Abstract

The economic growth of communities in the trade sector in Indonesia is influenced by various factors, including the role of Islamic banking. This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic banking on community economic growth, focusing on the variables of Capital Adequacy Ratio, Financing to Deposit Ratio, Non-Performing Loan, and inflation from 2018-2023. The research method used is panel data regression. Data analysis used panel data regression to measure the relationship between capital adequacy ratio, financing to deposit ratio, non-performing loans, inflation, and gross domestic product (GDP). Data were obtained from reports from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Central Statistics Agency. The results show that the Capital Adequacy Ratio, Financing to Deposit Ratio, and Non-Performing Loan individually do not significantly impact economic growth in the trade sector, while inflation has a significant effect. This study emphasizes that inflation has an important role in understanding the impact of Islamic banking on economic growth in the trade sector. The results of this study indicate that controlling inflation strengthens the contribution of Islamic banking in driving community economic growth.

Abstract

Financial literacy plays a crucial role in preparing retirement planning. Without a good understanding of financial management, individuals will face financial challenges when retirement. This study examines the effect of financial literacy and demographics on individual retirement planning in Surabaya. This type of research is a comparative analysis with a sample of individuals already working and domiciled in Surabaya, selected using a purposive sampling technique and obtained 141 respondents. The data collection technique used a questionnaire distributed online via Google Forms on WhatsApp and Line media. The data analysis technique used was a Chi-square and one-way ANOVA test. The study results showed that financial literacy is essential in saving decisions but does not affect the savings chosen. Demographic factors such as age, education, income, gender, and marital status significantly influence saving decisions with a sign level, while only gender and marital status affect the choice of savings categories. This study implies that pension policies and programs should be designed by considering demographic characteristics, such as education level and income, to be more effective in encouraging retirement-saving behavior.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of fintech adoption on economic growth in Singapore and Malaysia during 2015-2023 using quantitative methods and the Common Effect Model (CEM) panel data regression approach. The results show that fintech adoption has no significant effect on economic growth in both countries, and only 0.44% of the variation in economic growth can be explained by fintech. In comparison, other factors influence 99.56% in both countries. Based on the analysis, the adoption of fintech theoretically has a positive impact on economic transformation and growth. However, from an empirical perspective, the effect of fintech on economic growth in both countries is not statistically significant during the study period (2015-2023). This study confirms the importance of fintech interaction with other macroeconomic policies to optimize its impact on economic growth. Strategic policy support and digital investment are needed to accelerate economic transformation in Singapore and Malaysia.

Abstract

The agricultural sector has an essential economic position, especially in developing countries. In Indonesia, rice is one of the primary commodities that meets food needs and increases regional income. Economic growth is influenced by interactions between economic sectors, including the agricultural industry. The input-output analysis method is used to assess the relationship between sectors and the impact of changes in the farming sector on the economy as a whole. This research explores the influence of rice harvest on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) through an input-output analysis approach. The research results indicate that increasing rice yields affects the agricultural sector's input-output value and final demand, impacting the GRDP of Lampung Province.

Abstract

This study aims to estimate the value of Willingness to Pay and identify the influence of factors on WTP in improving the quality of green economy-based biopesticide products in Candiwatu Village, Pacet District, Mojokerto Regency. The method used is quantitative descriptive analysis with the Accidental Sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using the Contingent Valuation Method and multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed that the average additional nominal that the community was willing to pay for quality green economy-based biopesticide products was IDR 32,000. From the multiple linear regression test, it was found that partially three variables that significantly influenced WTP were agricultural land area, income, and biopesticide product quality. Simultaneous testing showed that all variables had a significant influence on WTP. These findings indicate that the community has a willingness to pay to support the use of environmentally friendly products that can increase the proportion of sustainable fertilizers, with income, land area, and product quality being the main aspects driving the decision.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the impact of inflation rate and environmental quality on Indonesia's economic growth during 2019-2022. The research uses panel data regression methods with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach to examine the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable. Secondary data were obtained from various official sources, including Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. The results show that the inflation rate has a negative effect on economic growth, whereas high inflation reduces economic growth. Environmental quality positively affects economic growth, indicating that improvements in environmental quality can promote economic growth. Simultaneously, all independent variables, both inflation rate and environmental quality, significantly influence economic growth in Indonesia. This study concludes that controlling inflation and improving environmental quality are crucial in promoting sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.
