Abstract

TThis study aims to analyze the opposition of the 212 Islamic Group to the government led by Joko Widodo. This study uses a qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews with nine informants from the 212 Islamic Group and the Moderate Islamic Group. In addition to conducting interviews, data was collected from written information from books, online media, and journals. This study concluded that the opposition carried out by ‘Kelompok Islam 212’  (‘the 212 Islamic Group') against Joko Widodo has been carried out for a long time since the President of the Republic of Indonesia became Governor of DKI Jakarta. In that case, on the one hand, the opposition carried out by the group can strengthen democracy because there is a practice of checks and balances on power. Nevertheless, on the other hand, if this group wins, there is concern that the principle of democracy cannot be adequately implemented, because the group carries out exclusive practices politically and religiously.

Abstract

The intersection of religious freedom as a right or obligation still requires in-depth study, where the state should be present in providing certainty regarding this matter. The formulation of the problem of this research is first, whether religious freedom also includes the freedom not to have a religion. Second, how is the positioning of religious freedom in Indonesia according to Pancasila and the constitution. The research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive based on postpositivism and is used to examine the intersection of religious freedom in real conditions using literature studies such as books, scientific journals and scientific articles. The conclusion of this study is that religious freedom is actually a basic right that cannot be reduced under any circumstances, especially in the forum internum. However, its validity in Indonesia becomes an obligation when it is based on Pancasila and the constitution of legislation which indicates that Indonesia is a God-fearing country. Thus, a middle ground can be taken in terms of the placement of religious freedom based on the principles of justice and applicable positive law.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the communication ethics of the millennial generation on social media from a Pancasila perspective and according to the role of Pancasila moral values in dealing with technological developments. Advances in technology and science are directly eroding the ethics of using social media, thereby slowly reducing the noble values of Pancasila, which is the life guide and ideology of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia. In the era of the millennial generation, the use of social media is often misused. The reason is, the millennial generation tends to be susceptible to content spread on social media without filtering it critically. They truly believe that the content is fact, so they try to defend it with their stance. Socialization, regulatory enforcement, and social media literacy are some of the external ways in which this problem can be solved. Another internal way is to instill in the millennial generation various values and standards of life based on Pancasila and encourage the millennial generation to be involved in various positive productive activities on social media.

Abstract

This research explores the evolving concept of citizenship in the age of artificial intelligence and robotics. With the increasing integration of autonomous robots into society, traditional notions of membership, legal status, rights, and civic participation are being reexamined. The study focuses on the legal and ethical challenges of recognizing robots as citizens, using frameworks such as Stokke's four dimensions of citizenship: membership, legal status, rights, and participation. By analyzing current discourse on humanoid robots like Sophia, the research questions how, and under what conditions, robots could acquire citizenship. A qualitative approach is employed, drawing on various sources to critically assess the implications of robotic citizenship on societal structures, governance, and legal frameworks. The findings aim to contribute to the ongoing debate on the role of non-human entities in future societies, highlighting the need for comprehensive regulation and ethical considerations.
