Abstract

This research aims the use of teaching problem based learning model can increase result of exam from mathematic student in fourth SD Negeri No 14 Simbolon Purba on basic competencies to solve case about the measure of time, length, and weight. This research is a classroom action research. This subject ot this study are the fourth graders of SD No. 14 Simbolon Purba Samosir which amounted to 20 studensts. Teacher activity observation percentage increase 72.36% from the first stage become 85.52% at the second stage. Student percentage observation increase from 70% become 85% at second stage. The result of research from percentage final classical learning increase from 65% at first stage become 95%at second stage. So it can be concluded using learning problem bases learning model can increase learning outcomes for mathematics in fourth elementary school in SD NEGERI No. 14 SIMBOLON PURBA.

Abstract

This research aims to find out: program formulation, management implementation, and the obstacles faced by the Director in carrying out management and improving the instructor's professionalism. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach—data collection techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The subjects of this research are directors, sub-sections, instructors, lecturers, and training participants. The study results show that: (1) Program Director in improving services to training participants, the mechanism of its formulation begins with finding out the cultural and social background, and deliberation between stakeholders such as sub-section heads, instructors, lecturers. The programs that are prepared are long-term, medium-term, and short-term programs, and all of these programs are guided by the regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and instructions from the IMO (International Maritime Organization). All of this is already in the management of the Director as stated in the Director's program to improve services. (2) The Director implements director management to improve service by the Director applying the management to himself as an example for his subordinates, and the Director takes approaches to improve the instructor's professionalism

Abstract

Learning models that are in accordance with the needs of the subject matter will create a quality learning process, so that predetermined competencies are achieved. To be able to apply a learning model that is in accordance with IPS subject matter, an effective teacher has the ability to use a variety of learning models. Problem solving learning model is a learner-centered learning model by confronting these students with various life problems, the purpose of which is to stimulate the development of creative and comprehensive thinking skills of students in solving problems. Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian adalah kurang maksimalnya hasil belajar matematika siswa khususnya pada materi penyelesaian masalah yang berkaitan dengan materi jarak, waktu dan kecepatan. Penelitian dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan, kesulitan, dan faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah berkaitan dengan menentukan jarak, waktu dan kecepatan. Sebagai populasi semua kelas V SD Negeri 040551 Lau Pakam Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 yang mengumpulkan 30 siswa dan sekaligus sebagai sampel penelitian. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan penelitian kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif.Berdasarkan analisis data dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan materi jarak, waktu dan kecepatan yang diperoleh; (1) kemampuan siswa termasuk kriteria rendah dengan rata-rata 24,29, (2) siswa kesulitan memahami tentang waktu, mengubah waktu, jarak, dan kecepatan, (3) faktor penyebab kesulitan siswa adalah mengubah ukuran, dan kecepatan, guru kurang maksimal menggunakan media pembelajaran, kurang perhatian dari orang tua.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how big the prediction of the composition of the population of Central Tapanuli Regency by sex in 2006-2016 by using the Non-Linear Trend: Rank Two Polynomial Method (parabolic trend).Forecasting is a forecast of what will happen in the future. Forecast predicts a value in the future by making a prediction on the composition of the population of Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah, focusing on gender (male and female) forecasting will be sought separately, after that the total population of the Regency of Tapanuli Tengah will be calculated. Based on these predictions a trend line is produced.This research was conducted by using the Non Linear Trend: Rank Two Polynomial Method (parabolic trend). The trend line is basically a regression line where the independent variable X is a time variable. Both regression lines and trends can be straight lines (linear regression / trend) or not straight (non linear regression/ trend). The parabolic trend line equation is as follows: (t = time).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the students' abilities and the factors that cause students' learning difficulties in materializing the behavior of the national spirit in life in the field of Civics study in class XI of SMA Swasta Cerdas Bangsa for the Academic Year 2020/2021. This research was conducted at SMA Swasta Cerdas Bangsa with a sample of 32 students from SMA class XI IPA. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The data collection instruments used are, questionnaires and tests. After analyzing the data on the results of the study, it was found that the students' ability to materialize the behavior of the national spirit in life in the Civics study field, obtained an average score of 71.11 and the criteria were quite capable. The results showed that the factors causing learning difficulties for Class XI IPA students of SMA Swasta Cerdas Bangsa for the Academic Year 2020/2021 in the Civics Study on Materials Realizing the behavior of the national spirit in life was an internal factor from the students themselves, namely the lack of ability to understand the material given by the teacher. by online. External factors are also the cause of student learning difficulties, namely the lack of learning facilities available to students, lack of attention from parents in the online learning system that is being implemented in the world of education.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to discover: (1) the differences of problem solving ability enhancement between students taught by applying realistic mathematical learning approach and Inquiry approach, (2) the interaction between learning approach (PMR and Inquiry) with the capability of beginning math students towards students’ problem solving ability enhancement, (3) the troubleshooting process of students’ problem solving between students taught by applying realistic mathematical learning approach and Inquiry approach. This study is a quasi experiment research. The population of this study consist of all students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tanjung Morawa. The sample of this study was 2 classes consist of 66 sudents taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The data was analyzed by using anova two lanes. It is found that (1) there is a difference of students problem solving enhancement between students taught by applying realistic mathematical learning approach and Inquiry approach, (2) there is an interaction between learning approach (PMR and Inquiry) with the capability of beginning math  students  towards  students’  problem  solving ability  enhancement, (3) a description discussion about the troubleshooting process of students problem solving students taught by applying realistic mathematical learning approach and Inquiry approach.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui tingkat kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada pembelajaran yang dianalisis melalui lembar jawaban siswa, mengetahui kesalahan yang sering dilakukan oleh siswa dan yang menjadi penyebab siswa melakukan kesalahan. Teknik pengumpulan data memberikan soal tes komunikasi matematis siswa    untuk mengumpulkan informasi dari hasil tes. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa/i kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Paranginan. Adapun alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pemberian tes yang diberikan berupa tes kemampuan matematis sebanyak 3 soal. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu:1) Kemampuan menghubungkan benda nyata ke dalam ide-ide matematika sebesar 34%. Pada penelitian ini peserta didik dapat menuliskan informasi yang diketahui dan ditanyakan atau tujuan dari permasalahan, 2) Kemampuan menyatakan peristiwa sehari-hari dengan simbol-simbol matematika dalam menyajikan ide-ide matematik secara tertulis sebesar 25%. Pada penelitian ini peserta didik dapat menggunakan simbol-simbol matematika saat menuliskan informasi yang diperoleh dari soal dan saat menyelesaikan permasalahan, 3) Kemampuan menjelaskan ide, situasi sehari-hari dan relasi matematik, secara tertulis maupun dengan gambar sebesar 30%.. Kesalahan yang sering dilakukan siswa dalam penelitian ini adalah kesalahan konsep, kesalahan operasi, dan kurang teliti. Adapun yang menjadi penyebab siswa melakukan kesalahan adalah karena faktor lupa, kurang teliti, kesulitan dalam belajar dan waktu belajar dirumah yang kurang.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the result of student learning has not been fullest. The purpose of this research is to know the results of student learning and influence the use of experimental methods towards learning outcomes students on subjects natural science material properties of light in class V 2017/2018 academic year.This type of research is quasi experiment. This research is carried out in SD Negeri 101790 Marindal II Patumbak Sub-district. The population of this research is the whole grade V SD Negeri 101790 Marindal II Patumbak Sub-district of 51 students all at once into the research sample is divided into two parallel classes. Data collection tool used is a form of test and analysis of the data used is test, test of its homogeneity and normality and hypothesis testing to use independent test between two factors.Data analysis of the results obtained that the results of student learning on subjects natural science Material properties of light are not the same after using the experimental method in the class V SD Negeri 101790 Marindal II Patumbak Sub-district, the values obtained the average student learning outcomes and 76.80 on subjects natural science material properties of light are not the same increased after using conventional learning in class V SD Negeri 101790 Marindal II Patumbak Subdistrict, obtained average value of 62.42. And the results of student learning on subjects natural science material properties of light using experimental methods better than using conventional learning in class V SD Negeri 101790 Marindal II 2017/2018 Patumbak Sub-district

Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1) The difference between students 'social studies learning outcomes taught by local cultural-based learning approaches and students' social learning outcomes taught by conventional approaches; 2) Differences in social studies learning outcomes of students who have high diversity values compared to social studies learning outcomes of students who have low diversity values; and 3) Interaction between learning approaches and diversity values towards students' social studies learning outcomes. This research was conducted at 067774 Public Elementary School, Medan Johor District. The population in this study was fifth grade students consisting of 50 students. Data collection techniques in this study were the diversity of questionnaires and social studies learning achievement tests. The method used is quasi experiment with 2x2 factorial design. Data analysis techniques using two-way ANAVA at a significant level α = 0.05. The results showed that: (1) There was a difference between the learning outcomes of students who were taught with the approach to learning based on local culture and the learning outcomes of students who were taught with conventional approaches (Fcount = 17.064; sig. = 0,000 <0.05); (2) There are differences in social studies learning outcomes of students who have high diversity values compared with social studies learning outcomes of students who have low diversity values (Fcount = 10.602; sig. = 0.002 <0.05); and (3) There is an interaction between learning approaches and diversity values in influencing social studies learning outcomes (Fcount = 22.115; sig. = 0.000 <0.05). The results of this study indicate that the learning approach and diversity values influence the students' social studies learning outcomes.
