Abstract

The environment is very influential on the pattern of thinking and routine activities of students, moreover the desire for student learning interest which inevitably affects student learning outcomes. Many students whose activities only play with their friends, they do not want to learn because other friends also do not study. This study aims to determine the effect of the educational environment both family, school and community environment on student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were SMK Ar-Rahman students with Randome Sampling 200 students from 24 classes with a total population of 750 students. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires, observation and documentation.The data analysis technique is done by calculating the "product moment correlation". The results of the correlation between tripusat education (family environment, school environment and community environment) with students' mathematics learning outcomes showed a significant relationship. This is shown from the results of the correlation obtained from the family environment of 0.487, the school environment of 0.576 while the community environment is 0.289 with a significant level < 0.05 so the hypothesis is accepted. Sehinggan it can be concluded that the environment that has a strong relationship with students' mathematics learning outcomes is the school environment while the weak relationship that influences student learning outcomes is the community environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the writing ability of Quality university students, especially class 2A12 by using English. In improving writing skills, researchers used pictures as media to stimulate their abilities. From the results of observations made for some time, students' writing skills in English were very lacking. This happened because of the lack of stimulus used during the teaching and learning process, causing them to become less enthusiastic when given English assignments, especially writing assignments

Abstract

This study aims to identify whether the healing time delay period affects or does not affect the stability of disease-free equilibrium and the equilibrium of disease endemic. Time delay in the sense of this study is the time period of recovery. Time delay in this study is focused on a single specific model, by calculating the temporary and permanent state of the spread of the disease.The SIRS model used in this study with the assumption that all individuals who have recovered do not have permanent immunity to the disease, so they will return to the disease-prone class. The SIRS epidemic model divides the population into four subpopulations namely Susceptible, Infective, Recovered and Susceptible.This research was conducted by revising the SIRS epidemic model compartment which was then used to determine the model development equations represented in differential equation systems. The system describes the interactionbetween subpopulations with other populations.The results show that global disease-free equilibrium is stable for all  > 0 whenthe number of numbers is R0<1. It can be said that the time delay of the recoveryperiod cannot affect the stability of disease-free equilibrium. In other words, theeffect of the time delay recovery period can be negligible for R0 <1. However,when, R0 > 1 the stability of endemic equilibrium will be affected by the time delayof the recovery period.

Abstract

Community service is carried out in order to fulfill the Tridharma of Higher Education. This activity is in the form of "Classroom Action Research Writing Training in the Learning Process for State Elementary School Teachers 106162 Medan Estate". This Classroom Action Writing Training aims to improve teacher teaching patterns, improve student behavior, improve learning practices, change the teacher's framework in teaching so that there is an increase in teacher professionalism. The Class Action Writing Training activity was carried out by the Community Service Team, namely an Elementary School Teacher Education Lecturer (PGSD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Quality Berastagi University as a resource person and one of the students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program as a member. Classroom Action Writing Training was held on Monday, November 22, 2021 using the lecture method related to Classroom Action Research Writing. The results of the Class Action Writing Training are in the form of Systematics in making Proposals and Systematics of Classroom Action Research Results Reports. Participants of the Class Action Writing Training were very enthusiastic about participating in the training provided by the Community Service Team to gain Knowledge Insights in Class Action Writing.

Abstract

The aims of the study were to determine the effect of the student facilitator and explaining learning model and to determine the improvement of students' skills in the ability to explore law enforcement material in Indonesia at the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program FKIP UMSU 2018-2019 academic year. The first semester student population of Primary School Teacher Education Study Program FKIP UMSU 2018-2019 amounted to 82 students consisting of 2 classes, namely class A morning, B morning, the sample of study was Random sampling. This study used an experimental method with two-group post-test and only design. The normality test of the experimental class showed sig. 0.031 and the control class showed sig. 0.061. Homogeneity test, for the experimental class was 0.797 and the control class was 0.524. Test the effect / linearity for the experimental class and the control group 0.00, which meant that there was an influence between the experimental model and the control model on student exploration, the influence of an experimental model to the exploration was 63.6%. While the control model was 27.4%.

Abstract

Masa pandemi Covid-19 mengharuskan pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara online dengan menggunakan berbagai model pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran.Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Konsep Dasar IPA. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes hasil belajar dan observasi tingkat aktivitas. Dari analisa data diperoleh nilai rata- rata pretes mahasiswa sebesar 53.52 dan standar deviasi 10.338 dengan nilai tertinggi 65 dan terendah 30. Setelah materi diajarkan dari hasil postes diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 83.11 dan standar deviasinya 7.549 dengan nilai tertinggi 90 dan terendah 60. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran  Project  Based  Learning  efektif digunakan pada saat pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan variasi mengajar guru terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 105401 Namo Linting Kecamatan Sibolangit (Sumatera Utara) Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019.Jenis penelitian adalah korelasional dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 24 orang.Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket berisi pertanyaan tentang variasi mengajar guru (X) dan hasil belajar siswa (Y).menggunakan hasil ujian tengah semester. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan statistik korelasi product moment dan uji-t.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi mengajar guru tergolong baik dengan skor rata-rata 77,38 dengan standar deviasi sebesar 9,01 walaupun masih adavariasi mengajar guru yang skornya di bawah rata-rata. Hasil belajar IPA siswa tergolong baik dengan nilai terendah60, dan nilai tertinggi adalah 90 dengan rata-rata 77,42 dan Standar Deviasi 10,53. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai yaitu rhitung 0,8638 > rtabel 0329, dan thitung 8,04 > ttabel 2,0739 . Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variasi mengajar guru dengan hasil belajar siswa.Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada Hubungan Variasi Mengajar Guru dengan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran IPA di Kelas V SDN 105401 Namo Linting Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019

Abstract

This research aims to find out: (1) Differences in student learning outcomes taught using Camtasia media with conventional media; (2) Differences in student learning outcomes that have visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles taught by Camtasia media; and (3) Differences in student learning outcomes that have visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles that are learned with conventional media. The population in this study was grade V students of SD Negeri 060798 Medan Area, amounting to 82 students consisting of 3 classes. While the study sample is all 3 classes. The research instrument was in the form of a science learning outcomes test, and a learning style questionnaire. This research method is quasi-experimental hypothesis analysis technique t test; and analysis of variance. The results showed that: (1) Student learning outcomes taught with Media Camtasia 85.26 ± 5.45 (± SD) were higher than learning with conventional media 75.52 ± 5.86 (tcount = 8.147; p = 0.000); (2) There are differences in student learning outcomes that have visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles that are learned with Media Camtasia (Fcount = 24,964; p = 0,000); (5) there are differences in student learning outcomes that have visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles that are learned with Conventional media (Fcount = 6.770; p = 0.002).

Abstract

Along with the development of technology both directly and indirectly can change someone in communicating, socializing and learning, this is a challenge for lecturers to be able to use technology optimally and to facilitate interaction with students in teaching and learning both in class and outside the classroom so that indicators in the unit of lecture events and semester learning design can be achieved. Edmodo is a social network platform for lecturers and students to share ideas, files, agenda of activities and assignments. Edmodo is designed to create lecturer and student interactions that emphasize fast communication, polling, assignments, sharing ideas, and much more. The research aims: 1) to find out whether mathematics learning using Edmodo (experimental) is better than learning without using Edmodo (conventional) on mathematical communication; 2) to find out whether students who study using Edmodo are positive towards learning mathematics. Quantitative research with quasi-experiment method, the research design used is nonequivalent control group design: providing two different treatments to two groups, namely the experimental class (Edmodo) and the control class (conventional). Quantitative data collection and analysis techniques using normality test, homogeneity test, two average similarity test, and t test. The results of the study are: 1). Learning using edmodo is better with learning without using edmodo with mathematical communication skills. 2). Students who learn to use edmodo have a positive attitude towards learning mathematics. The implication of the research is for the next researcher, using edmodo media so that maximum control is needed on students. If further research is conducted with different samples, the results shown will also be different. This can be viewed from a variety of different characteristics of students that greatly affect the ability of mathematical communication.

Abstract

The self-dual cyclic code is a cyclic code where its dual is the same as the cyclic code. This paper will discuss the necessary and sufficient conditions for the non-trivial existence a self-dual cyclic code over a finite chain ring. With this necessary and sufficient conditions, an algorithm is constructed about the construction of a self-dual cyclic code over a finite chain ring with length n. The polynomial factorization x^n-1 over finite field F_q is required in this algorithm steps. This is because each generator element of cyclic self-dual code over finite chain ring corresponds to an ideal from ring to ring F_q [x]/(x^n-1) which is a factorization from x^n-1 over finite field to F_q.
