the database. The results of this study are to make it easier for UKM Dharma Andalas University to carry out the process of registering new members for UKM Dharma Andalas University and also to manage file management for each UKM easier and faster.

Abstract

Perhitungan pakan yang tidak relevan atau tidak sesuai dapat menyebabkan kurang atau berlebihnya pakan yang diberikan kepada ikan lele, hal ini mengakibatkan terganggunya proses pertumbuhan ikan lele, kurangnya pakan yang diberikan berakibat kanibalisme pada ikan lele. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Merancang dan membuat sistem informasi perhitungan pakan lele dengan menerapkan metode Blind Feeding dan Sampling Serta Membantu memaksimalkan kinerja POKDAKAN Palabah Indah agar lebih efektif dan efisien dalam mengontrol pengelolaan pemberian pakan lele sehingga tidak menimbulkan kerugian. Sistem yang akan dirancang adalah sistem informasi untuk perhitungan pakan ikan lele menggunakan metode blind feeding dan metode sampling. Penelitian dilakukan secara langsung kelapangan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, kemudian dengan mempelajari buku-buku, literatur yang berhubungan dengan masalah yang dibahas. Setelah data dikumpul, maka data tersebut dikelompokkan dan dianalisa menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML).Hasil dari analisis tersebut diterapkan ke dalam suatu program aplikasi sistem informasi pengolahan data berbasis phpmysql. Adapun metodologi yang menjadi pedoman dalam kegiatan pengembangan sistem adalah SDLC. Model SDLC yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah Model WaterFall. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu pembudidaya ikan lele di POKDAKAN Palabah Indah dalam memperkirakan dan menentukan jumlah kebutuhan pakan ikan lele selama pembudidayan.

Abstract

Low carbon steels are materials that are mostly used as materials of general construction. Because low carbon steels have high ductility, but the hardness is low and not wear resistant. This can be solved by changing the properties of the available material by the heat treatment process. The microstructure depends on the process experienced, especially the heat-processing process received during the process. Heat resistance to low carbon steel is important. Heat Treatment is one of the processes to change the metal structure by heating the specimen on electric trance (furnace) at recrystallization temperature for a certain period of time then cooled to cooling medium such as air, water, oil and diesel which each have different density cooling. In this heat treatment process the heating temperature is 800-900oC, 60% carbon powder and 40% Barium Carbonate as energizer which accelerates the process, the holding time is 20 minutes with the cooling medium is SAE 20 - 50 oil. The result is a material structural change that undergoes heat treatment process with the longest detention time of 20 minutes with a temperature of 900oC.From the results of material testing data it can be obtained a conclusion that the heat treatment obtained material that has high hardness on the surface and still soft on the inside.

Abstract

Forced vortex turbine is a turbine that utilizes water pressure to drive its turbine blades. Water is one of the natural resources that has not been utilized optimally, and is still rarely developed. The advantages of this vortex turbine that we make are very easy to operate, very minimal operational costs, can be monitored with a smartphone and also the LCD on the turbine, the ability to generate electricity, and can be used for practical mechatonic tools. course and energy conversion. There are many benefits of using a monitoring system as a measuring tool when checking data. The data to be monitored are water discharge, turbine rotation speed, generator rotation speed, vortex height, generated voltage, and power generated by the turbine. The C programming language is used to program the microcontroller that we use, because this programming language is classified as a programming language. programming that is not too complicated and the ESP32 microcontroller is used for control systems because it has a strong architecture with the input pins and output pins that we need fully available on this microcontroller, then features such as built-in WiFi, Bluetooth which are also built-in from the microcontroller and a large amount of memory. Abstract

This research aims to develop an entrepreneurial learning model in higher education using the CBT-DE (Computer Bassed Test For Digital Entrepreneurship) model which is adaptive and integrated using mobile-virtual learning. Problems that often occur with CBT that have been developed include 1) low level and nature of test adaptation, 2) flexible size and unit of test administration, 3) user interface issues, 4) automated test assembly and test quality control, 5 ) security risks. Overcoming the problems above requires smart solutions, which are able to overcome current and future problems. One of the solutions offered to overcome this problem is to modify the old test model with a computer-based test model CBT-DE (Computer Bassed Test For Digital Entrepreneurship) using adaptive and integrated Mobile-Virtual Learning using an expert system. The use of an expert system in the CBT-DE model aims to make it easier to modify the system, can be used on various types of computers and other mobile devices which will be useful in integrating systems, has the ability to adapt, and has reliable information facilities. With this research, the CBT-DE (Computer Bassed Test For Digital Entrepreneurship) model uses Adaptive and Integrated Mobile-Virtual Learning which is able to provide material sharing and entrepreneurship education assessment tests to students in identifying students who have entrepreneurial talent and those who do not have entrepreneurial talent. . So that in the future the vision and mission of Dharma Andalas University can be achieved as a University based on Technopreneurship (technology and entrepreneurship). The research method used in developing this model is the research and development (R and D) method with the 4 D model. The expected output of this research will be a model, a product in the form of a CBT-DE application, publication in a Scopus indexed international journal, and proceedings Scopus indexed international seminar.
