Abstract

Phenomenon/Issue: The phenomenon explored in this study is the digital divide and its impact on elementary education, specifically how disparities in access to technology and digital literacy training affect student learning outcomes. In many developing regions, such as rural areas in Indonesia, schools face a significant lack of digital infrastructure, which prevents students from benefiting from technology-enhanced learning. Furthermore, even in urban areas where digital tools are available, gaps in teacher development hinder the effective integration of technology into classroom instruction. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how the digital divide and teacher development challenges intersect to affect educational outcomes in elementary schools. Novelty: This research is novel in its focus on the interplay between the digital divide and teacher development, an area that is often addressed separately in education research. Research Methods: This study adopts a qualitative research approach, utilizing semi-structured interviews with teachers and administrators, as well as classroom observations to gather in-depth insights. Thematic analysis is used to identify key patterns and challenges related to digital access and teacher development. Results: The results indicate that while access to technology is a major barrier in rural schools, even in urban settings, inadequate teacher training hampers the effective use of digital tools. Teacher development, especially in digital literacy, emerges as a critical factor in bridging the digital divide

Abstract

Phenomenon/Issue: The effective implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) in elementary schools faces numerous challenges, including resource limitations, inconsistent leadership quality, cultural acceptance issues, and inadequate stakeholder involvement. Purpose: This study aims to identify the factors that influence successful IQAS implementation in elementary schools, focusing on resource availability, school leadership, cultural support, structured quality improvement processes (PDCA cycle), and the role of external stakeholders. Novelty: While prior research has examined general aspects of quality assurance in education, this study uniquely analyzes the combined effects of resource allocation, school culture, and stakeholder collaboration, providing a holistic view of factors essential for IQAS success in elementary settings. Research Methods: A qualitative case study approach was employed, including semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis from selected elementary schools. Data triangulation and thematic analysis were used to ensure reliability and depth in findings. Results: Findings reveal that resource sufficiency, proactive leadership, a strong culture of quality, systematic application of the PDCA cycle, and active stakeholder engagement are critical to successful IQAS implementation. Research Contributions: This research provides a framework for policymakers and school administrators to enhance IQAS in elementary schools, emphasizing the importance of integrated resource support, leadership development, cultural alignment, and community involvement to achieve sustainable quality assurance.

Abstract

Elementary schools, inclusivity, multicultural education, socPhenomenon/Issue: As global societies become increasingly diverse, elementary education faces the challenge of fostering inclusivity and cultural understanding among young students. This study explores the effectiveness of implementing structured multicultural education models and the role of teacher training in enhancing these educational practices. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to assess how multicultural education impacts students' social attitudes and reduces biases in elementary schools, and to examine how teacher preparedness contributes to the success of these programs. Novelty: This study contributes novel insights by highlighting the dual importance of structured curriculum and comprehensive teacher training in successfully embedding multicultural education at the elementary level. Unlike previous studies, this research emphasizes the combined impact of curriculum design and teacher readiness on fostering inclusive social behaviors. Research Methods: Using a qualitative approach, this study gathered data from classroom observations, in-depth teacher interviews, and document analysis across diverse elementary school settings. Results: Findings reveal that multicultural education models positively impact students' social attitudes, enhancing empathy and tolerance. Furthermore, well-trained teachers are better equipped to deliver multicultural education, significantly amplifying its benefits. Abstract

Phenomenon/Issue:This research addresses the gap in digital transformation in MSME administration, particularly the lack of easily accessible digital tools in rural areas such as Banyumas Regency, which hinders modernization. Purpose:  The goal is to develop Digi-Ice, an integrated application that combines archive management, correspondence, product cataloging, and social media integration to transform SMEs into technology-based offices. Novelty: Its main innovation lies in the rural-specific design, the integration of administrative functions and digital business, and the collaboration between Jenderal Soedirman University and MSME actors. As the first Android-compatible application, Digi-Ice reaches rural users with high accessibility. Research Methods: The research method uses the R&D model by Mckenney & Reeves (2013) through three stages: problem analysis, design, and iterative implementation. Data were collected through closed questionnaires (validated by media experts) and trials on 40 SMEs Results: The validation results showed a feasibility score of 82.3% (experts) and 82.07% (users), confirming the application's effectiveness. The main advantages include structured archiving, social media integration, and Android compatibility, although there are limitations such as reliance on the internet and the absence of an iOS version. Research Contributions: The research contributes to the digital transformation literacy of MSMEs with empirical evidence, and supports the mission of universities and the government in rural economic development. Digi-Ice has become a replicable model for local technology interventions, strengthening the competitiveness of national MSMEs in line with Indonesia's digitalization agenda.

Abstract

Phenomenon/Issue: Entrepreneurial recognition is a pivotal but underexplored concept in entrepreneurship studies, particularly in understanding how individuals identify and act upon business opportunities. The current literature lacks conceptual clarity and systematic mapping of this domain. Purpose: This study aims to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to map the landscape of entrepreneurial recognition research and identify key themes, gaps, and directions for future inquiry. Novelty: Unlike prior studies that focus narrowly on opportunity recognition, this paper provides the first systematic bibliometric overview of “entrepreneurial recognition” using co-word analysis to uncover structural relationships between key concepts and trends. Research Methods: A total of 198 publications from 2011 to 2021 were retrieved using the Publish or Perish software from Google Scholar. After applying selection criteria, 97 articles were analyzed using VOSviewer to conduct co-word mapping, and performance and science mapping approaches as suggested by Zupic & Čater (2015). Results: The findings reveal that scholarly discussions around entrepreneurial recognition remain in early development, with core themes including opportunity identification, entrepreneurial alertness, and the role of human and social capital. The visualization outputs identify five research clusters and highlight a need for further exploration into conceptual clarity, theoretical diversity, and the role of entrepreneurial alertness. Research Contributions: This study contributes to the entrepreneurship literature by providing a visual and thematic synthesis of entrepreneurial recognition research. It offers a foundation for scholars to refine theoretical frameworks, broaden methodological approaches, and investigate under-researched constructs such as entrepreneurial alertness and its impact on opportunity identification

Phenomenon/Issue: Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the Wali Songo religious tourism area hold strategic potential in driving local economic growth and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Purpose: This study aims to formulate strategies to enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs through the utilization of financial technology (fintech) innovations and the strengthening of business administration as key leverage instruments to support the achievement of the SDGs Novelty: The novelty of this research lies in its integrative approach, which emphasizes the synergy between fintech innovation and practical business administration within the unique local context of religious tourism. It directly links these efforts to SDG indicators, particularly financial inclusion, inclusive economic growth, and poverty reduction. Research Methods: The novelty of this research lies in its integrative approach, which emphasizes the synergy between fintech innovation and practical business administration within the unique local context of religious tourism. Results: The implementation of QRIS and digital payment platforms has accelerated MSME transactions. Access to funding through fintech lending has expanded business capital. Abstract

Phenomenon/Issue: As the population increases, it will create new problems in Indonesia. Purpose: This research aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial interest among students, mediated by social media. Novelty: social media as a mediating variable between entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial interest Research Methods: This research uses a quantitative method with purposive sampling technique. The population in this study consists of students from the Faculty of Economics and Business at Surabaya State University, specifically from the Study Programs of Economic Education, Accounting Education, Office Administration Education, and Business Education, with a research sample of 232 respondents. Data analysis techniques using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the Smart-PLS4 tool. The testing model in this study includes outer model testing, inner model testing, and hypothesis testing. Results: The research results indicate that: (1) entrepreneurial education has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest, (2) entrepreneurial education has a positive and significant effect on social media, (3) social media has an insignifikcant effect in mediating the relationship between entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial interest, this the third hypothesis is rejected. Research Contributions: The research results are expected to serve as a reference for future studies and can be developed on a broader scale
