Abstract

This study deals with the effect of Idiomatic Translation Method in students’ translating descriptive text. The objective of the study is to find out whether Idiomatic translation method affects students’ ability in Translate descriptive text. In carrying out this study, the writer took 40 of 2012 academic year students of English department of HKBP NOMMENSEN UNIVERSITY MEDAN and two classes taken as the sample of her study. They were divided into two groups.The first group (20 students) Group C was experimental group, who was taught by using Idiomatic Translation Method on students’ translate descriptive text while the second group (20 students) Group D was the control group, the descriptive text was taught by using Literal Translation Method. The instrument of the test was written test. Those were pre-test and post-test. The scores of the test were taken to be the data and calculated using t-test formula. The result of computing the t-test show that t-observe is bigger than t-table (1.338 <1.685) at the level of 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) 38, It means that the value of the observed was bigger than value of t-table. It means that the hypothesis “Idiomatic Translation Methodno significantly effect on students’ translating Descriptive text” is Rejected.

Abstract

Dari pengamatan pembelajaran melalui video yang telah dibuat oleh guru diperoleh informasi cara pembelajaran guru yang tidak menggunakan alat peraga dalam mengajar. Mata pelajaran yang diajarkan dalam video tersebut adalah mata pelajaran IPA dengan materi bentuk-bentuk daun. Metode yang digunakan guru saat mengajar adalah dengan menggunakan metode ceramah. Terlihat dari video tersebut, siswa tidak fokus dengan materi yang diajarkan guru, mereka juga merasa bosan karena hanya mendengarkan penjelasan guru.Susana kelas menjadi ribut dan tidak kondusif. Akhirnya siswa tidak memperoleh pengetahuan dari pembelajaran tersebut. Sehingga tujuan pembelajaran seperti yang sudah ditentukan guru di dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajan (RPP) tidak tercapai.

Abstract

This classroom action research was carried out to apply the Learning Model Make a Macth Social Studies Subject The Subject of Telling Historical Figures in the Hindu Hindu and Islamic Period in Indonesia in Class VI SD Negeri 040451 Kabanjahe Academic Year 2018/2019. The purpose of this study was to find out the Learning Implementation of students, knowing the mastery of student learning, knowing the improvement in student learning outcomes applying the Model Make a Match Social Studies Subjects Discussing Historical Figures in the Period of Hindu Buddhism and Islam in Indonesia in Class VI SD Negeri 040451 Kabanjahe Academic Year 2018/2019. The subject of this research is the keas VI totaling 30 people and the research object applies the Make a Macth Model. The instruments used are observation sheets and essay tests. Based on the results of the Cycle I study, the learning activities of the teacher obtained 60% sufficient criteria and the second cycle obtained 78% good criteria. , the activity of students in cycle I was obtained 68 values including sufficient criteria, and cycle II the activity value of students 84 criteria was good, completeness learning cycle I of 30 students 73% or 22 people completed, cycle II 27 people completed their study or 90% and increased learning outcomes 10% apply Learning Model Make a Macth Social Studies Subjects Discuss the Historical Figures in the Hindu Hindu and Islamic Period in Indonesia in Class VI SD Negeri 040451 Kabanjahe 2018/2019 Academic Year. Thus, this study can be concluded that, the implementation of good performance learning, student learning outcomes are completed thoroughly and increase applying Learning Model Make a Macth Social Sciences Subjects Discussing Historical Figures in the Period of Hindu Buddhism and Islam in Indonesia in Class VI Public Elementary School 040451 Kabanjahe Academic Year 2018/2019.

Abstract

Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati Aceh merupakan lembaga lembaga pendidikan dibawah Kementerian Perhubungan yang bertugas mendidik dan melatih Putra-Putri terbaik bangsa untuk menjadi pelaut yang mempunyai tupoksi melaksanakan pendidikan dan pelatihan teknis fungsional dan manajerial di bidang kepelautan tingkat dasar dan menengah.  Membangun manajemen mutu organisasi secara bertahap dengan peningkatan kapasitas seluruh sumber daya lembaga diklat secara terus menerus guna memperoleh kinerja pelayanan organisasi yang berkualitas dan membangun jejaring kerja dengan para stakeholder, dunia usaha dan industri subsektor transportasi laut dalam rangka pemberian kontribusi dunia usaha kepada pencapaian tujuan pendidikan dan pelatihan”                Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara bersama-sama budaya kerja dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan lembaga di Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati Aceh.                Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kinerja karyawan lembaga di Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati Aceh. Objek penelitian ini adalah para karyawan yang secara nyata dan aktif melaksanakan tugas, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 130 orang karyawan Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati Aceh.                Hasil penelitian secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa budaya kerja dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati Aceh. Sedangkan hasil penelitian secara parsial juga menunjukkan bahwa budaya kerja dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati Aceh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya kerja mempunyai pengaruh dominan terhadap peningkatan kinerja karyawan Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati Aceh, sedangkan motivasi kerja mempunyai pengaruh lebih kecil terhadap peningkatan kinerja karyawan pada Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati Aceh.

Abstract

The study was conducted because there were problems with the students' learning outcomes. Problems faced by students that is less than the maximum use of tools or learning media, so that students lack the spirit of learning and less interested and less active in following the science lesson in the class . To overcome these problems, then conducted research using Snowball Throwing model which aims to know the implementation Learning and improve students' learning outcomes. The type of research is Classroom Action Research. Data collection tools used at the time of the study are observation sheets and tests validated by validators. The study was conducted in 2 cycles and each cycle was held for 2 hours. Based on the research results obtained the observation of teachers and students who expressed good category. The average of student learning outcomes in cycle I and II is 69,27 and 72,5. In cycle I, there are 20 (74,10%) students complete KKM whereas in cycle II there are 24 (88,90%) students complete KKM. Completeness of student learning outcomes has been completed in a classical way. Based on the results of the research it can be stated that the use of Snowball Throwing model can improve student learning outcomes in science lessons of natural resources materials and the results in class IV SD Negeri 050604 Bekiun year 2016/2017 lessons.

Abstract

Along with the increase in the number of human population and economic conditions that are increasingly advanced, the public awareness of health is increasing. In addition, currently access to services for the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS) is getting wider, the hospital must be able to add capacity to existing facilities and improve the quality of services. This study aims to implement the Fuzzy Servqual method and Quality Function Deployment on the quality of BPJS Health services in H. Adam Malik Hospital and determine which attributes are priority improvements. Data processing based on the criteria of the Fuzzy-Servqual method by determining fuzzy sets, fuzzyfication and defuzzyfication. determine the Gap and determine the priority of improvement using the Quality Function Deployment method. The results of this study indicate that all 19 BPJS service attributes provided by applying the Fuzzy Servqual method still do not meet patient expectations, because the value of patient satisfaction with services is still lower than the expectation value. Attributes that must be prioritized to improve their quality, namely: Revelation Attribute of Q2 with a gap value -3.68, Revelation Attribute of Q7 with a gap value of -1.58., Revelation Attribute of Q12 with a gap value of -1.58. The technical response that became the main target was the Procurement of Excellent Training Services, the addition of AC Fan in the inpatient room, making improvements to the facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This class action research was carried out applying the Jigsaw Type Learning Model on the Globalization Theme of the Asean Free Narcotics Sub-Class VI Elementary School 040462 Kabanjahe in the academic year 2019/2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of learning, know the completeness of learning outcomes and to find out the improvement of student learning outcomes. The subjects of this research were class VI totaling 31 people and the object of research was the implementation of the Jigsaw Type learning model. The instruments used were observation sheets and essay tests.Based on the results of the Cycle I research, the implementation of learning activities of teachers is 60% enough criteria and the second cycle is 80% good criteria, the activity of the cycle I students is 66 grades enough and the results of the second cycle research results 85 good criteria. Mastery learning students cycle I 68% or 21 people from 30 students in one class. Cycle II completeness of student learning increased to 90% or 28 people and an increase of up to 5% to implement the Jigsaw Type Learning Model Theme of Globalization of the Asean Free Narcotics Community Class VI Elementary School 040462 Kabanjahe in the academic year 2019/2020.

Abstract

ABSTRACTEducation does not necessarily greatly affect learning outcomes and Closed education: students, educators, materials, models / methods, curriculum, learning facilities and infrastructure. Educators are people who are responsible for the implementation of education targeting students. Student trainees improve their education in three environments, namely the Family Environment, School Environment, and Community Environment. Therefore, those responsible for education are parents, teachers, leaders in the learning, training and community programs. However, so far there is still something found in the learning process carried out. Therefore to solve this problem actions will be chosen using the Talking Stick Model because by using the Talking Stick model, the student acceptance process will be more memorable about making agreements by making good. Students will also be more active and interested in participating in learning because they are directly involved in learning a kensep through stick games by the teacher and students themselves in the classroom.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi memberikan pengaruh pada eksistensi permainan tradisional sebagai warisan budaya lokal masyarakat. Anak lebih senang memainkan game online dari pada aktif bermain sekaligus aktif melestarikan permainan tradisional. Fenomena ini juga terjadi di masyarakat Sumatera Selatan. Perlu adanya usaha untuk melestarikan permainan tradisional salah satunya melalui pengembangan bahan ajar pada kurikulum Pendidikan Jasmani. Permainan tradisional digunakan sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi Permainan CBA (Culture Based Athletic) pada pembelajaran atletik sebagai solusi alternatif melestarikan permainan tradisional di Sumatera Selatan. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif melalui dokumentasi, observasi dan kuisioner kepada Guru Pendidikan Jasmani. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Permainan CBA efektif digunakan pada pembelajaran atletik kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar karena adanya kesamaan pemetaan gerak dasar antara permainan CBA, permainan tradisional Sumatera Selatan dan ketercapaian kompetensi pembelajaran atletik, 2) Permainan CBA mampu menjadi media untuk pengenalan dan menumbuhkan kesadaran siswa pada permainan tradisional Sumatera Selatan sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu solusi dalam melestarikan permainan tradisional di Sumatera Selatan.Kata Kunci: Permainan tradisional, pembelajaran atletik, melestarikan budaya lokal

Abstract

This report is based on field study which is conducted at the field study which is conducted at the end of every semester starting in 2001 unto July 2002. The research was conducted in Kabanjahe and Berastagi. It is a qualitative study of Batak Karo music culture based on various branches of science.Batak Karo funeral music is traditional music which has been existed for long time and has become a part of Batak Karo life. It is supposed that Batak Karo funeral music is a cultural heritage of Indian. This can be proved from the existence of Sembiring Brahmana clan, cremation and belief in God which is represented in there forms.The music instruments which are used in the funeral ritual processions are also used in the seculer music performances. The five Batak Karo music instruments are caloled Gendang Lima Sidalanen and the players are called Penggual. The funeral procession music uses short melody which is reported continuously until the singing and dancing (Landek) for the death is finished. The pitch has not been stated clearly but empirically it can be said that used two pentatonic pitches, namely; hemitonic and unhemitonic pitches.Up to now, having changed the instruments several times, Gendang Lima Sedalanen is still used. The changing of the music instruments and the duration of the funeral ritual procession music performance is caused by the sensitivy of Batak Karo musicans / artist to the beauty and the religious factors followed by Batak Karo societies.
