Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the role of the Cash Waqf Linked Sukuk instrument in increasing export financing for Indonesian MSMEs. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using secondary data obtained from literature studies. Cash waqf can be utilized not only in religious-based domains but also in productive economic sectors. In the context of developing Indonesian export trade, Islamic financial instruments, namely CWLS, serve as a source of funding for the government and are channeled to the Indonesian Export Financing (LPEI) Institution for financing MSMEs based on Sharia principles. Export financing will be repaid to LPEI which will be distributed to the government in the form of taxes, non-tax deductions and a share of government profits. On the other hand, the government provides periodic returns to BWI which are then distributed to Nadzir to be managed for social interests.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the Islamic economic thought articulated by Ibnu Miskawaih, a prominent Muslim philosopher of the 10th century. The urgency of this research lies in the need to understand the foundations of Islamic economics rooted in ethical and moral values. The research method employed is qualitative with a historical approach and content analysis. The theory used in the analysis is the virtue ethics theory espoused by Ibnu Miskawaih, emphasizing the importance of justice, balance, and happiness in economic life. The findings indicate that Ibnu Miskawaih's economic thought emphasizes fair wealth distribution, the avoidance of usury practices, and the role of the state in regulating the economy for the common good. The analysis and discussion compare these thoughts with conventional economic theories, finding alignment in basic principles but differences in practical applications. The conclusion of this research is that Ibnu Miskawaih's economic thought offers an ethical and sustainable alternative to modern economic systems, which often neglect moral aspects. This thought is relevant for further study in the context of contemporary Islamic economic development. Keywords: ibn miskawaih; islamic economics thought; virtue ethics; wealth distribution; suistainable economy.

Abstract

In order to determine how well Islamic financial products promote financial inclusion in the society, this study performed a bibliometric examination of the literature on Islamic finance and financial inclusion. The scholarly literature is analyzed for trends, patterns, and study focus using a bibliometric technique. Information gathered from 920 publications that were mentioned over 568,52 times between 2010 and 2024 demonstrates the literature's major contribution to the growth of the Islamic finance sector. While citation analysis identifies the subjects receiving the greatest attention in the literature, network visualization of research themes and trends shows the progression of ideas from theoretical to practical applications. These results offer a clearer picture of the growth of the Islamic financial sector and the obstacles in the way of achieving greater financial inclusion in society. By delving further into the patterns and trends seen in scholarly works, practitioners and policymakers may create more effective plans to increase public access to Islamic financial services while adhering to Islamic principles.

Abstract

Indonesia is the world's largest Muslim consumer, COVID-19 contributed to the rapidly growing percentage of Internet users and online shopping as well as the availability of an easy-to-access e-commerce platform that encourages user consumption. The act of consumers spontaneously purchasing products without consideration is known as impulsive buying behavior, even though Islam forbids excessive consumption and waste. As no policy governs consumption, this study is critical in providing a reference for policymakers. This study investigates the factors that influence Muslim consumers' impulsive purchasing behavior when shopping on an e-commerce platform. The findings indicated a significant relationship between religiosity and attitudes. While attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control impact impulse buying intentions, intentions significantly influence impulsive buying behavior. To prevent impulsive buying behavior, the government and NGOs must be involved in outreach and education to prevent impulsive buying behavior.

Abstract

This study explores the innovation of parallel salam contracts as a solution for Sharia financing in the agricultural sector. Parallel salam contracts allow for advance payments for goods to be delivered in the future, thus providing farmers with initial capital. The approach used is qualitative with descriptive-analytical methods involving literature studies, interviews, and observations of financing practices in Islamic financial institutions (IFIs). The study results indicate that this contract innovation can increase financing flexibility, operational efficiency of IFIs, and compliance with Sharia principles. However, there are challenges in the form of operational risks, uncertainty in the quality and time of delivery of goods, and the need for supporting regulations. With good risk management, adoption of digital technology, and collaboration with the agricultural sector, parallel salam contracts can accelerate Sharia financial inclusion in Indonesia. In conclusion, parallel salam contracts have great potential as an innovative financing alternative in the agricultural sector. Regulatory support, socialization, and technological infrastructure are needed for the successful widespread implementation of this contract. This study significantly contributes to developing Sharia financial products based on market needs and Sharia principle
