MSMEs have a very important role as one of the pillars of national economic income, for that it is very important for MSME actors to ensure the legality of their business so that they can access financial facilities from banks and financial institutions. The certainty of products to have halal certification is a necessity considering the target population in Muslim-majority Indonesia. This study aims to measure and analyze how much influence legality and halal labels have on MSME income by using product advantages as mediation variables. This study used quantitative methods. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression analysis, path analysis, and partial tests. The results of the partial test (t-test) showed that the legality of the halal labeling business and product competitiveness had a positive and significant effect on the income of MSMEs in the Bhinangkit Community, while the coefficient of determination (R2) test showed that the influence of business legality, halal labeling, and product competitiveness on MSME income was 89.7%. The path analysis shows that business legality and the inclusion of halal labels have no effect on MSME income mediated by by-product competitiveness with a calculated t value of 0.2496 for business legality and 0.0344 for halal label marking.

Economists argue that positivism refers to science and economic activities should be value-free. This means that the norm variable is not included as a variable that has an important meaning for both output and production input. This is not the case with Islamic economics, which firmly states that economic activity is bound to value or is not value-free. This research aims to show evidence of shirkah or profit-sharing contracts and to dissect how elements of values and ethics accompany the business activities of Indonesian farming communities. The method used is a qualitative approach with case study techniques. Literature studies are also used to strengthen the validation and triangulation stages. This research shows that Shirkah contracts are found in agricultural activities in various regions in Indonesia, including those known as maro (50:50), mertelu (1:3), etc. Shirkah, as one of the contracts in Sharia finance, is an actual implementation of enforcing norms and ethics. The Shirkah contract manages the risks inherent in all business cycles, both during profits and losses, which is typical in all sectors. Shirkah contracts systematically work and control competition and business risks with an ethical and normative approach. The Shirkah contract also suppresses economic injustice and unequal distribution of resources and business profits. The domino effect of the values of the sharia contract is not only limited to production-sharing agreements between sharecroppers and land owners but also spreads to the spirit values of sale and purchase (Murabaha) and rental (ijarah) agreements and includes broad implications for all aspects life. Farmers and cultivators are actively involved in upholding the values of justice, risk sharing, and togetherness in facing the cycle of profit and loss that automatically occurs as a lifestyle. This paper presents some reflective perceptions of the current issues and the future challenges facing the Halal supply chain sector. Of particular concern is the challenge of attracting suitable talent to sustain its fast growth and developing future leaders to ensure that cross-border interactions remain culturally safe and respectful. Whilst it is agreed that much work has begun in establishing technical Halal competence within supply chains (Abd Rahman, Abd Mubin, Yusof, & Kamarulzaman, 2021; Hashim & Shariff, 2016), there remains a dearth of discussion around the design and development of a leadership framework to ensure its ongoing sustainability. In this respect, current knowledge around leadership in the Halal diaspora appears to consist of narrow definitions drawn from dominant Western-centric understandings of effective leadership (Weir, 2010). However, since these definitions are disconnected from their cultural contexts and cross-border implications, they can result in incongruities in their application, particularly in an Asian context (Harsanto & Roelfsema, 2015). The increasingly complex trading environment in this area would suggest that more focused research is needed to develop meaningful, respectful and relevant Halal sectorial leadership competency frameworks that successfully integrate the necessary socio-political values and cross-cultural complexities inherent in modern supply chains.

Various correlated variables affect the transformation of the Islamic economics in the context of society 5.0. These variables include halal supervision and certification, public awareness of sharia principles, product and service innovation, collaboration between Islamic financial institutions and technology companies, and integration of advanced technology. New product and service innovations, such as sukuk bonds and Islamic mutual funds, also contribute greatly to the transformation of the Islamic economics. On the other hand, the integration of technologies such as fintech and blockchain has increased accessibility and transparency in Islamic financial services, and increased public awareness of the benefits of the Islamic economics has increased demand for Islamic goods and services. Technology companies and Islamic financial institutions work together to produce innovations in Islamic financial services, while technologies such as blockchain ensure authenticity and transparency in the halal industry. Understanding these components is important in transforming the Islamic economics towards a more inclusive, sustainable and ethical economic system in a 5.0 society.

This article raises the theme of Zakat as the Main Pillar of Meaning of Social Justice using descriptive qualitative research methods. This research describes the concept of zakat in Islam, social justice in Islam, and the role of zakat as a tool for interpreting social justice. Research findings show that social justice is the main foundation in various legal and economic systems in many countries. The principle of zakat in Islam appears as a key element to achieve this goal. Zakat, as an obligation of Muslims, is not only a social charity, but is also integral to the Islamic economic system to create a fairer distribution of wealth. The importance of zakat is not limited to Muslim communities, but has universal relevance. Concepts such as social solidarity and collective responsibility for the common welfare that underlie zakat can be an inspiration for achieving social justice in various communities and nations. Involving the community in the principles of zakat is expected to create an environment where wealth and resources are distributed more evenly, giving all individuals better access to reach their full potential. Thus, zakat is not only a religious obligation, but also an important instrument for achieving common goals in realizing social justice throughout the world.
