Abstract

The conclusion of this research is that the existence of fashl (separator) between mudhaf and mudhaf ilaîh contained in the qiraah of Ibn 'Âmir is a way that is accommodated by one of the Arabic syntactic opinions. Specifically, because mudhâf and mudhâf ilaîh are manzilah syaî´ wâhid (one unit), the presence of fashl between the two is not allowed. However, the qiraah of Ibn ʻmir asy-Syâmî narrated fashl between mudhaf and mudhaf ilaîh where the transmission is valid and has the argument that fashl between mudhaf and mudhaf ilaîh can in fact be found in the kalam of the Arabs

Abstract

This article tries to parse various gender biases that are found in many things such as leadership, education, social, inheritance to the depiction of various facilities in heaven as if justified by Islam. Whereas the main error lies in the error in understanding the Qur’anic text which is less extensive and the error in perceiving the interpreters of the Qur’an which is predominantly made by men. It can’t be helped, the solution is to put the above problems proportionally by tracing the root of the problem, examining the principles of gender equality in the Qur’an, exploring various interpretive biases in all Islamic literature, and finally the importance of socializing understanding that is not gender bias towards various concepts in Islam. By using this methodology, it is hoped that understanding of gender bias can be minimized and avoided, giving birth to a form of understanding that is more just, equitable and equivalent, which benefits progressive understanding of Islam in the future. With this effort, it is hoped that this understanding will become the starting point for a new, gender-free understanding of Islam, not an understanding that always contains gender bias in it.

Abstract

Mining exploration ethic discourse is a thought initiation that is started to be explained since human activity has a global effect toward life. Epistimologically, Its concept is also a confromity initiation ecofenomenology-bassed ethic with qualitative analytical philosophy approach (methaetic). Since it’s related with the Qur’an, then, it added a thematic exegesis approach (maudhu’i), so its main idea revealed behind literal meaning and being equipped with scientic, academic, argumentative and proportional signs. The author in this paper observes that a well and Qur’anic-inline expolation behavior in mining occurs not on a coercon process, yet, based on conciousness of human intersependency sense. As a result, theofanic methaethic intentionality relation which is formulated into the mining exploration ethic in Qur’anic perspective has a harmonious, justice and synergetic mission, as a holistic and integralistic manifestation of humans role in explorating, utilizing, and protecting mining resources through out 6-i (six-i) formulation: istima’r/result orientation, iradah/independent, irtibâtha/connectivity, ihsan/preferable, itqan/optimistic danIltizam/ consistent.

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the development of the study of the Qur’an and interpretation in the West and its influence on Muslim scholars. This paper uses descriptive analysis method. The development of Islamic studies in the West, especially the Islamic holy book, began with the translation of the Qur’an and Arabic literature from the Muslim heritage of Andalusia (Spain). The Western movement in studying the eastern world including the Islamic world was known as the Orientalism movement in the 18th century. Western scientific studies of the Qur’an have become a new trend and interesting object of research to the present. Many works were born by Western researchers who contributed to the development of Qur’anic studies in the Islamic world. Muslim scholars responded to Islamic studies in the West with various responses. Some accept and make it a new scientific discourse in Islam. But not a few also refused because they were told that the study contained certain motives behind it. Apart from the controversy, Islamic studies in the West continue to this day. The works of Western scholars have had a considerable influence on the development of thought in the Islamic world.

Abstract

This article describes the interpretation presented by K.H Ahmad Sanusi of several verses that explain about jihad (verses of war orders) in his commentary work Tamsyiyyah al-Muslimin fi Kalam Robbi al‘Alamin. The results of the study concluded that K.H Ahmad Sanusi interpreted verses about jihad as verses containing physical warfare orders with the aim of reviving or elevating the religion of Allah in a context limited to the time of war. K.H. Ahmad Sanusi lived during the two colonial periods, namely the Netherlands and Japan, which made his interpretation of jihad mean war against the Dutch and Japanese, because indeed at that time Indonesia was not yet independent and under Dutch occupation, which was continued with Japanese occupation. Although the interpretation of the verses of jihad does not include all verses in the Qur’an because of K.H. Ahmad Sanusi has not had time to finish his 30 Juz’ interpretation work, but his interpretation is still interesting as a study object, because the value of its locality that influences and contextualizes the time he lived. This is where, among others, differences in young interpretations with other masters.

Abstract

The following article discusses the rise of Islam, its theory and reality, which is referenced from the clash of world civilizations. There are at least three kinds of theories regarding the clash of civilizations. First, the clash of civilization theory, the two soft power theories (soft power theory), and the third constructivism theory (constructivism theory). These three theories, despite being mutually independent, can be intertwined in reality. However, of the three theories of clash of civilizations, the effect was more pronounced, which led to the rise of Islamic revival movements in various countries initiated by Jamaluddin Al-Afghani, Muhammad Abdul, Muhammad Rashid Ridho and Sayyid Quthb, which influenced all Islamic countries. The results are quite positive. Besides the muslin community realized the height of their civilization, they also realized that Western civilization was not the solution to world civilization. So that Islam was re-conceived as an alternative civilization that made human life even better, as had happened in the heyday of Islam. Of course in a different way with the previous method. So this is where the theory of soft power and constructive theory is needed to change the flow of world from materialistic to Islamic civilization.
