Abstract

In order to determine how the COVID-19 announcement affected the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI), this study examined IHSG, stock prices, abnormal returns as well as trading volume activity in the transportation industry from 2019 to 2020. Eighteen transportation companies were chosen for analysis over a 12-month period, centered around the event date of March 2, 2020, using purposive selection. The results demonstrate significant differences in IHSG and stock prices, but there are no significant distinctions in abnormal returns or trading volume activity prior and after the COVID-19 notificationt. This study contributes important new information about the complex ways that the pandemic has affected financial markets, particularly in the transportation sector.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the impact of the capital structure, asset structure on effective tax rates with intervening variables of financial performance and profit management on the BEI-listed tobacco industry in 2019-2022. The study uses descriptive quantitative data with secondary data obtained from the annual report of the cigarette company for 2019-2022. The population of this study is cigarette companies that are listed in the BEI 2019-2022 using purposive sampling method. The research technique uses Smart-PLS4 software with SEM- PLS analysis consisting of an external model and an inner model. The test results showed from the nine hypotheses, that only the capital structure against profit management and the asset structure towards profit management were significant with a negative influence.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze and examine the effect of organizational climate, self-efficacy on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) with job satisfaction as an intervening variable in Bappeda employees in Payakumbuh City. This type of research is quantitative with a sample of 37 Bappeda employees in Payakumbuh City. The sampling method uses saturated sampling where all population members are used as samples. This study combines primary and secondary data. Primary data was collected through questionnaires distributed to all employees of Bappeda Payakumbuh City. Secondary data comes from pre-existing sources, such as government documents, archives, and the like. The data were processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis with the SmartPLS application. The results of this study are organizational climate and self-efficacy have a negative but insignificant effect on OCB, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on OCB. Other results show that organizational climate and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. This study also proves that organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on OCB through job satisfaction, as well as self-efficacy also has a positive and significant effect with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menguji pengaruh iklim organisasi, efikasi diri terhadap Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) dengan kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening pada pegawai Bappeda Kota Payakumbuh. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan sampel Pegawai Bappeda Kota Payakumbuh yang berjumlah 37 orang. Metode Pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh dimana semua anggota populasi digunakan sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini menggabungkan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada seluruh pegawai Bappeda Kota Payakumbuh. Data sekunder berasal dari sumber yang sudah ada sebelumnya, seperti dokumen pemerintah, arsip, dan sejenisnya. Data diolah menggunakan analisis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan aplikasi SmartPLS. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah iklim organisasi dan efikasi diri berpengaruh negatif tapi tidak signifikan terhadap OCB, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap OCB. Hasil lain menunjukkan bahwa iklim organisasi dan efikasi diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhap kepuasan kerja. Penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa iklim organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap OCB melalui kepuasan kerja, demikian juga efikasi diri juga berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan dengan kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel intervening. Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the effect of work culture, extrinsic motivation on employee performance with job satisfaction as intervening at the Payakumbuh City Transportation Office. This type of research is explanatory research with quantitative research methods. The sample in this study were all civil servants at the Payakumbuh City Transportation Office. Sampling in this study was carried out using saturated sample technique, where the entire population was used as a research sample. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through a questionnaire submitted directly to all civil servants at the Payakumbuh City Transportation Agency as many as 39 questionnaires. While secondary data comes from existing sources. The data was processed using variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis Partial Least Square (PLS), using the SmartPLS4 application. The results showed that work culture has a negative but insignificant effect on employee performance. Meanwhile, extrinsic motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, work culture has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and extrinsic motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. For job satisfaction, it has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between work culture and employee performance. Meanwhile, job satisfaction mediates the relationship between extrinsic motivation and employee performance at the Payakumbuh City Transportation Office. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh budaya kerja, motivasi ekstrinsik terhadap kinerja pegawai dengan kepuasan kerja sebagai intervening pada Dinas Perhubungan Kota Payakumbuh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh PNS pada Dinas Perhubungan Kota Payakumbuh. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik sampel jenuh, dimana seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang disampaikan secara langsung kepada seluruh PNS pada Dinas Perhubungan Kota Payakumbuh sebanyak 39 kuesioner. Sedangkan data sekunder berasal dari sumber-sumber yang sudah ada. Data diolah dengan menggunakan analisis Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis varians Partial Least Square (PLS), dengan menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya kerja berpengaruh negatif namun tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Sedangkan motivasi ekstrinsik berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Selanjutnya budaya kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja dan motivasi ekstrinsik berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Untuk kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Kepuasan kerja tidak memediasi hubungan budaya kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai. Abstract

This review paper examines the multifaceted growth challenges faced by Knowledge-Based Firms (KBFs) operating in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) firms in Iran. Through a comprehensive analysis, the study identifies critical barriers across several domains, including financial constraints, market development limitations, political, regulatory, and legal complexities, business model intricacies, and knowledge-based law enforcement issues. Unlike previous studies that typically focus on isolated factors, this research offers a holistic view of the obstacles impeding the growth of ICT firms within the specific context of Iran and its regulatory environment. Key findings reveal that financial challenges are compounded by limited access to high-quality equipment and skilled personnel, while market development is hindered by both domestic and international barriers. Regulatory and legal hurdles, including inadequate intellectual property protections and cumbersome administrative processes, further exacerbate these issues. The study also highlights the need for strategic reforms in policy frameworks, enhanced coordination among governmental bodies, and targeted support mechanisms to address the evolving needs of these enterprises. Based on the analysis, the paper proposes several policy recommendations aimed at fostering an environment conducive to the sustainable growth and innovation of Iran’s ICT sector. These include optimizing tax policies, facilitating international market entry, revising regulatory frameworks, and improving support for knowledge-based law enforcement. The findings highlight the importance of a nuanced and adaptive approach to policy-making to ensure the competitiveness and resilience of ICT companies in Iran's dynamic economic landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of Dividend Yield, Free float Percentage, Market Capitalization, and Volume affects Stock Price Changes on ex-dividend date. This research is quantitative descriptive research, the data analysis method used in this test is panel data regression analysis. The results of the research that have been carried out show that the Dividend Yield variable (X1) has a significant negative effect on Stock Price Changes (Y). Free float Percentage (X2) has no effect on Stock Price Changes (Y). Market Capitalization (X3) has no effect on Stock Price Changes (Y) Volume (X4) has a negative and significant effect on Stock Price Changes (Y). There is a significant joint (simultaneous) influence between Dividend Yield, Free float Percentage, Market Capitalization, and Volume on Stock Price Changes. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui bagaimana pengaruh Dividend Yield, Free float Percentage, Market Capitalization, dan Volume berpengaruh terhadap Perubahan Harga Saham pada ex-dividend date. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, metode analisa data yang dipakai pada pengujian ini adalah analisis regresi data panel.hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwa variabel Dividend Yield (X1) berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap Perubahan Harga Saham (Y). Free float Percentage (X2) tidak berpengaruh terhadap Perubahan Harga Saham (Y). Market Capitalization (X3) tidak berpengaruh terhadap Perubahan Harga Saham (Y) Volume (X4) berpengaruh negative dan signifikan terhadap Perubahan Harga Saham (Y). Terdapat pengaruh secara bersama-sama (simultan) yang signifikan antara Dividend Yield, Free float Percentage, Market Capitalization, dan Volume berpengaruh terhadap Perubahan Harga Saham.

Abstract

This study aims to determine behavior of donating by students at Universitas Andalas. The samples are selected using the convenience sampling method. The data obtained from 222 respondents will be analyzed using the PLS-SEM (SmartPLS). The main findings shows that female students tend to donate more than male students at Universitas Andalas, both in terms of frequency and the amount of donation. The second main finding is there seems to be no correlation between level of expenditures per month with amount of donation, and faculty where the student studies also relate to the donation amount and frequency. The practical implications of this study are for crowdfunding platform providers, website features and technology design need to be considered and managed properly considering that web quality has a significant effect on empathy and perceived credibility. Considering the potential of charitable crowdfunding between university students that is relatively high, studies related to the factors influencing charitable donations made through university students remain scarce.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengembangkan keterampilan wirausaha perempuan dalam mendukung pariwisata berkelanjutan di Pantai Lon Malang, Sampang, Madura. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui metode studi kasus, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi kondisi keterampilan manajemen, pemasaran, dan operasional wirausaha perempuan di kawasan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan di bidang-bidang tersebut sangat penting untuk memajukan pariwisata berkelanjutan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan komunitas lokal. Program pelatihan yang dirancang mencakup berbagai aspek manajemen usaha, pemasaran digital, serta operasional harian yang ramah lingkungan. Evaluasi program menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan yang terstruktur dapat meningkatkan kapasitas wirausaha perempuan, sehingga berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal dan pelestarian lingkungan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar pemerintah dan lembaga terkait mendukung inisiatif ini melalui kebijakan dan program pelatihan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The high competition in the hospitality industry drives companies to improve customer satisfaction and customer loyalty through appropriate marketing and service strategies. The aim of this study is to examine how customer satisfaction and loyalty are affected by brand image, service quality, customer expectation, and electronic Word of Mouth (e-WOM) on international chain hotel. This study uses a quantitative method with a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM), processed using SmartPLS 3.0 and SPSS 26. The sample in this study consisted of 495 respondents selected purposively, with the criterion of having visited an international hotel in the last two years. The analysis results show that brand image does not have a significant effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Service quality has a significant positive effect on both. Customer expectation does not affect customer satisfaction but has a significant effect on customer loyalty. E-WOM has a significant effect on customer satisfaction but not on customer loyalty. Meanwhile, customer satisfaction proves to be the most significant factor in influencing customer loyalty. These findings have important implications for hotel management in designing strategies to improve service quality and customer experience as an effort to build long-term loyalty.
